Kirby's Dream Land

If you're a fan of Kirby then you must pick this one up if you haven't already.

Story 9/10

From what I got from it King Dedede stole all the food from Dreamland and is getting away with it until everyone's favorite pink puffball comes along and has nothing to eat. Here starts the rivalry of a duck king guy and the little pink puffball of power!

Graphics 10/10

For the Gameboy this is great! The character designs are great. Kirby looks great. The backgrounds even look great. Great. Great. Great. And if you have a Gameboy Color or a Gameboy Advance these graphics will improve even further! Need I say more?

Gameplay 9/10

These controls are so easy to learn that even my cat can play Kirby's Dreamland(even though he's not the good :). Press A to jump. Up to float and jump. B to suck things and spit them out. And side to side to move well.. side to side. EASY. Another thing to add here is that since this is the first Kirby game he doesn't have the ability to absorb an enemies powers.

Sound/Music 9/10

You have your typical Kirby sounds and music here. You have the floating and hopping noise. The sucking noise. The spitting noise. The music is typical Kirby music. Happy during most of the levels and different types of music for the boss levels.

Challenge 4/10

Here is where the game loses it's greatness. This is the Kirby's Dreamland's only major letdown. If it was just a couple of hours longer I would be happy. Really happy. Really really happy.

Replay Value 9/10

Even though the game is insanely easy and short the replay value is preeety high. It's kind of fun to spend some time on this game once and a while when you have nothing else to do. I beat the game three times in one day once. I was sooooo bored.

To Buy or to Rent?

I seriously doubt you would be able to find this in a Blockbuster. So if you are a fan of the Kirby series then I say that you should definitely pick this one up. You could easily get this from Ebay for 10-15 dollars. You could also get this from a Gamestop for even cheaper if they have it. BUY IT!
