"All in all, an underrated game"

You play as Kevin McAllister, whose family is away and he is left alone. This is based on the 1990 movie of the same name, HOME ALONe. Your goal is to find the items (varies by stage) before Marv and Harry does and collect the key to the
basement. The stages have a different amount of them. You must avoid floor tacks, traps on the floor and the burglars themselves. Items range from the family's jewelry, Kevin's
toys, the Electronics and pets to round it up. The basements are pretty easy except for the last two. In the pets wing, you fight small furnaces (LOL!), Marv, Harry and take on the final foe: A giant furnace. In the movie, he wasn’t afraid of the furnace!

Graphics: 7/10: Some items or characters look better than others. The cutscene backgrounds are well drawn and deserve an honorable mention. It would help if the game had a bit more detail in it.

Sound: 7/10: If you listen closely, some of the music is from the movie. The Home Alone theme (Title screen, Level 1 and Final), the ending, Run, Run, Rudolph (Level 2) and some others. It would also help if the game had more sounds and if it had clearer sound effects, hence the 7 out of ten. It would have gotten a 6 of ten if it did not have good music.

Play Control: 9/10: Kevin moves pretty fast and moves when you want him. Unlike the Castlevania adventure, where your character moves very slowly, this game moves fast. It is pretty hard to control it on a big Gameboy, but it is a cinch to play it on a Color Gameboy with an AC adapter.

Gameplay: 9/10: This may not be a Chrono Trigger, but collectable items (BB Gun, Baseball, Slingshot and the Aftershave along with Pizza slices, a pizza box and cookies). Though this game is pretty short, the final level is a doozy. You must collect 42+ items in order to get the final foes. Ouch, with batteries, that would not be possible.

Challenge: 6/10: It is easy to beat the first three levels and two basements without losing a life, but the final Level and Levels three and four basements were a struggle, but I eventually beat the ghost, the final level and the furnace.

Total: 7/10: I do not know why people say Home Alone is trash that should be done with. It may be made by TH*Q, but this might be one of their “best” games. This game usually falls behind a few video games, the ones that spawned to the Super NES and Gameboy.
