"In MegaCity-One, He is the Law..."
STORY: In the future, the justice system collapsed. Crime was at a high peak, and something needed to be done. A council got together and decided to make a new order that had the power to be judge, jury, and executioner, all in one. They were....the judges. Judge Dredd must save MegaCity One from groups of criminalsthe evil Judge Rico. Play the game that follows the movie closely, and adds more levels after the movie storyline ends.
(9/10)
CONTROL: Although there's only 2 buttons to use during gameplay, which seems like it should limit the control, it actually isn't hard at all to get used to. By pausing the game you can switch weapons easily, and each one has a specific use. (ie: grenades blow up ammo containers for you)
You can run, jump, shoot, punch, climb, and more.
(9/10)
GRAPHICS/SOUND: Even though it's a Game Gear game, I say the graphics are awesome. They closely resemble the actual Genesis game, and are very detailed. The sound also is very good, although it has that same weird sound problem that most game gear games have. SFX are good, gunshots are distinct, and otherwise the music sounds like the genesis game.
(8/10)
REPLAYABILTY: The only thing that I think will keep you from playing the game for a while is lack of batteries, and game overs. Playing the same levels over doesnt even get boring....for a while. But the levels are really well designed making it fun to play them all.
(9/10)
FUN-FACTOR: Whether you're a fan of Dredd or not, the game is fun. Its plays just like the genesis game and has many levels to keep you occupied. A lot of action and a good storyline can keep you playing for a while.
9/10)
OVERALL: I think this game is definatley worth buying, you can pick it up at FuncoLand.com for about $5, and it'll sure keep you happy. Buy it now!!
