Bart Simpson's Escape From Camp Deadly

I really hate to write bad reviews, but sometimes you have no choice, and I only write reviews where they are limited posted, so the public can see whats going on. I was greatly deceived by EB games, they had this game listed as a "Classic" with about six or seven one line reviews saying how great it was. I should of listen to the detailed ones in here, instead I tried my luck, Doh!!!

In few words if they took the Bart Simpson tag off this game, it wouldn't sell at all. For starters the graphics are horrible, I know it was the early 90s, but I have seen better graphics in video games in the late 80's. There is no excuse for a big name like the Simpsons, not to be able to get top of the line graphics. And whats the deal of not having Homer or Marge in the game? The Simpsons are not just about Bart and Lisa. The Sound thats just another story, the original them song is great, but to bad they don't keep it on all the times, and when you die...... this horrible noise comes on which you want to turn off the sound.

Its kind of hard for me to give a game a good review when you can't finish it, don't know if I even made it half way, it just got too annoying. The worse thing in any video game is not having a continue option. So in other words you waste about an hour or so, then you die, and they expect you to go thew the whole thing again??? What are these people thinking about???? The game play is terrible, the only reason I lasted so long was cause I was curious about the game and wondered if it got better after awhile, but not really. All you do is walk around, jump throw a boomerang, which has a mind of its own, your foes pop up out of anywhere, and the slightest touch, your dead. This is the basic of the game. After awhile you wonder why you even bother.

The bottom line is why do we play games like this which we know is bad? Well one thing comes to mind is, if your a video game freak, eventually you will run out of good games, and you give ones like this a try, and you get mad at yourself, but at least you can have some bragging rights you played it, and if your stubborn enough to say you cleared it. But for me this game is going on the self for now, and I'm glad I only paid eight bucks for it.
