Pac-Man

"This game is ok.........."

Pac-Man is a game about a yellow ball that runs around eating little dots in an arena filled with blobs of some sort that try to get you before you eat all their dots.

Graphics 7/10: Come on give this game a break it was made a really long time ago and game play was not as advanced as it is now, so yes the graphics are going to be bad. But the producer and designers did the best they could with what they had.I give the graphics seven out of ten because they are not too bad, I mean what do you want a big three-dimensional show for such a simple game. Why would you want it to be 3-D anyway that would make it harder and more confusing.

Sound 4/10: OK the sound they could have spent a little more time on but its good enough. The little noise when you eat a dot does get kind of annoying after a long time of playing. Their is ot much else to say about this besides that their really should have been a little better back-ground music. Though the intermission music is ok to listen to.

Re-playability 6/10: It is a little addicting if you have not played it in a while, because it is a little challenge and it makes you want to beat it but you can't. It does get boring after a while of doing he same thing over and over on the same format type of level and the only type of reward you get for wining is some little intermission type of video thing.

Playtime 5/10: It takes about 5 hours to beat this game, but it mostly depends on how skilled you are gaming and your reflexes ave to be good too. So i guess the playtime really depend on the person that plays it and even if you want to keep playing it seeing as how it gets kind of repetitive. I would have to say about 5 hours is the average time, and if you think thats too short of a time try beating it in.

Story 0/10:Their is no story to this game, thats probably why it went so far in its game career. What kind of story would pac-man make? You have to get all the dots from the goobers that stole them... No, this game probably made it this far because no one would play a game hearing about its story line. Thats why they did not make one, because if some kid told me to play a game about saving a few dots from evil goobers I would run as fast as i could from that game because it sounded boring.

Game play 9/10: The controls a a breeze to learn for anyone. Left, Right, Up and Down thats all you need to know about it. And in pac-man all you need to do is eat dots through a maze like arena place and keep away from the goobers and occasionally eat some fruit in the middle.

Overall Summary 6/10: I rated this game a 6/10 because the producers probably could have spent a little more time on it that they did but it turned out to be an ok game to play even today.
Pros- Its easy, the controls are easy and its a challenge for all ages.
Cons-The graphics are ok, the sound is fine but repetitive, and the re-playability is not so good.

Pac-Man is a good game overall if you look past all the flaws.
