Kirby's Pinball Land
Review by Braben
"Take aim with Kirby!"
I have never liked pinballs, playing only to make a higher punctuation is for me a waste of time. This one was also my first Kirby game, I don’t know why did I buy it, knowing nothing about how good Kirby games were no matter what kind of weird mix thy are based on. But thankfully something made me bought it, and now I am a 20 years old Kirby fan, and very proud of it.
So, it’s all about pinballs right?, not near, this is a Kirby game, so we will find lots of great additions to make the gaming experience much, much involving, interesting and addictive.
The game’s main goal is not to make the highest score, like always, beating the evil King Dedede and his minions Wispy-Woods, Kracko, and the Poppy Brothers is the most important thing. Sound too cute for your tastes?, maybe, but it is so fun that you won’t be able to stop.
There are only three pinball tables available, each table is divided in three levels, if you beat the third level you will to face a boss, and once you defeat all the three bosses King Dedede will be waiting.
If Kirby drains off one of the tables he falls to the Springboard, he’ll have to push the A buttons when this Springboard drops down to its lowest position to jump back to the table, depending on how accurate you were in the Springboard Kirby can reach the third level of any table in no time, but there is a limited number of times you can do this.
The graphics and sound are Kirby standards, that means the graphics are as good as they can be for the GB and that the music is tremendously catchy.
Replay Value:
Almost endless, I have been playing this Kirby for five years now, and every time I have to go on a long trip Pinball Land always come with me. Then we also have three fun mini games that act as bonus stages. So addictive that you will be playing for years.
No wonder this game is one of Nintendo’s player choice, as any other Kirby game this is A MUST for any GB owner, no matter if you like pinballs or not, it doesn’t even matter if you dislike Kirby.
