Kirby's Dream Land 2
Review by Valic
"Kirby who doesnt love this blob?"
Kirby's Dreamland 2 an awesome game. This game is very similar to Mario, but way better. Just like Mario you can get different powers and friends to help you.
Story - The game really doesnt have a story because you start off in a world called grass land, and theres 5 different levels 1-5, 5 is the boss room. Each world is similar to this but as you progress 1-5 will go 1-6, 1-7, and so on.
Graphics - Kirby, he looks awesome, this game is for regular gameboy and the graphics are awesome! You can see very good detail in Kirby like his skin tone. The enemies detail are just mind blowing for being for regular gameboy, they are very detailed, from every spike to every eye.
Gameplay - This is where the game shines. Like I said you play different worlds after you beat a certain amount of levels, you progress to another world, and do the same. Each level is very similar to Mario, its side scrolling, your goal is to get to the end, you fight mini-bosses, and encounter many different enemies, that you can suck up and gain their special power! You can also get friends by riding on them, like a Gerbil, Owl, or a Fish. The Gerbil is a land creature, Owl a flying creature, and Fish water creature, they help a lot. The powers you get when you have a friend is used differently.
Controls - The controls are very basic and easy, suck up the enemy and press down and you'll gain their power or kill them in your stomach. You can jump, and fly.
Difficulty - As you start the game is moderately tough, but as you progress you notice the bosses get a lot harder. In the beginning the boss is standard, suck up the solid things he drops and spit them back out at him, most of the bosses are like that, but as you progress a lot farther, you'll have to fight either two bosses or one boss will have two or more forms.
Replay - I've played this game over 10 times, I never get sick of sucking the enemy up and spitting them back out at the next enemy! This game is so unique because, how many other games can you play a fat little blob thats kinda cute and sucks up enemies and can gain their power?
Rent or buy - Well always rent before you buy, but I highly recammend buying because you can play this game forever.
Overall rating - This game is a must for any owner of a gameboy/pocket/advance. Hours of fun, and the replay value is through the roof! So try it out, its awesome, and if your a fan of Mario, or already a fan of Kirby this is a MUST buy.
