"Back to Dreamland, great!"

Kirby’s Dream Land was a very nice action game, too short and easy but really fun, which was the most important thing. This sequel is a HUGE improvement from the previous game, as well as one of the best Game Boy games ever created.

The graphics are as simple as good, and for this reason very detailed and nice, the perfect graphics for the Game Boy. Excellent.

Almost all the Kirby’s games have always had incredible soundtracks, and this one is no exception, the music is AMAZING, some of most nice and catchy tunes ever made are in this beautiful game.

Your goal is to defeat the evil entity Dark Matter that is threatening Dream Land, and to do so you have to pass through seven different worlds, this time with the help of three new friends, Rick the hamster, Coo the owl and Kine the fish.

The controls are very simple, you can jump by pressing the B button, fly if you press the B button again once you are in the air, and swallow enemies with A. If you swallow an enemy an press down you’ll acquire the skill of that enemy (if it has any skill), there are a lot of skills like throwing fire, electricity, boomerangs, becoming a ball full of spikes, a stone, etc. Your three friends will also acquire all of these abilities, but in their own way. Some of these abilities are necessary to obtain all the secret, for example if you are with Kine (the fish) and eat an enemy with electric powers your fish friend will be able to shine and you’ll be able to see in the dark areas with hidden treasures.

The difficulty is still very low, but now there are some secrets that can be a bit hard to find, and you are going to replay the game for sure, because it’s very very fun.

So, this game is a must if you own a GB, a GB without this Kirby is like Walter Mattau without Jack Lemmon, or like Indiana Jones without his hat and whip, it is incongruent.
It may seems unbelievably childish, but who cares if its so much fun?, if you can find it, buy it now, just don’t get a rom or try to play without a Game Boy, believe me, it is not the same.
