Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan
Review by Sim Kid
"Great way to procrastinate doing math homework."
Okay, this is one of those ''Old school'' gameboy games and based on an ''old school'' show, that's making a comeback. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yeah, I really liked the show and loved the arcade games, so I decided to check out the gameboy game. Let me tell you, I was greatly dissapointed, mainly because first of all, I had wanted it to be like those arcade games where you can move in all 4 of the directions and beat up the enemies and eventually kick Shredder's Arse, instead all I got was a bad Platformer.
Graphics: 5/10
The graphics have much to be desired. The sprites are terribly done, and look like a 3-year old painted them only using gray paint and dull pencils. The cutscenes where you go in close are the only thing that were able to get this thing from a 0 to a 5, because those are actually done right.
Sound: 4/10
It's basically just that boring techno crud that inhabits all of those early games. I had it on mute the whole time, because I didn't like the sounds either. The enemies make a ''Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech''ing sound, and the cars make a ''Boom'' noise, which does not fit the scene at all, because how does a car go ''boom?'' And one of the most bad things is that when you swing your weapon, it makes a ''doink'' sound, so how does a bo make a ''doink'' sound? I don't know, it's something that baffles us all, day and night.
Controls: 7/10
Okay, you can pick up the controls in like 2.5 seconds, all you need to do is to just use the D pad to move, the A button to jump, and the B button to ''Doink'' Your enemies to death. Sound hard? No. It shouldn't be, as you can clearly see, this is not a recent game, what with all those buttons and knobs and dials and all.
Difficulty: 0/10
Okay, you can PICK your levels. Okay, what kind of psyco let's you PICK your levels? Geez, why don't I just go to Bowser's Castle, maybe THAT'S where I should start, even though peach is right there. Also, it's too easy. I beat it in 10 minutes.
Replay value: 5/10
ARGH! You probably won't want to replay the game, you can probably beat it 527 times in one afternoon, it's simply too easy, even the beginning gamer will find this game easy.
Overall: 4/10
It could be alot better if you weren't able to pick your own stages, or if the levels didn't take 2.5 picoseconds to beat.
Best part: Kicking Krang's Arse.
Worst part: Beating it countless times in 30 minutes.
