Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan
Review by Mmeeva
"The Turtles are gone, but not forgotten."
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan is perhaps one of the best Ninja Turtles game made on the Game Boy. Following the adventures of four young turtles, Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo, and Donatello as you once again try to stop the evil forces of the Shredder.
Gameplay- The gameplay in this game is quite simple. Following only a few stages, the average gamer should have no trouble whatsoever in beating this game. The control in the game is a little rough at times, but is forgivable when you figure you're playing it on a gameboy.
Story- The story of the game is pretty much like every other Ninja Turtle game out there. You choose on of the four turtles and hack and slash through each stage as you make your way to the evil Shredder.
Audio- The audio is actually quite good in this game, even for a Gameboy game. The most memorable song you'll hear is right at the beginning where the intro song plays in the background, and will probably bring back memories of the old days.
Video- The graphics are quite well done. It is good enough to recognize each character, and enemies, although if you were to look at which turtle you picked it would be a little difficult to tell which one you choose. All in all it is quite nice, considering when this game was made.
Replayability- The replay value on this game is just a little bit low. Once you beat the game there is really no reason to go back and play the game again. Sure you could use different turtles for each stage, but they are too similar to be considered different. Although the game does have hidden bonus stages located throughout the game, and this will take some time to locate them all.
If you were a fan of the Ninja Turtles, you should really give this game a try. It brought back memories of the times when the Ninja Turtles were hot, and were just about everywhere. If anything just play it for nostalgic effect.
