Mega Man II

"Mega Man's back!"

Mega Man's back! In one title of his long and succesful career, Mega Man hits the small screen for Mega Man II for GB. Dr. Wily is at it again and this time you face 8 of his robots. This game was a lot of first for Mega Man. This was the first one with rush, energy tanks, and where The Blue Bomber could slide.

Control 5/10: The control can sometimes be very unresponsive, causing you to die easier than normal. The controls are easy to learn. A is used to jump and B is used to fire your weapon, which ever one you have equiped.

Story 6/10: I love the Mega Man story. Being able to choose the order in which you fight the bosses and getting the new weapons. And I think that Dr. Wily is up there with Ganondorf as one of the all time great villans.

Graphics 8/10: Mega Man and his foes are wonderfully done. Although I think that he looks like a total wimp in this game, he's still a great hero.

Sound 3/10: The sound is so annoying and repeative that you have to turn it down before you start your Game Boy.

Gameplay 7/10: The diffuculty level will callenge even the best players. It may be too difficult for some newer players, but they will quickly get the hang of it. The one problem is the fact that it's to easy to lose your energy and lives that the game gets boring.

Replay Value 3/10: Due to the fact that there aren't much secerts in this game, the fact that you pick the order in which you progress in the game gives it some replay value.

Overall 7/10: This game has earned it's title of being called a Mega Man game. If they had spent a little more time on it it would be perfect. I would give this game a chance but think twice before deciding to buy it.
