1 Tips, Tricks, and Secrets
============================
1.1 Medabot Building Tips
-------------------------
- when building Medabots, pay attention to the Medal and the Medal's stats.
Always use parts that are the same type as the stats. So if the Medal has
high Berserk, use Berserk parts. If the Medal has a 0 Defense stat, then
don't equip Defense parts.
- Also, pay attention to type affinity. Your parts will work better and last
longer in battle if they are of the same affinity. Parts with the same
affinity as the Medal receive a bonus.
- Experiment with different parts. Don't always use the Medapart set, try
mixing and matching to create unique Medabots.
- Pay attention to the terrain and the enemies. Try to use Leg Medaparts that
work well with the terrain and with your other Medaparts, but you should also
try to stay away from easy weaknesses. If the enemies have weapons that
target certain Medaparts, avoid using that Medapart. For instance, some
enemies, found in water and shore battlefields, use Anti-Sea attacks, so
avoid using Sea Legs if you know those Medabots are in the area.
- On a similar note, if the enemies in the area have Sea Legs or Air Legs, use
Medaparts with Anti-Sea or Anti-Air attacks. Also, if the enemies like to use
Shoot/Aim Shot, use Medaparts that have Shot Trap. The same goes for
Strike/Berserk attacks, just use Grap Trap.
- If you don't want to be affected by statuses, equip a Medapart with the Heal
Stability ability. This will block all statuses (even good status).
- If you don't want to get hit by certain types of attacks, equip Medaparts
that block those attacks. There are Medaparts that block Missile/Napalm
attacks, Beam/Laser attacks, and Press/Break attacks.
- Maximize your Grappling experience by equipping Legs that have extremely high
Propulsion and high Proximity. Both affect Grapple-based attacks, and Legs
with both stats really high (such as most Air-types) can increase the damage
dealt by 10-40 points!
1.2 Medapart Ability Tips
-------------------------
- Some abilities are dual purpose. For instance, the ability Force Bind has two
effects in the Robattle. The first time it is used it will seal ALL
Medaforce, meaning nobody can use Medaforce. The second time it is used it
will UNseal all Medaforce, allowing Medaforces to be used again.
- Some abilities make winning a battle nearly impossible for you or the
opponent, depending on who is using the ability. Full Block is great for you,
but bad if the opponent uses it. If possible, neutralize it with the Can't
Defend ability.
- Another good ability is Counter, but the nature of Counter makes defeating
the Baron somewhat challenging. I've found either weak attacks (although it
is sometimes hard to tell what is weak and what isn't) or Medaforces will win
the Robattle.
- Try to keep a balanced Medabot. While Berserk and Aim Shot tend to be more
powerful than Strike and Shoot, they do have their downside. After a Berserk
or Aim Shot attack your Medabot is unable to evade an attack.
- A great tip is Chain Reaction. If possible use a fast (meaning low CRG/RAD)
Medapart with Chain Reaction, preferably with high Power. If an attack hits
the enemy, and breaks a Medapart, it will continue hitting other Medaparts
for extra damage, if it has Chain Reaction (and you'll know if it does or
not by a small circle with an arrow pointing through it on the stats screen
next to the Power stat).
1.3 Secrets
-----------
- Hidden throughout the game are Medals, Medaparts, and money. Search boxes,
bookshelves, trashcans, crates, and other objects and you may find something.
All hidden parts (that I'm aware of, anyway) are documented in this guide.
- In Ninja Park is a hidden Medafighter Network Girl. She is in the shop, the
building that has the man complaining about rats. Walk to the top-right
corner and press A.
- Press SELECT+START on the Title Screen to access the Test Mode screen. Now
you can listen to all 51 soundtracks and 117 sound effects in the game, and
also erase your game if you want to.
- This really isn't a secret, but... Time stops counting at 99:59
1.4 Misc. Tips
--------------
- If you don't want to fight, ride the Landmotor around. You won't encounter
any random Robattles while on Landmotor. Unfortunately, Landmotor is the only
Medabot vehicle that stops random Robattles.
- To quickly reset the game hold A+B+SELECT and press START.
1.5 Medabot Teams
-----------------
In this section I will suggest several teams of Medabots. I will list what
version each team applies to (although the teams could apply to both if you
trade or cheat). I also give each Medabot a cool unique name. If I list a
second Medapart suggestion (such as Antenna, Broad Antenna) use the first part
in the list if you have it, the second if you don't. I always list the
preferred part(s) first, then give alternatives if I think there is a need.
Feel free to submit your own! Just be sure to include a cool name for each
bot, a team name, and reasons why the team is good. Also include which version
the team is from/works with, and try to include alternate Medals or parts for
version-specific parts if at all possible. You can also suggest improvements
for my teams, or teams others have submitted. Believe it or not, the hardest
part of this is coming up with cool Medabot names...
1.5a Ultimate Muscle

- Author: Autocon
- Version: Both
* Rokusho (Kuwagata) [Male] | Metabee (Kabuto) [Male]
- Antenna, Broad Antenna | - Missile, Reaction Bomb
- Sword, Shin Sword | - Revolver, Revolven
- Pipo Hammer, Bee-Bee Hammer | - Submachinegun, Sumachingun
- Tatacker, Tatakawa | - Ochitsuka, Ochitsukan
He can use Grapple attacks | He can use Shot-based attacks
The secondary parts may be substituted for the default parts for a
defense increase - just be aware that although DEF increases, ATK
decreases and CRG/RAD takes longer
* Insecticon (Knight, Snake, Phoenix, Devil) [Male]
- Feeler, Concealing
- Right Guard, Right-Ing, Right Armor
- Real Krab, Gold Hammer
- Red Tail, Zigzag, Sharpedge/Tatakick, Right-A-Way/Chairly, Fishtail
Insecticon can use Berserk Hammer or Defence. ATK and ROS is increased by
Feeler/Concealing. Real Krab is a powerhouse, and is fast as well, but
lacks defense... Gold Hammer is more balanced, but weaker and much
slower. Choose the legs based on the terrain.
* The Blacksmith (Bear, Chameleon, Rabbit) [Male]
- Psycho Missile OR Search Radar
- Snipe Rifle, Aim Rifle
- Rapier, Megaton Punch, Samurai Saber, Kubikiri, Great Axe
- Anti-Grav
He can use Berserk or Shoot attacks, has Anti-Air for Air-types, and uses
the Anti-Grav legs (Float type) to allow him to work well in all
terrains. Metabee players may want to consider using Search Radar instead
of Psycho Missile - Scout comes in VERY handy.
This team can use both attack and defense techniques. The Berserk techs make
them an easy target, but the high power is usually enough to disable a foe
before it attacks and deals too much damage. With the proper Medals and
Medaforces this team will be able to attack even with the attack parts
destroyed. This team works well on any terrain (as long as you switch the leg
part of Insecticon) and can make short work of Air-type Medabots. Rokusho
players have an advantage in Rokusho's Scout ability, but Metabee players have
the better Medal, Kabuto, IMO.
1.5b All-Stars
""""""""""""""
- Author: Autocon
- Version: Both
* Brawn (Kappa) [Male]
- Victory Armor, Morningcall, Finale
- Beam Saber, Light Axe, Kamakubi OR Revolven, Snipe Rifle, Aim Rifle
- Cheaptrap
- Pipe Organ OR Turkey Leg, Stem Up, Kinta Leg, Chairly, Smacker
Brawn's head provides status protection, and the ability to heal allies
from status ailments. Grap Trap is used to trip up grappling foes. Choose
his right arm based on the opponents - if the foes use Grap Trap, use the
guns, if the foes use Shot Trap, use the swords/axes. Otherwise use
personal preference. I chose Strike/Shoot to allow Brawn to still be able
to evade attacks. As always, use legs that fit the terrain, or stick
with the Pipe Organ (Float) legs for decent usage in all terrains...
* Roll (Penguin, Mermaid) [Female]
- Hat Trick, Field Barrier
- Free Arm, Cherub Hand
- Hand Grenade OR Magnum, Short Shot, C-Left OR Klench
- Clean Box, Singer, Temple Master
Roll has Shot Trap to trip up enemy shooters, Repair to bring back an
ally's broken Medaparts, and Napalm/Rifle/Chain Gun/Anti-Sea to attack,
depending on which arm you choose. Clean Box will be good on any terrain,
but if you don't have it try Singer or Temple Master.
* Siren (Bat, Monkey) [Female]
- Variablehair, Fight Oneshot
- Don't Move, Lightjump, Flap OR Machinegun, Pateri Vulcan
- Silencer
- Cherub Leg, High Leg, Mini-Scout, Luminous
Siren uses Scout to improve ROS for herself and her allies. Additionally,
Forcebind prevents enemies from using potentially devestating Medaforces,
but can be undone by using it again if the team needs a Medaforce. Just
like Brawn, she has two options for her right hand, grapple-based or
shot-based. Choose the legs based on terrain.
This team uses non-special, non-version-specific parts for the most part. I
tried to use as many common parts as possible, but still build a balanced team.
The main strength of this team is the variety. Healing was given first
precedence, then attack and defense. Having both Shot Trap and Grap Trap means
this team is ready for any opponent (except Air-types who are unaffected by
those traps). Scout increases the team's effectiveness as well. Each member can
attack and also aid the party in some way.
1.5c Emperor's Delight
""""""""""""""""""""""
- Author: Autocon
- Version: Both
* Phantoom (Ghost)
- Head Shutter
- Burning Pin, Homing, Carnival, Intermissile
- Disruptor
- Duck Under, Anti-Stand
Phantoom can attack with 100% accuracy due to Burning Pin or the other
right arm choices. He can't be touched by Mega-Emperor's Missile because
of the Head Shutter part. Disruptor lets him Consfuse the opponents. The
high Evasion on the Legs is enough to dodge the Laser and Break attacks.
If you use this team, MAKE PHANTOOM THE LEAD MEDABOT.
Yes, he is named after the Ghost boss in Super Metroid.
* Neriad (Unicorn)
- Appealsound
- Free Arm, Cure Hand
- Sala-Arm
- Sacrifice Fin, Fin, Luminous
Neriad is the healer in the group. She can seal Medaforces, and attack as
well. Sala-Arm packs a punch (sometimes) without the nasty side-effects
of Berserk or Aim Shot. Free Arm brings back broken Medaparts, while Cure
Hand heals damaged Medaparts - choose the one that best fits your style.
The best leg is Sacrifice Fin, but Rokusho players will have to settle
for Fin or Luminous instead.
ROKUSHO OR METABEE THIRD MEDABOT
* Rika (Penguin, Alien)
- Field Barrier, Hat Trick
- Sala-Hand
- Shine Shield
- Fin, Luminous
Rika is capable of using Shot Trap, Defence, and attacking. Shot Trap is
needed to deal damage to Mega-Emperor every time he attacks. Defence is
handy if one of your Medabots is taking a beating - just use it to
protect your buddies. Attacking is great, because it deals damage, and
Sala-Hand gives you the opportunity to use a powerhouse attack
(sometimes) without sacrificing your Evasion. The Legs have high Evade, a
must in this battle.
Rika is named after the character in Phantasy Star IV.
Rokusho players will have to use this 3rd partner, but Metabee players have
a choice - this partner or the next (alternate) partner.
METABEE THIRD MEDABOT ALTERNATIVE (Sorry Rokusho players!)
* Draygon (Kappa)
- Hunter
- Burning Pin, Homing, Carnival, Intermissile
- Great Shield
- Duck Under, Anti-Stand
Draygon uses Hunter to put out Shot Traps to trip up Mega-Emperor. His
right arm has 100% ROS and Chain Reaction, both good things to have in
this fight. Great Shield has enough Armor to withstand a lot of attacks,
and can be used if Mega-Emperor is picking on the healer. The legs
provide a great Evasion boost, enough to dodge most of Mega-Emperor's
attacks.
Yes, this Medabot is also named after a Super Metroid boss...
This Medabot is Metabee only, because of Hunter, a Metabee only part. You
can always transfer this part over and use this team in Rokusho, if you
own two GBAs and both versions, or have a really nice friend...
This is my very own Mega-Emperor challenger team! This is actually the team I
used to defeat Mega-Emperor, and I didn't even lose a Medapart! I used the
Alternate Medabot in my Metabee game, btw. This team rocks! I've never had an
easier time with Mega-Emperor. Enough said.

2 Basics
=========
Basics are just that, basic information about the game that you should be
familiar with. All of the info in this section is also found in my Medabots:
Rokusho/Metabee Walkthrough, and is only provided here as a quick reference so
users of my walkthrough don't have to scroll to the section in the walkthrough
just to see what a particular status/action/ability/vehicle is/does.
2.1 Statuses
------------
As you play Medabots you will undoubtedly be affected by the many statuses.
There are a few main status types, with several different variations:
AutoRecover - the opposite of Flow, recovers damage during CRG/RAD
Variations: AutoRecover
Animation: a pink heart floats in front of the affected Medabot
Bind - slows down CRG/RAD, in other words the Medabot walks 2x slower
Variations: Hold, Wave, Drain Chrg
Animation: an orange hourglass hovers behind the affected
Medabot
Can't Defend - can't defend, can use Half Block/Full Block/Defence, but they
won't cause the Medabot to protect allies
Variations: No Defense
Animation: a blue shield with a red X over it hovers behind the
affected Medabot
Can't Evade - can't evade, or dodge, any attacks
Variations: No Escape
Animation: an icon of a running person with a red X over it
hovers behind the affected Medabot
Chaos - the Medabot will perform a random action, and target a random
Medabot (friend or foe, for all actions)
Variations: Confusion
Animation: three question marks rotate behind the affected
Medabot
Counter - reflects a strong attack, and doesn't receive damage, but still
takes damage from weak attacks
Variations: CntrAttk
Animation: an orange glove overlaps the affected Medabot's arm
Defend - take the damage for an ally, forcing the enemy to attack you
Variations: Defence
Animation: a blue shield overlaps the affected Medabot's arm
Flow - deals damage to your Medabot during CRG/RAD (running to the
center and back to the start during battle)
Variations: Melt, Fire
Animation: a fire is behind the affected Medabot
Full Block - blocks all attacks directed at an ally, and doesn't receive any
damage
Variations: Full Block
Animation: a silver shield overlaps the affected Medabot's arm
Half Block - blocks a weak attack directed at an ally, but still receives
damage from strong attacks
Variations: Half Block
Animation: a light blue shield overlaps the Medabot's arm
Movement - Rate of Success down (miss more often)
Variations: Bug, Virus
Animation: a blue teardrop hovers behind the affected Medabot
Stop - unable to move for a short period of time
Variations: Freeze, Thunder
Animation: the affected Medabot is covered with swirling lines
Time - speeds up CRG/RAD, in other words the Medabot walks 2x faster
Variations: Boost Chrg, Drain Chrg
Animation: a green hourglass hovers in front of the affected
Medabot
Useless - can't use a specific Medapart
Variations: Impair
Animation: an icon with a Medapart highlighted covered by a red
X hovers behind the affected Medabot
2.2 Actions
-----------
Each Medapart has a unique ability, well, maybe not so unique since many
parts have the same ability... Anyway, the abilities fall into 8 main
categories, which are the 8 categories found on the Medals:
- Strike
a quick Grapple attack
- Berserk
a powerful Grapple attack, but you can't evade after using this ability, and
usually has Chain Reaction
- Defend
defensive ability, used to block damage or protect allies
- Heal
used to restore HP (Armor) of Medaparts, bring back broken Medaparts, or
revive dead Medabots
- Shoot
a quick ranged (Shot) attack
- Aim Shot
a powerful ranged (Shot) attack, but you can't evade after using this
ability
- Support
aids allies
- Interrupt
cancels attacks, Medaparts, actions, and/or abilities
or can do Strike, Berserk, Defend, Heal, Shoot, Aim Shot, or Support
abilities/actions through Transform, an ability that changes the Interrupt
part into another Medapart. Any action performed then is Interrupt (for
instance, the part could change into Pipo Hammer, which would then do
Interrupt action Hammer instead of Berserk action Hammer, but it would still
have Chain Reaction)
2.3 Abilities
-------------
Now I'll try to explain the types of attacks/actions that fall within these
categories, and there are many:
Action | Type | Description
------------+-----------+------------------------------------------------------
Accel Chrg | Equip*1 | Causes the Medabot to run faster during CRG/RAD phase
Anti-Air | Shot | The Medabot shoots two long, thin missiles, deals
| | extra damage to Air-types
Anti-Sea | Shot | The Medabot shoots one short torpedo, deals extra
| | damage to Sea-types
Attack Clr | Defend | The (small) Medabot tosses out a ball that turns into
| | a long cylinder trap that cancels any Strike,
| | Berserk, Aim Shot, or Shoot attack the next enemy was
| | supposed to use
AttkChange | Interrupt | The Medabot changes one of its parts (the one with
| | the AttkChange ability) into a random attack (strike,
| | berserk, shoot, or aim shot) part, uses that random
| | part, and changes the random part back into the
| | original part
AutoRecover | Heal | The (small) Medabot tosses out a ball that turns into
| | a heart, hovers behind the target Medabot recovering
| | Armor HP during CRG/RAD
Beam | Shot | The Medabot gathers power, then blasts a blue beam at
| | the enemy, considered an Optic attack
Boost Chrg | Support | The (small) Medabot creates an hourglass, causes the
| | Medabot to run faster during CRG/RAD phase
Break | Shot | The Medabot creates a large spiky object and tosses
| | it up, it falls on the enemy dealing damage,
| | considered a Gravity attack
Break Form | Heal | The (small) Medabot tosses out sticks of dynamite,
| | which destroy any current traps or formations laid
| | down by the opponent
Bug | Grapple | The Medabot rushes forward and stabs at the enemy
| | with a mosaic block effect, inflicts Movement status
| | which lowers ROS/Evade
CancelBomb | Equip*2 | Causes Bomb attacks against the Medabot to deal no
| | damage
CancelGrav | Equip*2 | Causes Gravity attacks used against the Medabot to
| | deal no damage
CancelOptic | Equip*2 | Causes Optic attacks against the Medabot to deal no
| | damage
Chain Gun | Shot | The Medabot shoots four small bullets at the enemy
Change | Interrupt | The Medabot changes one of its parts (the one with
| | the Change ability) into a random part, uses that
| | random part, and changes the random part back into
| | the original part
CntrAttk | Defend | The (small) Medabot tosses out a ball, it turns into
| | a punching glove, and the targeted Medabot gets a
| | glove floating in front of them, and will reflect
| | (bounce back and not take damage from) a powerful
| | attack, but weak attacks still hurt
Conceal | Support | The (small) Medabot is momentarily covered by a dome,
| | increases Evade
Confusion | Interrupt | The (small) Medabot tosses out a ball, which creates
| | a sonic soundwave around the affected Medabot,
| | causing small questionmarks to float over the
| | affected Medabot's head, which makes the Medabot
| | confused
DEF Change | Interrupt | The Medabot changes one of its parts (the one with
| | the DEF Change ability) into a random Defense part,
| | uses that random part, and changes the random part
| | back into the original part

| | blue shield floats in front of them, and they will
| | protect other Medabots that are targeted, but still
| | take damage
Destroy | Grapple | The Medabot attacks an opponent and deals Chain
| | Damage, only affects Medabots facing away
Drain Chrg | Interrupt | The (small) Medabot tosses out an hourglass that
| | causes the affected Medabot to be afflicted by the
| | Bind status, slowing down CRG/RAD, while at the same
| | time the first Medabot becomes afflicted by the Time
| | status, speeding up CRG/RAD
Fire | Grapple | The Medabot runs forward and stabs the enemy, hitting
| | them with fire and causing the Flow status, which
| | deals damage during CRG/RAD
Force Bind | Interrupt | The (small) Medabot creates music notes that swirl
| | outward, seals/unseals ALL Medaforces
Forcedrain | Interrupt | The (small) Medabot tosses out a glass that drains an
| | opponent's Medaforce, then returns to the first
| | Medabot and gives that Medabot the drained Medaforce
Freeze | Grapple | The Medabot runs and jumps, smacking the enemy and
| | hitting them with a large ice crystal, inflicts Stop
| | status
Full Block | Defend | The (small) Medabot tosses out a silver shield, then
| | a silver shield floats in front of them, and they
| | will protect other Medabots that are targeted, and
| | take no damage while protecting, but take damage if
| | they are targeted
Grap Trap | Defend | The (small) Medabot tosses out a ball that turns into
| | a long cylinder with spikes on it, hurts Medabots
| | using Strike or Berserk actions
Half Block | Defend | The (small) Medabot tosses out a light blue shield,
| | then a light blue shield floats in front of them, and
| | they will protect other Medabots that are targeted,
| | and take no damage from weak attacks, but still take
| | damage from strong attacks
Hammer | Grapple | The Medabot runs and jumps, smacking the enemy
HealChange | Heal | The Medabot changes one of its parts (the one with
| | the HealChange ability) into a random healing part,
| | uses that random part, and changes the random part
| | back into the original part
Hold | Grapple | The Medabot runs and jumps, smacking the enemy and
| | putting a web on them, inflicts Bind status which
| | slows down CRG/RAD
Impair | Interrupt | The (small) Medabot tosses out a portrait of a
| | Medabot, with one part highlighted, and an X covers
| | the portrait, causing the Medabot to not be able to
| | use that Medapart
ItrpChange | Interrupt | The Medabot changes one of its parts (the one with
| | the ItrpChange ability) into a random Interrupt part,

Rapid Chrg | Support | The (small) Medabot creates an hourglass, causes self
| | or an ally to immediately run to the center or side
| | of the battlefield
Reactivate | Heal | The (small) Medabot creates small angel and pushes it

Recovery | Heal | The Medabot creates a star and pushes it into the
| | targeted Medabot, healing Armor of hurt Medaparts
Repair | Heal | The Medabot creates a star and pushes it into the
| | targeted Medabot, bringing back destroyed Medaparts
Rifle | Shot | The Medabot shoots one large bullet at an enemy
Sacrifice | Shot | The Medabot raises its arms, creates a ghost and
| | pushes it into the enemy, destroys own Medapart
Scout | Support | The (small) Medabot uses a green beam, increases
| | Power and ROS for self/allies
Shot Trap | Defend | The (small) Medabot tosses out a ball that turns into
| | a long strip with axe-heads in it, hurts Medabots
| | using Shoot or Aim Shot actions
Stability | Equip*3 | Protects the Medabot from status changes (good/bad)
| | by being equipped, when used in battle the (small)
| | Medabot tosses out a glass that purifies (removes
| | statuses from) an ally
Strengthen | Equip*4 | Increases Power and ROS of all attacks when equipped
Sword | Grapple | The Medabot runs forward and stabs the enemy
Team Form | Defend | The (small) Medabot tosses out a ball that turns into
| | 3 gun turrets, enters into Team Form
TeamAttack | Defend | The Medabot creates 4 small colored balls, tosses
| | them up, they fall onto 4 gun turrets pointed at the
| | enemy, but needs Team Form to work
Thunder | Grapple | The Medabot runs forward and strikes the enemy with a
| | lightning type attack that causes yellow swirly lines
| | to appear on the target Medabot, causing the Stop
| | status
Use Drain | Interrupt | The (small) Medabot tosses out a large bubble that
| | drains the amount of uses of an opponent's head
| | Medapart and gives those uses to the originating
| | Medabot
Virus | Grapple | The Medabot runs and jumps, smacking the enemy and
| | splashing them with purple liquid, inflicts Movement
| | status which lowers ROS/Evade
Wave | Grapple | The Medabot runs forward and splashes the enemy,
| | inflicts Bind status which slows down CRG/RAD
A quick note - Grapple actions are Strike and Berserk, and Shot actions are
Shoot and Aim Shot.
Equip*1 = Support, works simply by equipping
Equip*2 = Interrupt, works simply by equipping
Equip*3 = Heal, works simply by equipping, but also has a second use when
used as a weapon in battle
Equip*4 = Defend, works simply by equipping
2.4 Vehicles
------------
As you progress throughout the game you will get 4 vehicles. Three of the
vehicles require specific Medabots to use, and one requires you to pass a
certain point in the game before you can use it. You should notice the Vehicle
option when you open the menu (the menu with Medawatch, Item, Vehicle, and
Save). To use a vehicle, just go to the Vehicle menu, select the Vehicle you
want to use, and press A. If the icon is grayed out (not displayed in color)
then you can't use that vehicle. There are a few reasons why that could be:
- The area you are at doesn't allow vehicles.
- You are already on a different vehicle, just get off it first by selecting
it again.
- You don't have the complete Medabot built, just go build it
If at any time you lose the parts for you vehicles, you can go to the Medabot
Research Lab and buy the parts. They cost quite a bit of money, so try not to
lose them. Oh, the Lab is the building you start the game in, the one with Dr.
Aki and his granddaughter Nae. The scientists who sell the parts are the three
at the long control panel in the room right before Dr. Aki's. They only sell
the parts after you get the initial vehicle, though.
The four vehicles are as follows:
Mini S. Wheel - Landmotor Medabot, a car, use almost anywhere to drive around
Notes: no random Robattles while on Landmotor
Silver Locket - Necklace locket/rocket, allows you to travel back in time
Notes: must beat the game to use this item
Wings of Wind - Femjet Medabot, a jet, use to fly to most places on the map
Notes: a quick take off/drop off vehicle, can't use to just
cruise around the world at high altitudes... oh well
Periscope - Aquamar Medabot, a submarine, lets you swim if there is water
Notes: you can swim anywhere there is water, even inside
buildings that contain water

3 Boss Strategies

3.1 Erika
---------
(first time)
Erika's Medabot: Brass
Medal: ?
Vital Statistics: Part | HP | Ability
Variablehair | 45 | Scout (Support)
Pateri Vulcan | 25 | Chain Gun (Shoot)
Short Shot | 25 | Rifle (Aim Shot)
Flaregather | 45 | (none)
---+- ---+- ---+- ---+- ---+- ---+- Rokusho -+--- -+--- -+--- -+--- -+--- -+---
Start the Robattle by using Scout, then follow up with Hammer. Brass should
lose in no time. If you lose your Left Arm, use Sword instead. This battle is
very easy. I recommend Scout so you hit harder and don't miss, and Hammer
because of the Chain Reaction. Remember this strategy.
---+- ---+- ---+- ---+- ---+- ---+- -+End+- -+--- -+--- -+--- -+--- -+--- -+---
==+== ==+== ==+== ==+== ==+== ==+== Metabee ==+== ==+== ==+== ==+== ==+== ==+==
Start the Robattle by using Missile, and continue until you run out of uses.
When that happens, use Chain Gun instead. If you lose that arm, or you miss,
use Rifle. This battle is very easy. I recommend Missile because of the high
Power, 100% ROS, and the Chain Reaction. Chain Gun has high Power, but low ROS,
so it does miss a lot. Rifle has lower Power, but much higher ROS. Remember
this strategy.

Start the Robattle by using Scout, then follow up with Hammer/Missile or
whatever else you have. Chain Gun works well too. Warbandit/Sumilodon attack
parts (especially the Left Arm) are great in this battle. The Great Axe
(Kintaro Left Arm) is also good. Use your Medaforce if your gauge fills up.
Pretty Prime has two bad actions (bad for you, anyway) - Freeze, which is
similar to Thunder, and CntrAttk. If she uses CntrAttk switch to either
Medaforce (charge or use) or Shoot/Aim Shot attacks and make sure the
crosshairs target is on Brass. If you hit Pretty Prime while CntrAttk is in
effect she will take NO damage and reflect the same exact move back onto you,
with the same Power as your attack, and Chain Reaction if it was an attack with
Chain Reaction. In other words, Rokusho's Hammer could kill himself due to
CntrAttk, so be careful. The tactics for both versions are the same.

3.2 Sloan

you get them weak (under 20 HP) switch to Missile until you run out. Then go
back to Chain Gun, or use Rifle if you don't have your Submachinegun arm
anymore. Chain Gun is great for this battle because Totalizer is slow and has
really low Evade.

random enemy in this area) and at least one Medabot with Anti-Sea. Use Anti-Sea

you need higher ROS (if you miss). This battle is very easy, much easier than

low HP so any Chain Reaction attack should take care of him quickly. Cyandog

weak as before, and Cyandog hasn't changed either. This Robattle shouldn't take
long to end.
3.4 Samantha

Peppercat still has the Thunder move, which can paralyze your Medabots.
Equipping the Victory Armor head part will help. Redlace has higher armor
ratings than Peppercat, and a deadly Shot Trap (deadly for Metabee, anyway).
Metabee players should use Metabee's Medaforce, since it isn't affected by Shot
Trap. Rokusho players should stay away from shooting type Medaparts.

your Medaforce (if your gauge is full). Also, as soon as your Medaforce gauge
is full (80 points) use your Medaforce, even if you still have Missiles left. I

Other than the addition of two worthless Medabots, this guy is the same as
before.
3.7 Rubberobo B

Head Shutter | 70 | CancelBomb (Interrupt)
Hand Shutter | 65 | CancelBomb (Interrupt)
Arm Shutter | 65 | CancelBomb (Interrupt)
Blow Up | 75 | (none)
This guy is also easy... Just use Chain Gun/Missile or Scout/Hammer, as
usual. Magdosnake is the only one that attacks, but his attacks cause Movement
status, which lowers ROS/Evade. Equipping a Medabot with the Victory Armor head
(if you have it) will protect you, although you will still take damage. Also,
make sure you DON'T target Gorem with ANY Bomb type attacks, such as Missile or
Napalm. At this point you should only have 1 Bomb attack, Missile, and only if
you are playing Metabee. Other than that, the strategy is the same for both
games.

This guy is still easy... He only has one extra Medabot. Just target
Magdosnake and forget about the other two. By the time you get to this point
you've had so much experience with Rubberobo's that this isn't even a boss
battle.
3.8 Rubberobo C

Strategy is simple, just use Anti-Sea in this battle. It helps if you
equipped Sea legs and an Accel Chrg Medapart such as Go-Up or Rise-Up. Also,
protect yourself from the Bug status by equipping the Victory Armor head. This
is a very easy battle. Just don't attack Haniwa with Beam or Laser attacks.

As long as you remembered to change your leg types back to Multi-Legged you
will win with no problems. Just hit fast and hard, trying to target Neutranurse
and trying to ignore Sailormate. Anything will work here, but as always
something with high Power, low CRG/RAD, and Chain Reaction attributes will be
best. Also, Medaforces could help, although I usually end this battle before my
gauge fills up... Oh, try to win Neutranurse parts, since Sailormate becomes a
common enemy later on (very soon, actually).

as before.

Squidguts is mean, and he means business. Watch out for Sacrifice, it can do
massive damage in a short amount of time. Thankfully, Sacrifice destroys the
arm of Aviking... But that means each Aviking can use Sacrifice 2 times, for a
total of 4 times... That is 4 times too many, in my opinion. If you have fast
Medabots with Anti-Sea, now is the time to use them. Just blast away with all
the Anti-Sea attacks you have until you win.

Equipping a CancelBomb part on your leader (or all 3 Medabots) will help.
Giggly Jelly only has one move, Missile. Dashbutton and Giggly Jelly both have
a ton of HP, so this may take a while. Shoot or Aim Shot attacks are best in
this Robattle. If/when Dashbutton uses Full Block just use any type of shooting
attack, and make sure the crosshairs target him, not Giggly Jelly. Dashbutton
actually makes this fight easier on you by using Defence, forcing you to attack
him. How convenient.

is highly unlikely.

chooses to attack. If Redmatador uses Full Block the only thing you can do is
use Medaforces or Shoot/Aim Shot attacks targeting the Medabot using Full
Block. Rokusho players can use Face Lantern's parts to prevent Red Matador from
effectively using Defend parts...

The best strategy is to equip a Gorem part to block the Napalm, and use Shot

Metabee players. Thankfully these Medabots are really slow, especially once you
remove the legs.

Wigwamo's attacks deal Flow damage, and are all Grapple based, so Grap Trap is
great as well. Using the Phoenix Medal's second Medaforce (Rokusho players) is
also a good idea.

Broad Antenna | 65 | Scout (Support)
Shin-Sword | 30 | Sword (Strike)
Bee-Bee Hammer | 30 | Hammer (Berserk)
Tatakawa | 50 | (none)
Can you say "Cool Medabots" and "tough battle" at the same time? That's what
this Robattle is. Grap Trap will help with Zorin, causing it damage each time
it attacks. Gorem parts can protect you from Bayonet's Missiles, which it
seldom uses. Shot Trap (for Metabee players) can help with Bayonet, causing it
damage anytime it attacks. Scout if you need it, and use high-powered attacks,
preferably with Chain Reaction. Medaforces will help greatly in this battle.
Oh, try to win the parts opposite to your version (i.e. Bayonet parts for
Rokusho players, and Zorin parts for Metabee players). I know this sounds
stupid, and you'd rather get the parts that would improve your first Medabot
(Rokusho/Metabee), but you really need to get the opposite parts. See "Partsun
Rally" and check the prize for the exact reason why...

Reaction Bomb | 45 | Missile (Shoot)
Revolven | 40 | Rifle (Shoot)
Sumachingun | 40 | Chain Gun (Aim Shot)
Ochitsukan | 50 | (none)
This time around he's using the opposite team, with his grappler in the lead
and two shooters for backup. Use Grap Trap for an easy win. Other than that,
just hit fast, hard, and often. This shouldn't be too difficult, considering
how far into the game you are and how many great parts you already have
collected... Metabee players have an easier time with this battle, since
Metabee naturally targets grapplers (such as Zorin). Once again, try to win the
opposite parts (Metabee players try to win Zorin parts, Rokusho players try to
win Bayonet parts).
(third time and most times after)

He's not as hard as he looks, really! Use Shot Trap, Full Block, CntrAttk,
Medaforces, and any extremely powerful attacks and you will almost always win.
The strategy is simple - ignore Bayonet and Zorin and hit Robo-Emperor. Shot
Trap has the added bonus of hurting Bayonet. Heal parts (parts that restore
Armor, revive dead Medabots, and repair broken parts) come in very handy as
well.

This battle is somewhat tough. You should start off with Anti-Sea aimed at
Flig Flag and Anti-Air aimed at the Crimson Kings. If your Anti-Sea parts
survive the first round continue using them until the Robattle ends. Otherwise
try Missile attacks. Destroy only affects Medabots facing away from Crimson
King, and it works similar to Sacrifice, but the Crimson Kings get to keep
their arms.

Use Victory Armor (or by now you could use Morning Call or Finale) to prevent
the Thunder status from paralyzing, and use Anti-Sea to attack Wolfeel. Majoram
only knows one move - Pushover. Pushover will deal 1 damage if it hits a
Medabot facing away, if it hits one facing towards Sunwitch it will deal more
damage AND erase any orders. This isn't really a hard battle, just a long one.

Gentleheart's Hammer move is not new. You've seen enough hammers by now. The
new twist is the Attack Clr (a trap). This new trap is pure evil. It will erase
any attack order (Shot, Aim-Shot, Strike, Berserk) when a Medabot reaches the
center (one time only, unless it is reinforced, then one time per trap or
reinforcement). A good strategy is to just use Medaforces, then you will most
likely dodge the Hammers and not be affected by Attack Clr.

Set up your lead Medabot with at least one Haniwa part to block the Laser
attack. If you do that you CANNOT be hurt (except by Medaforce)! I suggest
using Rokusho and Metabee as partners in this battle rather than the leader...
Anyway, just aim for Stingray, unless Armorparadeen is defending. If the
partner(s) is(are) defending, use the Can't Defend ability (Rokusho only) that
you got in Milky's Castle, or aim only for the defending Medabot(s). If you
have Shot Trap use it, because Stingray's only attack is Laser, a Shoot or Aim
Shot ability.

Talk about hard! If you attack at all you will get your attack shoved right
back in your face! Weak attacks won't be reflected, but determining what is and
what isn't a weak attack is very tricky... The easiest way to defeat the Baron
is to just use Medaforces. Be sure you use Medaforces that attack. Damage Ball
isn't a good one, unless you've taken damage...

Circulis isn't anything to worry about - her Drain Chrg only slows you down
while making her faster, but doesn't deal any damage. Attack fast and hit hard,
and target Circulis as much as possible, and this battle shouldn't last more
than about 10 seconds.

Watch out for Stonemirror, the head has an attack Power rating of 98 with Chain
Reaction, which is the strongest attack I've found (so far). Hit fast and hard,
and be sure you hit Stonemirror. If you use Berserk attacks of your own (such
as the Great Hammer and/or Real Krab) you *should* be able to take down
Stonemirror as soon as the Robattle starts... Woe to you if you don't though!
Although... Destroy only works on Medabots in the RAD phase... so you *might*
escape unharmed...

Use a Stability part (such as Victory Armor) to guard against the status

chances of evading.

This is one cool Medabot, but unfortunately, you only get to Robattle Dr. Aki
once per game... Like Nae's Medabots, Cosmo-Alien is an Elemental Medabot,
meaning it changes its parts into other parts. This means Shot Trap, Grap Trap,
etc. won't work on this Medabot. Unlike the other Elemental series, which can
only turn their parts into a specific class of parts, Cosmo-Alien can turn its
parts into ANY parts. That means Attack, Defend, Heal, Support, or Interrupt
parts. Hit fast and hard with all you've got. There is no real strategy to
winning, since these Medabots use every move in the game... Your best bet is to
use Aim Shot and Shoot attacks targeting the leader, but be sure to use attacks
with a high success rating... Medaforces are great, too.
3.29 Hanzo, Sasuke, Goemon
--------------------------
Hanzo's Medabot: Spitfire

Drago Crystal | 40 | Recovery (Heal)
Curewater | 35 | Team Form (Defend)
Repair Spring | 35 | TeamAttack (Defend)
Dragonbed | 85 | (none)
Watch out for Team Form and TeamAttack. Team Form sets up for a team-based
attack, and TeamAttack unleashes the team-based attack. This attack does
massive damage. On a brighter note, it takes two turns to pull off, since he
has to use Team Form before Team Attack will work... Octoclam should be no
problem. The only other thing to note is you only get 4 chances to battle this
team - you only have four shots at getting Spitfire parts, so make them count!
Other than the Team moves this battle is just like other battles, very simple
if you strike fast and hard.
All three of the Ninja Brothers use similar teams, so I've grouped them here.
Use this strategy for all three of them, but beware, the middle Medabot changes
for each Brother. See below for details.

This battle is tough if you don't know what to do. Start by equipping a
Stability part before even entering the Robattle. Stability parts include
Victoy Armor, Morningcall, and Finale (there are others, but these are the ones
you should have by this time). If you equip all three of your Medabots with
Stability parts, Utopian won't be able to touch you. If you don't, then you'll
have a long, tough Robattle. Your opponent will be yourself, because of the
Confusion attack, which causes the Chaos status... Anti-Air attacks are great
in this Robattle.

Peck Strike | 50 | Destroy (Berserk)
Dondon Punch | 45 | Destroy (Berserk)
Dopa Punch | 45 | Destroy (Berserk)
Wannafly | 45 | (none)
You've seen Crimson King before, when Dark Master used him. Now you've got an
annoying bug as a leader, messing with your party's accuracy... Here's the
strategy: attack Propolis and ignore Crimson King. Use Anti-Air. Have a
Stability part equipped to negate the Bug attacks. Grap Trap is out of the
question, since these flying enemies will just fly right over the trap...
3.32 Mega-Emperor

Mega-Emperor's Medabot: Mega-Emperor

Mega-Emperor's Medabot: Mega-Emperor
Medal: Bear
Vital Statistics: Part | HP | Ability
Deathbreak | 70 | Break (Aim Shot)
Deathmissile | 60 | Missile (Aim Shot)
Deathlaser | 60 | Laser (Aim Shot)
Deathcrawler | 70 | (none)
This is cruel and unusual punishment! Not only are there 3 Mega-Emperors, and
two are using rare Medals, but they start with full Medaforce gauges! The best
I can suggest is to bring along a Draken part (with the Force Bind ability) to
prevent Mega-Emperor from using his Medaforce. Rokusho/Metabee should NOT be
your lead Medabot in this battle. Your lead Medabot should be equipped with one
Gorem part and one Moai part, and the highest evasion legs you can find. The
other part should be a Strike or Shoot part. I highly recommend bringing at
least one healer, preferably the same Medabot that seals the Medaforce. Rokusho
or Metabee should be left out of this Robattle - they will die quick in this
fight, and you are better off with a different Medabot, anyway. A Defence part
with high Armor may be a good idea, to protect your party. Shot Trap is a very
good idea.
3.33 Babyblu
------------
Babyblu's Medabot: Babyblu
Medal: Unicorn
Vital Statistics: Part | HP | Ability
Fracture | 60 | Force Bind (Interrupt)
Past Touch | 70 | Confusion (Interrupt)

Babyblu's Medabot: Armorparadeen
Medal: Ninja
Vital Statistics: Part | HP | Ability
Clear Armor | 100 | Defence (Defend)
Right Armor | 95 | Defence (Defend)
Left Armor | 95 | Defence (Defend)
Rocking Horse | 65 | (none)
Talk about tough! This is even harder than the Mega-Emperor Robattles!
Babyblu will usually start off by sealing Medaforces. He can also Confuse you
or speed himself up. Stability parts are a MUST in this battle. Shot Trap is
good for taking out Mega-Emperor, and No Defense parts (such as Face Lantern's
parts or the Maitake Left arm Medapart from Cordy) are great for dealing with
Armorparadeen. Bring along a healer who also has Force Bind, just in case you
need it.
3.34 Shiratama
--------------
Shiratama's Medabot: Mega-Emperor
Medal: Bear
Vital Statistics: Part | HP | Ability
Deathbreak | 70 | Break (Aim Shot)
Deathmissile | 60 | Missile (Aim Shot)
Deathlaser | 60 | Laser (Aim Shot)
Deathcrawler | 70 | (none)
Shiratama's Medabot: Wonder Angel
Medal: Angel
Vital Statistics: Part | HP | Ability
Cherub Body | 30 | Forcedrain (Interrupt)
Cherub Hand | 25 | Recovery (Heal)
Cherub Arm | 25 | Repair (Heal)
Cherub Leg | 30 | (none)
Shiratama's Medabot: Belzelga
Medal: Devil
Vital Statistics: Part | HP | Ability
Helmet | 35 | Repair (Heal)
Helmight | 15 | Sacrifice (Aim Shot)
Helming | 15 | Sacrifice (Aim Shot)
Helcaos | 55 | (none)
Talk about tough! This can be even harder than the Mega-Emperor Robattles or
Babyblu! I highly recommend using Shot Trap, since most of the attacks are Aim
Shot. Starting off with Force Bind might be a great idea, too, since all three
Medabots start off with full Medaforces. Hit fast and hard and concentrate
first on Wonder Angel, then Belzelga, then Mega-Emperor. The Shot Trap should
be dealing damage to both Belzelga and Mega-Emperor while you take out Wonder
Angel. Anti-Air is great for the task.

4 Medal Quests
===============
There are two Medals that require specific actions throughout the game. You
can only get one of the two Medals per time through the game. You'll either
have to get the other version, or start over, to get the other Medal. Just
remember, if you start over you erase everything, including the Medals you
currently have...
4.1 Cat Medal Quest
-------------------
The Cat Medal is the Medal Erika will give you if you complete the Cat Medal
Quest. To complete the quest you must talk to Koji, Erika, and do a few things
at certain times. Everything you need to know is listed here.
4.1a Mt. Odoro Pond
"""""""""""""""""""
The first thing you'll need to do is talk to someone in Mt. Odoro Pond. After
you enter Mt. Odoro for the first time and Robattle Erika, head up, then right,
then down. You'll see Koji and Karin standing below the pond. Just talk to
Koji, but DO NOT TALK TO Karin. This is very important! If you talk to Koji and
Karin, you will get NOTHING in the end.
4.1b Medabot Island
"""""""""""""""""""
After completing the first half of the Medabot Tournament, leave the
building. A Rubberobo will steal a girl's Medal. Chase the Rubberobo with
Koji's help. After getting the Medal back, return it to the girl. Erika will
see you and get mad, then stalk off. Go to the far right side of the Island,
where there are two buildings. Enter the bottom building, the Arcade. Talk to
Erika and she will tell you to play the Select Corps. game. Talk to the boy and
he will leave, then play the game. Win the game and Erika will be at peace with
you again.
Also, after completing the Witch's Castle, you will be given the S. Animal
Rappy. Give this to Erika when she asks for it.
4.1c Medaropolis
""""""""""""""""
When you enter Medaropolis for the first time you need to run around town
meeting people. Visit Rosewood Private School if you like, and Medabots
Corporation. After getting the Medabot vehicle Landmotor head to Medamall. In
the mall head upstairs, then search the left side of the second rack on the
left. You will find a gift (Telephoto Lens, $20) to give to Erika. Take it to
the counter nearby to buy it, then take it downstairs to the counter by the
right door and the woman there will wrap it and send it to Erika.
Do NOT buy the Karin photo in the school if you are doing this quest.
4.1d School Problems
""""""""""""""""""""
After the Rubberobo take over Rosewood Private School you must free the
school by defeating the leader. On your way you'll Robattle several Rubberobo,
and even some Select Corps. goons. At one point you will talk to Koji and he
will give you a choice of keys, one in each hand. Choose the left hand to get
the key to Class A. Enter the left-hand locked classroom (Class A) and Robattle
the Rubberobos pestering Erika. Then Robattle Squidguts.
Stop by Erika's house soon afterwards for her comments on the new camera
accessory.
4.1e Kidnapped
""""""""""""""
This really has nothing to do with the actual Medal Quest, but is related, so
I talk about it here anyway. Dr. Armond will kidnap either Erika or Karin at
one point in the game, and hold them hostage on the Fuyin Fortress. If you have
completed the Cat Medal Quest so far he will kidnap Erika. If you have
completed neither so far he will kidnap both girls.
4.1f Cat Medal
""""""""""""""
After completing the Partsun Rally (after the game "ends"), which means after
collecting all 12 Medaparts and winning the Robattle, return to Ikki's house.
If you've completed the Cat Medal Quest up to this point Erika will be in
Ikki's bedroom. Talk to her, then meet her at the docks. She will give you a
Cat Medal. Congratulations, you have completed the Cat Medal Quest.
4.2 ? Medal Quest

Karin twice, then talk to Koji once. If you don't do this in the right order
you'll get NOTHING in the end.
4.2b Medabot Island

where there are two buildings. Head to the top one, the Haunted House, and talk
to Karin. Agree to take her through the Haunted House. Defeat all the Ghost
Medabots in the building as you make your way through. You will go through
several rooms, Robattling the Ghost Medabot a lot. After you finally complete
the Haunted House Karin's dad will take her away. Head down to the Arcade and
talk to Erika. Koji has already talked to her and explained everything, so she
isn't mad anymore.
After completing the Witch's Castle Ikki will be given the S. Animal Rappy.
When Erika asks for it, say no. On the return trip home Karin will comment on
the cute Rappy doll. Give her the S. Animal Rappy at this time.

5 Medabots
===========
The first part of this section, the Master List, contains all the Medaparts
found in the game, classified by Medabot. Detailed stats for individual parts
can be found in the corresponding Leg-type list below the Master List. For
instance, if you wanted detailed stats for the Sonic Missile part, you would
find the Sonic Missile in the Master List, look up the Medabot's name and
Leg-type, then go to the Leg-type list that matched (Air in this case) and find
the Medabot's name (Noctobat). Sonic Missile is Noctobat's Left Arm, so look at
the Left Arm entry for Noctobat.
To simplify things for myself, I have abbreviated Rate of Success to ROS, and
the symbol for Chain Reaction is -O>. Amount of Uses has also been shortened to
just Uses.
Here's a quick rundown:
## - (name)
(typical Medal)
(sex of Medapart)
Type: (Which Medal stat controls this part)
Affinity: (If this matches the Medal's affinity this stat gets a bonus)
Ability: (The actual attack or other ability of this part)
Control: (Is this part controlled by the Remoteness or Proximity Leg stat)
Armor: (The armor rating, aka the health or HP of this part)
ROS: (The Rate of Success, how often the attack succeeds)
Power: (The power or attack rating, how much damage is dealt)
Uses: (How many times the part can be used)
Charge: (How long it takes this part to become ready, or reach the center)
Radiation: (How long it takes this part to cool down, or return to the start)
Propulsion: (How high the Medabot can jump - affects moves such as Hammer)
Evasion: (How much evasion the Medabot has, how often the Medabot can dodge)
Defense: (How much defense the part has, cuts down on damage dealt)
Proximity: (How close this part gets before attacking)
Remoteness: (How far this part stays away from the foe when attacking)
Just remember that bigger numbers are better, for everything EXCEPT Charge
and Radiation - for those two smaller numbers are best.
5.1 Master List
---------------
The Master List is broken down by Page and also by Leg type. A single dashed
line (----) indicates a page break, and a double dashed line (====) indicates a
Leg type section break.
