Kirby's Dream Land

"The Kirby's Dreamland Review"
Hi! this is my second review. I'm very excited because it is. Let's get on to the review.
This was kirby's debut game. He wasn't even called Kirby back then. Instead, his name was PoPoPo
Story 1/10
This the worst part of the game. King DeDeDe has stolen all the food and Kirby (originally named PoPoPo) has to stop him. DeDeDe has sent out his minions to stop him. He has also given a bunch of stars to the bosses all over dreamland. The game doesn't tell you of the storyline until you find out what is going on AFTER beating the game (or you read the instruction booklet).
Difficulty 3-7/10
The difficulty is mostly depended upon your tastes. Normal mode is a 3 rating. Extra mode is 5. Beating Extra mode setting your vitality to 1 is a 7. Actually, this game IS harder than most kirby games. I guess that is because NES and SNES have harder and better games than the ones today. But that's just my opinion, okay?
Game play 10/10
This game is fun. I guess that's because ALL Hal Laboratory games are fun. It's a bit hard to control kirby sometimes, but once you get used to "Kirby's laws of physics", you should be fine. All next levels increase in the need for you to fly except the last, which shouldn't take long to get to.
Length 5/10
This game is VERY short. Like, shorter than any game in the world. I guess that's why you unlock other stuff. once again, you unlock things, like in most Hal Laboratory games. There are 10 levels if you count the Extra mode ones and after you beat the game, you get "more fun". Mostly, the game has clever ways of hiding things from you.
Graphics 9/10
The game has very well animated movement and unlike other game boy games, kirby has 3 frames of movement. This game doesn't have any background animation except on level 3 and it doesn't have the modern day kirby inhale graphic when you can actually see kirby's mouth from the side view. What this game has is smooth animation, multi-frame movement,, the beloved mini animations between levels ( very cute), and the nice 2-D backgrounds
Sound and music 9/10
Many of the sounds are highly catchy. So watch your ears or else you'll be humming it for 2 hours straight through school. Anyway, the music is great and it has multiple instruments like the whistle, the NES beeping noise, and the classical NES deh music. Congratulations, you have just created an orchestra. If you beat the Extra mode, you'll get a real treat for your trouble.
In Conclusion...
Kirby's dreamland is a great game. It can be played over and over again until your eyeballs pop out of your head. I must of played it 3 times with one vitality on Extra mode until I finally beat the game. Sorry, no copy abilities, just a microphone and a few other stuff to use as defense. I highly recommend that you buy it once it catches your eyes. It's pretty rare, like Kirby Superstar (which I am still trying to get), so try looking for it on EBay or Gamestop. This game will satisfy you like everykirby game.
