"A very under played game"

Intro:
From the moment my brother got this for Christmas, I didn't want to put it down. I still play it to this day, and while it has lost a little of its appeal, I still like to pop it in once in awhile.

Gameplay: 9/10
A great arcade-style 2-D action flight shooter. Wow that was a long description. Anyway, in this game, there are five different games. No, I'm not crazy, there really are five different games. R-Type DX, R-Type Deluxe, R-Type Deluxe II, R-Type, and R-Type II. They are all very addicting games where you fight alien ships, collect weapon power-ups, and get robotic helpers. My only gripe about this is that if you die, you lose all your power-ups. Then, you are forced to gain all of them all over again, but against harder enemies. So make sure you don't die.

Story: 8/10
Not a very original story. Aliens are apparently taking over your base, and you have to stop them. Not original, but it gets the job done.

Music: 7/10
Good music, gets you into the game, making you feel as if you are going to save your base.

Sound: 8/10
Very well done. Every weapon has a different sound, and hearing the explosions of enemy ships that you just blew up is always nice.

Challenge: 8/10
A very hard game, but not hard enough that you will want to take the cart out of your Game Boy and smash it against a wall, burn the micro-chips then flush them down the toilet. What are you all staring at, I never did that! Anyway, this is a challenging game, and with its five different games, should keep you occupied for weeks to come.

Replay Value: 10/10
A very fun game, you'll want to play this game all the time. Its so good, because when you beat one game, there are always more! And, when/if you beat all five games, it will be awhile since you played the first one, so you will want to go back to play the first one again.

Buy or Rent:
Definitely buy this game, it is a load of fun, and you'll like it a lot. I highly recommend this game, as you should to your friends.
