Double Dragon II
Review by Gruel
"Never buy any games for GB published from 1990-1994, like this one"
Graphics: 6: Alright for Game Boy. Much like the NES Double Dragon games, but without color. The backgrounds look good, even though very simple.
Sound: 2: All Game Boy games usually have crappy sound. This one did too, annoying backgound music will make turn off the sound, and the sound effects aren't the greatest either.
Gameplay: 4: I bought this game when I saw it for sale, used, fonr only $5 at Premeir Video, thinking it'd be a great game like it's NES counterparts, but it's nothing like it. The graphics are the same, but gameplay is utter crap. All you do is punch or kick, and if you pull off a few punches or kicks in a row, you get them temporarily stunned and you can do an uppercut, or spinning kick. Nothing else much to do in moves, the computer is really hard to beat, and you'll go nuts trying to beat this game.
Replay Value: 5: At least you can link up with another owner of this game and go through the quest together, making it a bit easier, or you can go at it in a fight, a la SF 2 style, but you can only use the move's I mentioned above, but heck, at least it makes the game just a tad bit funner to play.
Overall: 4: This game sucks! Don't buy it, the only good this about is the linking cpability to fight each other, but I doubt you'll find another person who owns this game anyways.
