Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters
Review by Mage
"A fun Game-boy game that will leave you frustrated"
Gameplay: (5) Well, you play as a young winged hero who has been given a mission by the princess to find the 3 treasures of the land so that you may attempt to stop the evil. Along the way, shooting with your bow, you encounter black markets, trainers, and millions of monsters.
Graphics: (4) For a gameboy game, they are pretty good. Each world is divided up into 3 stages and a castle, however, the castles all look identical, and the stages are also fairly drab. The monsters are always the same, and Icarus never changes until the last stage.
Sound: (3) Ugh, i hate gameboy sound! It's boring, tedious, and nerve-wrenching. The bow shooting noise will drive you nuts, the little fizzle the monsters do when they die is worse, and the jumping noise is absolutely pointless. The music is also rather bad.
Story: (4) as i said before, you must quest through 3 worlds to find the hidden treasures, and then you go on to try and stop the great evil from destroying the land. A fairly done plot, but not a bad one.
Replay ability: (3) isn't really there. If you manage to get through the game once, you wont want to look at it again.
All in all, buy this game at some used store for 10 dollars, play it, and then sell it back to them.
