Star Trek: 25th Anniversary
Review by Lord Byron
"Graphically sparse, but fun"
Star Trek 25th Anniversary is a graphically sparse, but eventually "engaging" cart. If you would enjoy maneuvering the Enterprise around asteroids, Klingon warbirds, Tholian drones and such, this is your game. "Maneuvering" is the operative word. Unlike the phenomenal Star Trek: The Next Generation Game Boy cart, this is not a Star Trek sim. You maneuver as the Enterprise and, on away team missions, as the intrepid Captain Kirk. That's it. There's no real different missions, it's just 3/4 overhead view on the planets (which,by the way, look all the same.) and side view of the Enterprise. Basically, if you're looking for a Star Trek sim, buy Next Generation. If you're looking for a quality side-scroller that just happens to have a Star Trek name, pick up 25th.
