Sonic the Hedgehog 2

"Fun and it's portable though the graphics are a bit strange than the original."

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is actually a conversion from the original game from Genesis. So now, the game is totally portable and you can bring it everywhere you want to!

Graphics – 8
I can't help noticing the graphics since it's a bit smaller and uglier from the Genesis version. Colours are still used correctly, animations are strange and even the characters look funny too!

Music – 9
They have nice and bright themes background music for every stage so you can listen perfectly to it. Of course, I can't resist to say that the sound effects are great too.

Gameplay – 9
A totally fun game, even if you are new to the world of Sonic! Best of all, there is a new additional character. Introducing the new, fluffy fox character called Miles, better known as Tails. He can spin and do anything like Sonic except that he can fly about. You can also control as Tails!

The action stages are quite normal, with enemy characters called ‘Badniks' that will eventually come and disturb your beloved character. Two types of attacks here, one is jump and the other is spin. Special item boxes are scattered throughout the stages and you can either be invincible for a short while, get a shield and more rings! Rings are the most important part in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 since when you have a ring, you can hit by an enemy buy can't die, as long as you carry a protective ring. So, the ring is like a short shield for Sonic. Getting 100 of these rings will earn you a free extra life!

You can also leap through special stages to get Chaos Emeralds and in these stages, the stages are in 3D! Once you get all of the seven Chaos Emeralds, you will get a different ending and can transform into an unstoppable, super and invincible Super Sonic!

Replayabilty – 7
All games will be boring until you reach the end except for this game. It's fun and you may want to play it all over again! But, don't play too much. Leave it and play other games, then return to this game later.

Overall – 8
It's a fun Sonic game, of course! Buy it now!
