Qix

Review by Gugilymugily

"An interesting game, that is one-of-a-kind."

Well, this is Qix. You've probably never heard of this game. I don't know why I got it but I'm glad I did. It's a bit of an unsusual puzzle game. Well, let's get to the review shall we?
Graphics
Well, this is old gameboy so you can't expect that much from it. What can I say? There's the little guy you control, the guy made up of a whole bunch of little lines, and the portions of the field you cut off. It's plain graphics, but it's still decent.
Graphics-6
Sound/Music
There is barely any music and what there is isn't really noticeable. The sound effects aren't really that much either, though they are there, and that's something.
Sound/Music-4
Gameplay
Well, the gameplay is definitely interesting, but it's not the best. The different speeds you can have your little guy go are the most interesting things in the whole gameplay. Still, the gameplay is good.
Gameplay-7
Multi Player
Well, it does have a multiplayer, but I don't know what it does because it is such a rare game to find. If there are 2 copies of this game in 189 gameboy owners it's lucky. I highly doubt you will ever use the multiplayer mode, so don't get overexcited about it.
Replay Value
This replay value is very interesting. It will have you play in spurts, you play for a little, then stop, you play for a little, and stop. The replay value is a definite so-so.
Replay Value-5
Buy/Rent/Avoid
Well, since you can't really rent gameboy games from the early 1990s and you can get this game for about $6.00. If you can find it, I say buy it. It has a 2-Player mode, but I don't know anyone else who owns this game, so I wouldn't go buying the game based on the fact that it has a multiplayer mode.
