   \\Useful Notes
This walkthrough was written using the Normal Mode of the game for the most
part. Know, therefore, that items you may find in shops or mystery data may be
different between modes from what is listed here though we plan to have a
Mystery Data segment for each mode depicting exactly what can be found where.

Throughout the walkthrough, Malinhion covered the Blue Moon exclusive scenarios
and Magenta Galaxy covered the Red Sun exclusive scenarios and the rest was
split between the two.

The walkthrough should be able to get everybody through the game without
problems, regardless of your knowledge of Japanese, however in order to prevent
blatant repition throughout the walkthrough we often use place names or people
names without description and it is thus advised that if you can't read kana
you try and remember important names and phrases as we come across them.

The year is 200X.
Internet technology is on the rise. It is a time of peace.
Network civilisation has become commonplace.
And as the networks continue to grow...
The days tick by as research into ways to improve that society continue...

--ANSA HQ--

The ANSA scientists continue talking for a while, explaining that they are
members of the Ameroupe (Netopia) National Space Association, or ANSA.
They're doing research into space and it's wonders using internet technology.
Yes, I know too, it's obvious something is gonna go wrong but calm your urges
because it doesn't happen yet. <_<

The scientists continue rambling about how well things are going like blind
little sheep for a while, and also start talking about Romans, or something.
Yeaaaaah. The purple-haired woman wanders over to them and starts mumbling
(Fu fu fu, I hear her say!) and stuff. They also start mentioning "Atma", a
project of theirs, I would presume. Well, it seems that what's happened is
there's a giant meteor heading towards earth. ANSA, being teh awesome goodies
of awesomeness, must get rid of it somehow.

Then, something happens on the moniters, and I have no clue what, oh hoorah.
But it's bad, because the trouble music plays, oh noes. They start running
around like idiots trying to fix it and then... we cut to the sounds of snoring
at Chez Hikari.

--Netto's House--

Netto-kun, Asadayo! At this point you take control of a just woken-up Hikari
Netto, and your first task in this valiant game is to go pick up your PET. Walk
up to desk, press A. Simple. After that, head downstairs and talk to Haruka
(mom) and Yuuichiro (dad), then go plug into the oven, for it is infested with
viruses!

///Tutorial Battle 01
   \\\2x Mettool
Here you're introduced to the battle system. Very basic. You can load up 5
chips per turn, either of the same chip OR code (not both), you have HP that if
you lose it all you die, yadda yadda, B fires your buster, L lets you run from
battle if you're scared, R gives you descriptions of chips, yeah. The only
thing of note is the Heart Window which shows Rockman's status. Just load up
both Cannon As and blast the hell out of the Mets. Try and "Counter Hit" them
by killing them as they attack - which brings you into Full Synchro mode, more
on that later, though.

///Tutorial Battle 02
   \\\3x Mettool
Nothing new, really. It just teaches you the concept of loading up multiple
chips of the same code (In this case AreaSteal and WideSword) and about using
support chips to your advantage. For those who haven't played EXE2/3, it also
explains that *-coded chips are jokers that count for anything. Anyways, just
AreaSteal, WideSword off the two Mets, then just reopen the Custom Window and
do it again. Simple.

///Tutorial Battle 03
   \\\3x Mettool
Here, Full Synchro is explained. Basically, you Counter Hit an enemy by hitting
them just before they attack, which sets you in Full Synchro. The next chip or
PA you use with a damage count (Cannon, Vulcan etc, but not something like
Muramasa or Anubis) does DOUBLE damage. After modifiers, that is, so using an
Attack+10 essentially makes it +20. Nice. Abuse it to defeat these Mets. ^_^

And so, you have saved the Program from an evil fate. Relax, knowing you have
done a good deed. However, it is injured and needs a program to get better, the
Recovery Batch. Gaspzorz! You automatically plug out, but you should plug
straight back in again and grab the BMD containing 500z in the right-hand
corner. Feel free to run around in there and get used to the battle system.

When you're done, plug out and talk to Yuuichiro, who asks you to go and get
the Recover Batch. He gives you 500Z to go and buy it, and apparently the
merchant is in Akihara Area 3. Run upstairs and jack in, transmit... Or plug in
, whatever takes your fancy.

--Akihara Area--

Run through and pick up anything you can find. There's a few GMDs around, and
a BMD too. A BMD in a dead end in the bottom of the area (reached by taking
the bottom-right fork at the first crossroads) contains a Mini Energy subchip.
Another thing you may notice in your travels is that in some battles, a large
GMD may appear in the middle of the enemy area. IF you can win the battle
without that GMD being hit AT ALL, then you get to claim it's contents. In
Akihara, that basically means either 2000Z or a Double Crack chip. When you're
done, following the blue path to the end will lead you to Akihara Area 2.

Taking the first fork here to the right leads to a currently closed shop and a
pair of GMDs. Taking the blue path again leads you to a small square area. The
blue path to the top-right is guarded, so take the small path to the left of it
and explore. A Purple (Locked) Mystery Data is at the top of the U-bend there,
but you won't be able to open it yet (I think.) Keep it in mind, before going
back down and following the larger blue path to the left off to Akihara Area 3.

Taking the white path to your left after entering Area 3 will lead you to a
Copy Damage * in a BMD, so taking that path is advised. The navi by the door
at the end of this path will sell you Recovery Batch, but don't plug out just
yet. Take the blue path to the right. A blocked path at the crossroads is of
no matter right now, however take the blue path to the bottom-right and pick up
the GMD before plugging out.

At this point you may wanna do some circuits of the areas to pick up some cash
for later. You still can't leave the house until you talk to Yuuichiro, so take
this opportunity if you like. When you're done, go downstairs and give it to
Yuuichiro. He installs it, at which point you hear the roar of a beast! It's
Netto's stomach. He's hungry. After eating, Netto and Yuuichiro decide to go
into town to the Electronics store to stock up on some everyday items. You're
automatically thrown out of the house by the evil Capcom people.

--Akihara Town--

However, on the way to the Metroline station Yuuichiro realises he forgot some
mail or something. He runs back to get it. Now, you must go and talk to
everyone! There's 2 kids in the park, a man by the gates of Yaito's house, a
woman by the gates also, and Dekao is in front of his house. Examine the front
of Meiru's, Yaito's and Higure's humble abodes as well, and go talk to Haruka,
before returning to the Metroline station, at which point Yuuichiro returns,
and you go into town!

--Densan City--

Talk to some people if you like, then head into the second area to trigger an
automatic sequence. Netto and Yuui talk before heading into the shop, then
emerging an hour later. Yuui forgets something AGAIN, the useless bugger. Go to
the left and talk to Meiru and Yaito, then plug into the stereo they're
standing by. Pick up the PanelSteal in the left-hand corner, and the Regular Up
1 in the top corner, then talk to everyone inside (Roll, Glyde and a shadowy
winged navi) before plugging out and talking to Meiru and Yaito again. Yuui
walks up and says hi to everyone, before walking off.

Meiru and Yaito walk off and Netto stands there stupidly. Head left and walk
into the third area and an automatic sequence occurs about the City Netbattle
Tournament. Netto thinks it would be cool to enter. Walk back and talk to the
3 dudes in front of the stereo, then plug in again and walk up to Shademan. He
turns into bats and flies off... MYSTERRRIIOOUUSSSS.

Unfortunately, some REALLY annoying music plays right now, and it will for a
while. Our first stop in this tour however, is Akihara Town...

--Akihara Town--

Take this chance to go plug into some things you couldn't before and get some
items. In Netto's Doghouse is a BMD in the top corner containing Barrier A.
Dekao's SNES will reward you with a Counter 1 T in the right-hand side. You may
also want to run around in Densan Area 2 and amass some chips to throw into
Higure's 3-chip trader. Assembling a single or dual-coded folder is a good idea
at this stage. When you're ready, we'll begin.

--Akihara Area--

Run straight through to Akihara 2, and try to ignore the corpses of the navis.
In Akihara 2, as I said, you may want to amass some chips to throw into the
trader. Also note that the shop I mentioned before that was closed, it's now
open, so feel free to stock up before the challenges ahead.

///Akihara Area 2 Shop

Item Code Price Quantity
HPMemory 1000Z 1
HPMemory 3200Z 1
Bubble Shot R 800Z Infinite?

SpreaderGun * 3200Z 1
Tornado L 7600Z 1

When you're done, head up to Densan Area 3 and follow the blue path where you
will find Shademan attacking Roll, Glyde and Gutsman. Rockman confronts him,
but Shademan announces it is dessert time, and Roll is going to be his dessert.
Yummy. Shademan grabs Roll and flies off into Town Area - and Rockman must
follow him and get Roll back! Yaito sends you her P-Code at this point in time.
Head into Town Area!

--Town Area--

As always, the wide coloured path indicates your suggested route, so follow the
yellow path religiously where you can. Of course, going off the route has it's
rewards, although it may get you lost in this labyrinth. Going left instead of
taking the warp to Town Area 2 here will send you to a BMD containing SandRing
*. Worth getting. When you're done, head into Area 2.

In Area 2, there's no real path, so walk around until you find a red warp on a
green platform. If it takes you to a BMD containing Invisible *, you're on
the right route - take the exit there back to Area 1. Nearby warps lead you to
a rather desolate lower area containing a Locked Mystery Data, and a nearby
ramp leads you to Area 3 which is of no use to you right now - however it does
contain a shop. The path behind said shop also leads to a BMD containing a
Recovery30 R.

///Town Area 3 Shop

Item Code Price Quantity
HPMemory 2500Z 1
HPMemory 6000Z 1

Recovery80 B 5000Z 1
Count Bomb K 12000Z 1

When you're done exploring, head back to Town Area 2, take the red warp on the
green platform to the top of the area, and head into Town 1 on the upper level.
Follow the path down onto the lower level and take the purple warp.

--Giant Speaker 1--

Walk up and you'll see Shademan standing on the other side of the gap. He
taunts you and Rockman ponders over how to get across (Why can't he just, ya
know, jump? x_x) However, Rockman sees a registration plate in the net near to
him, it's the giant speaker where the City Netbattle Tournament was being
announced! Plug out, and head into Densan City!

--Densan City--

Head to Area 2 and try and access Area 3. You'll find a scientist restricts you
from entering - the speaker is producing hypersonic sounds which could deafen
you and quite possibly worse. Talk to him normally, then return to Area 1. To
the north of where you enter is a gate, examine it now and it'll open. Run up
the staircase and down the path. The large sign marked "Aircon" on the left
side of the building can be plugged into - and a BMD in the left-hand corner
contains a Regular Up2. Anyways, carry on towards the giant speaker.

Automatic scene with Netto pronouncing that he rocks, before the hypersonic
sounds kick in. He runs off screaming like a fool. Go back down onto the lower
level and back to the stereo where you first saw Shademan - plug in and walk
over to the green navi standing by the opposite wall. Accept to fight him to
get the Headphones...

//SUB-BOSS
  \\Normal Navi

HP: 230 Element: Normal
Operator: None Prize: Headphones
Movement: Teleports around arena slowly.

Attacks:
Cannon (10): Fires a small, slow travelling Cannon shot.
LilBomb (10): Fires a bomb that hits the column that you are on.

Head back up around the top of the building. The speaker shouldn't affect you
here now that you've got the headphones. Netto is obviously excited as he can't
restrain himself from doing a hip thrust. Run around behind the speaker to the
close side. Plug in.

--Giant Speaker 1--

The red path indicates the perimeter around the area.. Head SouthEast (to
RockMan's right). Backtrack a bit and pick up the BMD for a Spreader M chip.
Keep on this path. At the corner there should be a BMD with a Reg-Up2 inside.
Head around the bend (North). Stop a second to talk to the Program there. It
will give you a Start Data A. Walk into the center area and head directly left
to the corner for another BMD containing 700 zennys. Alright, now that that's
taken care of, it's time for the PacMan puzzle. Remember when you needed to
eat the big dots and then get all the ghosts in PacMan? This is similar. The
large machine in the center will give you ten seconds to find bats floating
around. There are three. Once you find them all, talk to the program and it
will open the gate blocking your way. Continue to the next area.

Area 1
  Bats Required: 3
BMDs: SpreaderGun M (near the entrance)
RegularUp2 (right-hand corner of the red frame)
700 Zenny (very left-hand corner of the white frame)

--Giant Speaker 2--

Head directly North and pick up the BMD at the end of that path. It contains
a BugPiece. A good pick up. Keep working your way around the perimeter for
another BMD which contains...a LongSword S! It's time for our first Program
Advance, folks: DreamSword. Head back south and talk to the next GateKeeper
program. It gives you a Start Data B. From the GateKeeper, go directly West
to the middle of the stage. Pick up the BMD in the corner, which has an
HPMemory in it. Same type of PacMan deal as before, except this time there
are four bats. Run around and eat them, and then head to the GateKeeper
program.

Area 2
  Bats Required: 4
BMDs: Bug Piece (left-hand corner of white frame)
Long Sword S (top platform of white frame)
HP Memory (next to hypersonic flash generator)

After beating both areas, proceed to Shademan. However, when Rockman approaches
Shademan uses an unexpected surprise - ultrasonic waves WITHIN the net -
endangering Rockman. Netto must find a solution... It's simple, really,
there's a volume switch on the lower level, all you have to do as Netto is go
down and knock it to zero.

--Back in the Giant Speaker--

//BOSS
  \\Shademan.EXE

HP: 500 Element: Normal
Operator: Unknown Prize: No Data
Movement: Teleports around arena erratically.

Attacks:
Noise Crush (20): A wide, short range attack using ultra sonic waves.
                 Paralyzes.
Bats (20): Summons bats to attack Rockman. They home in on him.
Yami Chikara: Any attacks made on Shademan are absorbed by darkness. In
(Dark Power) other words, he is invincible.

After attacking Shademan numerous times and having it absorbed by Yami Chikara,
the battle comes to an end. However, Enzan and Blues (Shademan: Official Ace-
Netbattlers? Impossible...) come along, and Blues slashes at Shademan, missing
but only through a VERY powerful use of Yami Chikara. He turns into bats and
flies away, although he drops something...

Blues plugs out. Roll and Rockman have cybersex or something... Just kidding.
The two talk for a while, Roll thanks Rockman for all he's done and the usual
crappy RPG maiden in distress crap. Roll points out the flaming data and
Rockman goes over to pick it up. You get the key item Mysterious Data, before
being force-plugged out and returned to the Akihara Metroline station! :<>

--Akihara Town--

Go over to Higureya and muck around with the trader if you like, before talking
to Higure. Netto shows the mysterious data to Higsby and he freaks out! FOR IT
IS THE AKUMA NO CHIPU, the Devil's chip... the source of Yami Chikara! *faked
gasps all round* After warning you of it's evil and asking you to neeeevvverrr
use it, for fear it may corrupt your heart with dark power... Then the happy
music plays. Welcome back to reality. If you want to do anything on the net,
do it now, then go to bed in Netto's room.

__________________________________________________________________|

--ANSA HQ--

Welcome back to ANSA HQ again, folks. It's time for random inane storyline! Yay
I hear you say. Anyways, the purple-haired lady from the intro scene is talking
to a group of professors - including Yuuichiro about the stars and all that. As
she is speaking, however, a man walks in from the staircase on the left. Gee,
a custom NPC sprite, ya don't see one of those every day... x_x. The purple-
haired woman introduces him as Doctor Rigale. Doctor Hikari makes an inner
monologue about the man and his top-level work, and Rigale makes an auto-
scrolling speech just for effect.

Hikari takes the guys and gal up to the top level to examine the data which I
presume was what happened during the introduction. Rigale starts spouting off
about a laser and stands next to Hikari as if he's important, and then they
realise - that's it! They'll shoot the meteor out the atmosphere with a giant
laser! Oh hoorah. x_x

--Netto's House--

Netto is, as always, asleep - and Rockman is beeping at him to wake up. Seems
Netto is having a lie-in as always. Lazy arse. Rockman reminds him that today
is the day for the Densan Battle Tournament! :<> Head to Densan City, to the
Giant Speaker, in fact! The man says that in order to enter your name you'll
need to head to Town Area 3 and meet up with a man named Jormon. He gives you
Jormon's code so you can get to his computer! Go back to Netto's House and plug
in!

--Internet--

Plug in at Netto's PC. Follow the main road to Town Area 2. Before you head up
the steps, note the security cube to the left. It's Jormon's Security Cube.
Unlock it if you want. There's nothing of importance there now. Now, head up
the stairs. Work your way around to the west and go down the ramp and into
Town Area 3. Keep following the main road around until you see another odd-
looking Navi. Talk to it. It will ask you for a name input and will give you
a grand total of...

*drumroll*

...THREE letters to compose it of. >_< Pick a name for the NetBattle
tournament and plug out. Head back to Densan Area Three.

--Densan City--

Here, talk to the man by the speaker again to trigger a sequence. It's the 3
scientists from ANSA HQ! The basic aim of the game here is that each of them
has a task for you to do, and you must do them all to proceed into the
tournament. Simple, ne?

//Blonde Dude Mission
Head to Akihara Area 2. Where the main road splits into an open platform go
east (the turn after the red Navi who will not allow you to progress). Talk
to the Navi wandering around back there. Then, head back onto the main road.
Take the route that you did previously to get to Town Area 3. Except this time,
instead of turning and going down the ramp, continue straight and go into the
red portal. It should take you to the lower level. Head East. Just around the
bend, slightly obscured by a platform is a Navi you should have seen when you
were making your way to the Red Portal. Talk to him. When you're through there,
plug out and take the Metro back to Densan. Go upstairs and plug into the
billboard. See the purple Navi with the horde of Metools? That's your
adversary.

///Blonde Dude's Mission
\\\Two Spikeys and a Purple Navi

Purple Navi
HP: 100 Element: Normal
Operator: None Prize: AreaSteal Chip
Movement: Teleports around arena at an average pace.

Attacks:
Sword: Slices with a longsword (2x1 range). 20 damage.
LilBomb: Fires a bomb that hits the column that you are on. 20 damage.
AreaSteal: Will take the first column of your area.

Defeat them. Talk to some of the Metools. Go back to the blonde dude and let
him know that you've accomplished your mission.

//Scientist's Mission
He wants you to find some bugs. This one is much easier. Head to Akihara.
Observe the teddy bear lying on Yaito's couch and the tree in the park that
is adjacent to the squirrel statue. Return and talk to the scientist.

//Purple-Haired Lady's Mission
Talk to the lady with the purple hair. She'll ask you a math question, so if
you get one with words, keep asking her till you get a plain old numbers one,
and answer it. Then, you go into some battles.

There are three battles vs. viruses here.

Battle 1: 2x Mettool, Mettool EX
Battle 2: 2x Garuu
Battle 3: Mettool EX, Biri, Rounder

Defeat them all to complete the last mission. Then talk to Jormon again.
He'll tell you that you've passed, yadda, yadda, yadda. Head back to the
MetroLine and go to the New Location.

--------------------------------------\/--------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------/\--------------------------------------|
NOW, here's the deal. There's basically different paths you can get through
the tournaments. It's random which paths you get, although the second battle of
each will depend on your version - as obviously you can't get a soul not in the
other version, yes. Okay, so what we're gonna do is list the different paths
you can get, and you have to goddamn guess which one you have. So there.

Feel free to tander around and talk to people here. When you're ready to
progress head in the side entance. You should pass the girl with the purple
hair. Head upstairs and talk to the blonde dude. He'll show you your
tournament bracket and explain some thigns about the tournament. Head back
downstairs towards the exit. Talk to the girl, whose name is Yuuko. Now, head
outside and talk to her. She should be standing on the Blue Moon panel on the
group. Talk to her again, and she'll run. At this point you begin to chase her
for a while. Amazingly, although you can keep the pace with cars, you can't
catch this little girl. Yadda, yadda, cutscene ends.

You've got mail! Mom says come home. Do that. Yuuko's dad is there and he lets
you know that Yuuko is using a mysterious power on the internet to delete navis
and erase their memories. Now, when you're in the net, you'll have a gauge
in the top right hand corner that Yuuko's father gives you. Your job is to
wander around in the Net and find Ghost Navis that have been deleted by Yuuko.
When your meter turns yellow, you're getting close. When it's red, start
pushing A.

--Internet--

Ghost Navi Locations:
Akihara 1: 1
Follow the main path through the intersection with the program in it.
Make your first left after that. Follow the path around. In the open area,
check the upper corner. Move on to Area 2.

Akihara 2: 2
Right before the main path turns into a platform, there is a cut-off to the
right. Take it. There is a Ghost Navi behind the NetDealer. Defeat his two
Mettaur EX and get onto the large platform.

Instead of continuing on the main path, take the path parallel to it. Go all
the way east from there, and talk to the Ghost Navi just outside of the dead
end. Continue to Area 3.

Akihara 3: 1
Follow the main road straight. When you hit an open area make a right onto
the eastern path. Follow it around to a dead end. Don't make any turns that
you don't have to. The Ghost Navi is on the outside bend of the turn going to
the dead end. Delete the two Mettool EX and the Rounder and go to Town 1.

Town 1: 2
As you come in from Akihara Area3, follow the main path to the point that it
cuts into the checkerboard-looking road part. Keep going straight from where
you were (the actual direciton is West) and you'll find this one in a dead end.
From there continue around the main path. Go past where you would usually turn
into Town 2. Hang a left where you have to, and keep heading south until you
hit a dead end. Go West and the Ghost navi will be hiding in that circle. He
wants to fight. Delete the two Hopper viruses that he assails you with and head
on to Area 2.

Town 2: 1
Go up the ramp. Head around to where the ramp downward is but make the last
right (North) before you get to it. Go straight into the dead end. Defeat the
two Mettool EXs and the Fan to continue.

Town 3: 1
Follow the main path around to where you gave the odd-looking Navi your name
entry. Check in the upper corner.

Plug out and chat with Yuuko's father. He'll thank you for taking care of the
ghost Navi situation. Head back to the Densan Dome and up to the room that you
couldn't access before. Welcome to the site of your first NetBattle. And who
could be your opponent, but Yuuko!?

--Densan Dome--

//SUB-BOSS
  \\Normal Navi

HP: 300 Element: Normal
Operator: Yuuko Prize: No Data
Movement: Teleports around arena slowly.

Attacks:
Cannon (20): Fires a small, slow travelling cannon shot.
LilBomb (20): Throws a bomb that hits the column that you are on.
Wind: Summons a fan to the battlefield. It pushes you to your back column.
Fan: Summons a fan to the battlefield. It pulls you to your front column.

Remember those ghosts you had to beat? Turns out she's one of them too, deleted
by her own power. Tut. She's but a mere hologram, and after losing to Netto she
slowly fades out of existence. "Ganbatare, onii-chan"...

Wait! Before you leave, jack in to the NetBattling console. Head down the the
corner and get a Spreader N chip that's in a BMD. Now, leave the room.

b) Gantetsu's Battle |
_____________________|

--Densan Dome--

Feel free to tander around and talk to people here. When you're ready to
progress head in the side entance. Ignore Violet (as I will now call her) and
run straight past her and plug in to the blue drinks machine, grabbing the
Recovery50 S on the opposite side before plugging out and heading upstairs,
taking the double doors and talking to blondie. He'll welcome you to the
tournament before showing you your tournament brackets.

Netto talks about the dark navi, as a man with long black hair walks in. He
says he is the operator of that navi, and his name is Gantetsu, before walking
out again. Walking out and leaving triggers a cutscene with Netto talking to
Rock before being assaulted by two thugs, who crash into him - then blame it on
him. Oh, wonderful. The one with glasses asks him for one million zenny, whilst
the other one says that no school kid could pay such a ridiculous amount. He
then asks for 100,000 and the other guy says that's more reasonable. Urk. It's
your lucky day however, for Gantetsu drops down out of nowhere and beats them
up for you. Not as bad as he seems, eh? Anyways, while outside go plug into
the Takoyaki store to your left and pick up the BMD inside containing a HPMem.

Anyways, your task for now is to find Gantetsu, which is a task that took me
quite a while, I must say. He's on the lower level of Densan City, in front of
the giant speaker, confronting the two thugs. Enter and a sequence will occur
automatically in which the two thugs will ask him if he can take on not one but
both of them. He says he can. Netto runs in asking him what he's doing. He says
he must uphold his honour or some such, and the conversation turns to
Netbattling, and he says that if it's a Netbattle they want, then fine. The two
say to meet in Town Area 3, and walk off, as does Gantetsu. Let's take a
shortcut. Plug into the computer by the Electronics Store from the prologue.
It's actually Jormon's comp! Take a shortcut through to Town Area

--Internet--

Run straight through to Town Area 3. Follow the white path onto the upper level
and you see Gantetsu's navi... facing 8 others. Erk. Gantetsu's navi is
injured and plugs out - and the other 8 navis rearrange themselves to create
a gauntlet. Let's see who you'll be facing tonight. =P

Dark Navi
HP: 100 Element: Normal
Operator: None Prize: None
Movement: Teleports around arena at an average pace.

Attacks:
Sword: Slices with a longsword (2x1 range). 20 damage.
LilBomb: Fires a bomb that hits the column that you are on. 20 damage.
AreaSteal: Will take the first column of your area.

Battle 1 - MettoolEX and Dark Navi
Battle 2 - Biri and Dark Navi
Battle 3 - Garuu and Dark Navi
Battle 4 - Promero and Dark Navi
Battle 5 - Rounder and Dark Navi
Battle 6 - Bolkelgia and Dark Navi

But, as you run over to the last two.. the teleport off. And create another
blockade. Let's see who you'll be facing again. Tonight.

Battle 1 - 3x Dark Navi (only one has AreaSteal)
Battle 2 - 3x Dark Navi (only one has AreaSteal)
Battle 3 - Take a guess. 3x Dark Navi (only one has AreaSteal)

As you walk up to the other two, Gantetsu's navi returns, although injured,
and defeats them both with one Zantsuki Kick! Whoo. He then thanks you, and
says he'll see you again at Densan Dome. You're then plugged out. Return to
Densan Dome.

--Densan Dome--

Enter via the side entrance again and head up the stairs and through the
double doors, then into the next set. Welcome to the battle platform! It's time
to fight! Netto rushes up on to the platform with Gantetsu. The two wish each
other good luck, before the battle begins!

//SUB-BOSS
  \\Gantetsu's Dark Navi
HP: 300 Element: Normal
Operator: Gantetsu Prize: None
Movement: Teleports around arena at an average pace.

Attacks:
PaladinSword (20): Slices with a PaladinSword (3x1 range).
Hougan (20): Throws a cannonball that breaks panels.
AreaSteal: Navi has one use of AreaSteal. 10 damage if it hits.
Raining Stones (20): Drops two stones onto the field randomly.
Virus Summon: Can summon various viruses to the field.

Well, that wasn't too tough, I hope. Staying alive long enough to see Raining
Stones without killing him was quite fun, though. x_x. Anyways, after you kick
his ass. Gantetsu's a bit annoyed, but Netto says he fought well. It turns out
that Gantetsu's actually just a bit shocked to see someone beat him, but wishes
Netto well. He leaves shouting "Hikari Netto! Abayo!" and walks off. Before
walking off the pedestal, however, plug into the battle machine and pick up the
SpreaderGun N in the bottom corner before plugging out and leaving.

--------------------------------------\/--------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------/\--------------------------------------|
Okay, so those are the two possible first rounds you can end up with. There are
now four possible second rounds - two for each version, once again random.
Until we beat the game and get onto our second play, we haven't got all of
these listed yet but we do have what is seemingly the most common two so that's
good. Anyways, Rescue Chisao! is Red Sun-only and Net Flooded! is Blue Moon.
--------------------------------------\/--------------------------------------|

Back in the preparation room, the blonde dude from ANSA that facilitates the
tournaments will announce the winner and pairings for the next round will
appear on the screen. You'll get an e-mail. Read it and leave.

...or DON'T! BWAHAHAHAHA!

Wait through the cut sequence with AquaMan and Shuuko, his operator.
Go outside and see her talking to a pair of twins. At the end of the second
cut sequence, talk to the guy still standing there. He'll give you Compressed
Air that you're going to need to breathe on the net. If you've been paying
attention you know by now that the Net has been flooded by AquaMan. Go to
Dekao's house and plug in.

--Internet--

Why Dekao's house? It's closer to our destination. Note that, as RockMan
points out, your air gauge is constantly draining. Follow the main path to
Town Area 2 and stop in Jormon's PC to let your air recharge. Head up the
ramp and to a round dead-end platform to the East. Enjoy cut sequence. Let
AquaMan swim away and do absolutely nothing about it. And then plug out. Plug
back in and follow the main path until you're stopped for a cutscene in
Akihara 2. Plug out and go to the Densan dome to talk to the twin again. He'll
tell you that Shuuko went to Densan town. Go there. Smack some sense into that
ho bag and she'll reward you with Shuuko's Key. Plug in to Dekao's PC and get
on the Internet. Open the door with Shuuko's Key and step into the portal. Go
straight on the path until it curves around. Talk to AquaMan to get him to
drain the water on the Internet. After auto-plugging out head to the Densan
Dome.

--Densan Dome--

Head to the tournament room and watch the cutscene. It's NetBattle time!

//BOSS

HP: 500 Element: Aqua
Operator: Shuuko Prize: Aqua Soul
Movement: Teleports around arena erratically.

Attacks:
AquaBuster (20): Shoots you with an aqua buster that goes two squares
forward and explodes one square behind where it lands.
Minibomb (20): Like a minibomb but aqua element. Cracks any panel it hits.
Twin Faucets (20): Two faucets appear on the top and bottom rows at the
front of his area and shoot water two squares forward, in sequence.

Defeat AquaMan and you'll get an e-mail from your dad. Read it...

///Tutorial Battle 04
   \\\3x Mettool EX
Here, Yuui introduces you to the Soul Unison system. Basically, you must
sacrifice a chip that corresponds to the soul you wish to use in order to Soul
Unison. For example, for Aqua Soul you would select an Aqua chip and hit the
Unison button to turn Aqua Soul. Number Soul would use +/- chips, etc. However,
you can only Soul Unison once a battle and only for 3 turns, so make the best
of it.

After this, you'll get another e-mail from your dad detailing Soul Unison in
case you forget the tutorial.

e) Rescue Chisao! |
__________________|

Next round, your opponent is Gutsman. Netto's quite excited about battling
Dekao and his Gutsman, and as he contemplates, Dekao runs in! Gaspzorz! He runs
in saying he's not going to lose before Chisao runs in calling for him. Chisao
wishes him luck, spouting that goddamn "You're the best netbattler in Densan
City!" crap from EXE3 again, before running out. Tsk. Dekao wishes Netto luck
before running out to follow him. The moment you leave the goddamn room Dekao
runs back to Netto. x_x

He's out of breath, but announces that Chisao has run off! Oh noes! However,
it's revealed that's not the case - he's been kidnapped - and they want Netto
in exchange? (I think? Oo) Dekao runs up and grabs Netto, demanding they go
and get him back, but Netto tells him to calm down and he consults Rock. You
get some nonsensish clue which makes no goddamn sense. Anyways, I deciphered it
eventually. Go to Densan City, to the lower level. At the VERY end of the path
you'll find a man who gives you the key item Memo. Then, go plug into Jormon's
comp and follow it through to Town 2. Head up and take the warp onto the lower
area. Take the path up and to the right and it's blocked by a red navi. Buy the
Board Parts off him for 2000Z. Then, head to Area 3 and take the path up behind
the merchant. A navi behind there will give you Hint Data. Plug out, and return
to Densan Dome.

--Densan Dome--

For the first time now you should take the FRONT entrance and examine the
flowers in the middle, with the ribbon. Netto will find something weird. You
then get mail... from Chisao? o_O He asks you to meet up with someone... Now go
to ACDC Park and examine the Squirrel statue. It gives you a small hint about
where to go next - which happens to be the Giant Speaker at Densan City. Head
there but this time go through the fenced gate and approach the giant speaker
from the top - and plug in. Run ALLLL the way through till you're at where you
fought Shademan before. Talk to the programs there. The 3rd from the right will
send you into an endurance battle.

Battle 1: 2x MettoolEX, Rounder
Battle 2: Biri, 2x Promero
Battle 3: MettoolEX, Promero, Rounder

Anyway, the Speaker Programs then send you a message. There are five evil navis
out on the net. You must defeat them with the Power of Buttonmashing. Basically
you run up to them and do various random tasks to get data off them. Sound
good? Thought so. Plug out, head back to Akihara and plug into Netto's PC. Okay
so, the first one is in Akihara Area 1, on the south on a large platform -
reached from the white path before the entrance to Area 2. He is nice and
seemingly gives you the One Data for no reason. o_O As you pass through Akihara
Area 2, buy a BubbleShot R from the shop if you don't have one. You'll need it
later.

The second is in Akihara Area 3, on a path just to the left of the entrance to
Town Area. He'll sell you the Two Data for 1000Z. Good deal. The third is in
Town Area 1, south of the entrance to Town Area 2. He'll give you a rapid fire
quiz! Gooo!

1 - c) Personal Terminal
2 - c) Kirin
3 - a) Jormon Electronics
4 - b) Nanako
5 - c) Takayaki Store

For completing that, you get the Three Data! The fourth is in the north of the
lower area of Town Area 2. He wants a BubbleShot R which I asked you to buy
earlier. Give it to him and you get the Four Data. The fifth is in Town Area 3
on the platform where you did your Name Entry. He'll give it to you.. then
try to kill you. You fight a Dark Navi (see stats from earlier) and 2 MettoolEX
so beat him up quick. Then plug out and dash dash dash back to Densan!

--Densan City--

Head back to the Giant Speaker on the upper level again and plug in. Return to
the programs, and talk to all of them, then plug out and head to the lower
level again. Rush up to the speaker and an automatic sequence occurs. Turns out
that the speaker programs were behind it all along. Gasp wheese omg. Anyways,
they'll throw you into a battle sequence against 3 GaruuEXs. Nothing too hard,
really. Beat em and Chisao comes running up to you. HE LIVES! His capturer got
away though, as Chisao points out, but Rockman reminds him that what matters is
that Chisao is okay. Awww. You're automatically returned to Densan Dome.

Proceed as you did before to the battle platform where Dekao awaits. The crowd
cheer for both combatanants as Dekao awaits Netto... Blondy says that Netto
hasn't arrived in time so Dekao can call victory, but he refuses and says he'll
wait for Netto. Netto runs in saying wait up, and with Chisao too! Dekao thanks
Netto as Chisao rushes back to his brother. Hikari Netto vs. Ooyama Dekao! GO!

//BOSS
  \\Gutsman.EXE
HP: 500 Element: Normal
Operator: Ooyama Dekao Prize: Guts Soul
Movement: Teleports around arena slowly.

Attacks:
Stop & Drop: Drops stones onto his opponent, and cracks one random panel.
                 20 damage.
Rapid Fire: Fires 3 buster shots straight forward. Range of 3, 5 damage/hit
Guts Punch: Punches one square in front. 30 damage.

Gutsman Delete. Winner, Hikari Nettttoooo sensshuuuu!! Hoorah. Senshu means
battler, btw. Anyways, you win, I hope, as Gutsman moves really slowly and also
attacks really slowly. x_x Chisao then apologizes... It's revealed that the
kidnapper... was himself. Gasp. Yes, he runs away. Dekao says he's lying, and
calls him stupid for putting Netto through all that, and demands he apologizes.
Netto says it's alright, they're friends. Dekao and Chisao leave, and you get
a message! Rockman's soul resonates with the power of Gutsman! You got Guts
Soul! Yay! You then get a message from Yuuichiro detailing Soul Unison,
including (lucky you) a training program. Let's go!

//Tutorial Battle 04
  \\3x MettoolEX
Yuuichiro explains that in order to Soul Unison, you must discard a chip that
depicts the soul you want to use. In this case, to use Guts Soul, you should
discard a Crack Out, or any chip depicting the Earth Waves symbol that it has.
Select the chip, and that chip alone and hit Unison! He tells you that you can
use the B button to cancel if you like, but for now hit OK. Battle as normal,
for now. Afterwards, Yuui reminds you that Soul Unison will only last for 3
turns, so use it goddamn wisely, foo!

Anyways, the effects of Guts Soul.
- Charge Attack becomes Guts Punch
- Mashing B lets you use Guts Machine Gun, and become invincible while using it
- Certain chips get +30 damage boosts.

Yuui then sends you another e-mail recapping what he just said in case you
forget, with a silly "That's the power of Guts!" message again. Christ.
Anyways, you can leave now. Thank god. Blondy thinks that you have uber
potential and says you're gonna win the tournament. Yeah, we know that. That's
kinda the point of playing, eh? -_-;

--------------------------------------\/--------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------/\--------------------------------------|
Okay, final round, final random split. You can get either of these in each game
as these aren't exclusive. Sparkman's route is the easiest but Sparkman is
easily a much harder boss, whereas Topman's route is just annoying but Topman
is... very easy. Good luck. ^_^

g) Master of the Tops! |
_______________________|

ANSA guy will once again announce the winner and the pairings for the next
round, which are the finals! Leave the building. No, really. Do. And then
walk out to the front of the building. Enjoy cut sequence with old man moles--
errr, showing a little kid a top he bought.

Plug in to the top and don't even think about heading directly to the middle
to solve the problem. Walk along the north wall and pick up the BMD
containing 1600 Zennys. Now, head to the little Mettool sprite and kill the
viruses. There are two Mettool EX and a AirHock. Plug out.

A man walks up and starts talking to Netto, demanding what he was doing to HIS
top. Netto insists he was just removing viri, but the man doesn't want to hear
it. Rock wonders if he's a NetBattler. After a short conversation it is
revealed he is, and that he is the operator of the navi in the final round...
Topman! Topman mentions his operator's iron will, for it seems to be mentioned
that he's been in a coma for 50 years? o_O He insists however that his
Netbattling skills aren't rusty like he is, and that his Topman will poan thou.
He then walks off.

Pick up the top and go to Densan Town. Find its owner in Area 2 and talk to
him. Head to Akihara and speak to the old people in the park. Go Plug in at
Netto's PC. Run to Town Area 1. Follow the main road, except pass the entrance
to Area 2. Follow the path around and make a right at the dead end. Talk to
the Brown Navi and go for the first option. Your reward is a Reg-Up1.
Progress to Area 2. Go up the ramp and head to where you found the ghost Navi
before. Talk to the Brown Navi and select the bottom-left option. Get a Reg-Up2
from him. Now, head back to the path to take you down the stairs but continue
and go through the red portal to the lower level. Go to the far corner via
whichever route you fancy. Talk to the Brown Navi there and select the
bottom-right option. He will give you a Reg-Up3. Go back up to the top level
and head down the ramp to Area 3. Follow the main path and go up the ramp.
Walk until the end and then circle around to the far path. At the end is
another Brown Navi. The top-right is the answer here, and he'll give you a
Reg-Up4 for it! He'll also give you a door opener. Plug out. Plug back in
and open the first door on your right. Take your first left and talk to the
Brown Navi there. Talk to him to fight two Promeros and the hammer. Plug out.
Go to Densan Town Area 3. Watch the cut sequence with Takumi and his twin
brother. Head to the Densan Dome and fight TopMan.

//BOSS
  \\TopMan.EXE

HP: 600 Element: None
Operator: Tensuke Takami Prize: Mini Trophy
Movement: Teleports around arena erratically.

Attacks:
Spin (20): TopMan turns into a top and spins horizonally across a row and
       then back.
Dual Tops (20/30): TopMan teleports away and two tops appear and spin
diagonally, bouncing off the edges of the stage until they return to
their point of origin (20). TopMan then falls down from the top of the
screen in top form to where RockMan is standing (30).
Top Drop (30): Two faucets appear on the top and bottom rows at the
front of his area and shoot water two squares forward, in sequence.

And Netto is the winner! Topman's operator is a bit shocked, but congratulates
Netto on his victory. The two talk for a bit, Netto calls him an old man, and
the usual "I'm not old!" thing, and then he walks off. Then, Takumi's brother
and grandson (?) walk in, and everybody starts cheering for Takumi. He feels a
little happier. ^_^ After a brief chat with his brother, the two get into a
rabid battle... squabbling old grandpas, eh? Then, the scene cuts back to
blondie and Netto, who is proclaimed the winner of the City Netbattle Tourney!
Yayyyyy! The two then have an brief interview before you get given the Mini
Trophy.

Anyways, turns out next round is gonna be gratuitous kicking of Sparkman bottom
so get ready, get steady, get psyched, get realised to the fact you have no
Wood chips. =P Blargh. Anyways, you then get a mail from Jormon Electronics
asking you if you want PET maintenance. Note the lack of Jormon's face on said
mail. It's a scam, yes, but nothing you can do about that, player. You must do
as evil mr game villain says. For you are Hikari Netto, and Hikari Netto is
dumb.

Anyways, go outside and talk to the guy with the baseball cap standing outside
the front of Densan Dome. He says he's the PET Maintenance guy, and Netto gives
him the PET. The guy shudders when he hears the name Rockman, however. He
tinkers with the PET, then... runs off. And drops a note. Seems the guy's given
you a crappy multi-coded folder that can't do crap. And locked your old folder.
Oh hoorah. Not. Still, it has Crack Out chips - Guts Soul ahoy!

Anyways, the piece of paper is a thing he dropped with hints for unlocking the
folder again, basically. You should try and find a way to unlock it... Head to
Densan City.

--Densan City--

Head to Jormon Electronics and talk to the girl to the left of the store, then
go back over and talk to the old man in front of it, and then again. Netto
will give the man his PET and he will say he knows how to unlock it. HOWEVER,
he doesn't know the password. That's the only thing he needs. It's 7 letters
long. That paper had seven clues. A conincidence? I think not. Anyways, the 7
clues you'll be needing are as follows.

1) How many programs are there in the moniter of the advert above the shopping
   district?
2) 15+2+3-14 = ?
3) The number of Takoyaki at the Takoyaki store in Densan Dome.
4) The number of Official Navis in Town Area.
5) The number of areas Akihara Area has.
6) The number of navis in the Stereo computer.
7) The number of trees in ACDC Town.

Can't be bothered to look that all up? Thought not. The combination is 9681345
in Red Sun, and 1863546 in Blue Moon. (Actually, I have been informed that in
the harder modes you may occasionally get "7374262" as a passcode. I haven't
run across it myself, though.) Goddamn Capcom and their changiness, I tell ye!
Talk to the old man again and give him the code. He'll unlock your folder. He
lets you keep the Heppoko Folder, though I dunno WHY you'd wanna use it. x_x

RS Optional: If you wish, you can now go and beat up GutsmanV2. He's in Akihara
Area 2, in the right-hand corner of the 'central plaza' as such. Be warned, for
he has attacks dealing up to 120 damage which could put a dent in your health
with but two blows.

Anyways, when you're done just head to Densan Dome and enter the Battle
Platform for the third time. Whoo. The first battler enters, and it's Spar...
It's the guy from earlier! Yes, the saboteur was Sparkman's operator. Guess he
was just afraid of losing, eh? Netto then walks in and joins him on the
platform. He welcomes Netto before Netto recognizes him... Then, Netto ASKS him
if he was the saboteur. What a moron. "Hi, do you sabotage my PET?" Christ...

Ahem, anyways. The kid utterly denies it for he doesn't want to get
disqualified, it seems. His navi Sparkman speaks and asks if they can just get
started - he's getting impatient. Nice way to change the conversation. Netto's
sorta miffed but goes along with it. Turns out the kid's name is Teruo. Teruo
Joubun. Yeah, my kanji sucks. Live with it. x_x

//BOSS
  \\Sparkman.EXE
HP: 500 Element: Normal
Operator: Teruo Prize: Mini Trophy
Movement: Teleports around arena slowly.

Attacks: (Sparkman glows yellow before attacking.)
Spark Mine: Fires a mine that explodes in a cross-shape. Will sometimes
move in a way that it can't hit you to trick you. 20 damage.
Charge Spark: Sends a sparking flying down the field, turning down each
column as it moves. Step onto a space it's already moved on
                  to be safe. 20 damage.

That was easy, eh? Yup, Sparkman deleted. You win. The kid runs off complaining
about his loss. He says he must improve, and Sparkman's a little weirded out.
Turns out that Teruo is a robot made by the old man? o_O. Holograms in BlueMoon
and robots in Red Sun, god. This game is running out of ideas fast. The old man
sorta talks to Netto about something (Teruo's ancestry) before walking out. The
kid talks about how he has a heart before running off. The old man tells him
to shut up. Then, the scene cuts back to blondie and Netto, who is proclaimed
the winner of the City Netbattle Tourney! Yayyyyy! The two then have an brief
interview before you get given the Mini Trophy.

Cut to some scheming by Rigale, who walks offscene after excusing himself to
the scientist. It then cuts back to Netto in the park as Meiru walks up to him
and starts moaning at him, and he apologizes but he says he was busy with the
City Netbattle Tournament. (Why's she so pissed, anyways?) You then get an
e-mail about the Nihon (Japan) Netbattle Tournament. Squee, aren't you lucky?

Answer the e-mail and go to Meiru-chan's house. Talk to her. She will give
you the code to her security cube. Plug in to Meiru-chan's computer computer
and talk to the programs there. One should open a link from her computer to
yours. Go on to the Internet from Meiru-chan's PC. Open the Security Cube.
Make your way to Town Area 3. Talk to Roll. She will tell you that a new park
has opened in Densan, and asks if you're going. Talk to the Navi that
approaced during your conversation. You'll wind up battling him for free
tickets to the new park.

There are three battles vs. viruses here.

Battle 1: 3x Mettool EX
Battle 2: 2x Promero EX
Battle 3: Mettaur EX, Promero EX, Gaia

Another short conversation and Roll and RockMan will plug out. Head to
Netto's room and talk to your mom. After the scene, examine the computer, then
plug in and run all the way back to Town Area 3. What a pointless pain in the
arse. Keep following the main path back to the door. Prepare for cut sequence.
After realizing you can't get through the door after running all the way back
here a green Navi approaches. He tells you to stop shooting the door. x_x You
just ask to get in, as you got tickets but... he doesn't listen. Kick his head
in.

//SUB-BOSS
  \\Normal Navi

HP: 300 Element: Normal
Operator: None Prize: No Data
Movement: Teleports around arena slowly.

Attacks:
Cannon (20): Fires a small, slow travelling cannon shot.
LilBomb (20): Throws a bomb that hits the column that you are on.
Wind: Summons a fan to the battlefield. It pushes you to your back column.
Fan: Summons a fan to the battlefield. It pulls you to your front column.
Recov50: Recovers 50 HP. Only does this when low on HP.

Defeat the Navi and check it's body. Now, here's the doozy. Examine the green
navi's body. It gives you a series of 7 numbers and letters, organized in rows.
The letter with the 1 after it is the first letter of the passcode, the one
with the two after it is the second, etc. Note down the code using this
information and examine the purple gate. Punch in the code, and it'll open!
Yay for you, Rockman. You got in somehow. Follow the main road around. When it
disappears, head East. Go back to Town Area 3. Talk to the green Navi walking
around on the southernmost path. He may be obscured by the main road above,
but in any case he'll sell you Jet Parts for the low, low price of 3000Z. Yay!
Head back to Park Area 1. Make your way around the only path that's not a dead
end. There's a SubChip Dealer here, if you care to stock up. Take the last
possible left turn before reaching the main road again and follow the path
around for a BMD containing a Reg-Up2. Get back on the road and head to Area 2.
Make the first right in the only direction you can go. Delete the Purple Navi
(he's relatively similar to the one you fought early in the game) and sit
through the cut scene. He's after your dark chips or something, apparently. He
mentions "Dark Chip Shinjiketto: Nebula" which... sounds a bit eh, if you ask
me. Before he divulges any useful info on the subject, he teleports off. Rock
apologizes to Netto, and they ponder over Nebula before plugging out.

In a small scene, Shademan is talking to the operator of the navi you just met.
The operator thinks he did a good job. Shademan begs to differ. The operator
asks what the problem was.. and Shademan answers it by killing him off. Nice
guy, that Shademan. Cut back to Netto and Haruka. Haruka apologizes for
causing him worry, and you get an e-mail. Netto runs to the window to take a
look at the theme park. Netto ponders over the theme park, and Haruka wishes
him luck on his date with Meiru. Netto immediately squeals and says it's not a
date. He says he just got tickets and thought Meiru would like to go. Haruka
says otherwise and says Netto doesn't have to hide secrets from her. Netto is
embarassed. Poor guy.

--Netto's House--

Ya've got mail. Check it. No, seriously. Even if you can't read it, CHECK IT.
You'll be in for a pleasant shock. From: Papa. To: Netto. Subject: Navi
Customiser. ^__^. Yes, it's back from EXE3! OPEN IT! OPEN IT! He wishes you
luck and says not to worry about what happened to Haruka. He encloses a new
Navi Customiser program for your PET. Yaaay. You get the Customiser, and the
same 3 programs you got in EXE3 at the beginning, that be Undershirt, Attack+1
and Charge+1. You also get the Omake Folder, which once again is much crappy.

//Navi Customiser Tutorial
Yuuichiro explains that Navi Customiser programs edit the core foundation of
Rockman to give him new abilities. These programs are placed on an area called
the MemoryMAP. Your programs are placed on the map to give you uberpowers. He
first of all explains Undershirt - it's use is that if you drop to 0 HP, you
instead return to 1 HP. If you're hit at 1 HP though, you die. So be careful.
Place Undershirt in the marked position on the MemoryMap. Next, choose Attack+1
and place it to the left of Undershirt but OFF of the command line. Go place it
anywhere off the Command Line where it doesn't touch UnderShirt. Then hit RUN!
to activate the programs. He explains, however, that you can only have 4
different colours of NaviCust programs on the grid at any time. Try to place a
5th and it can malfunction. Be warned. So, to summarize.

1) You place unpatterned blocks on the Command Line.
2) You place patterned blocks off the Command Line.
3) Two blocks of the same colour must NOT touch.
4) You may only have 4 colours of block on the MemoryMAP.

And, you're set. If you wanna go buy out some shops or stuff on the net, go do
so now cause there's a nice long story sequence coming up. Also, Higure is now
selling some quite nice chips at his store. Yum. Take a looksie.

//Higure-ya
Item Code Price Quantity
SpreaderGun L 3800Z Loads
PanelReturn * 4500Z 3
LifeSynchro Q 5500Z 3
DeathMatch2 N 6800Z 1
High Cannon C 8400Z 1
Recovery120 J 10000Z 1
Long Blade G 12000Z 1
SuperVulcan V 21000Z 1 MEGA-CLASS

One last thing is that if you want Hepokko Folder back instead of Omake, an
elderly woman at the very bottom corner of Akihara Town will give it to you.
Isn't she nice? Anyways, when you're done go to the Metroline and the new
destination it provides - Cielo Castillo.

--Cielo Castillo--

Talk to Meiru-chan outside. Watch the cutscene where you both head in. She
wants you to look around. Do so. Look at every sign and door and talk to every
person. The snack cart on the lower level contains a HPMemory! When you're
done go talk to Meiru. Something's wrong with the rides, and for some reason
you're park maintenance. Plug in to the snack cart on the top level. There's a
NaviCust Program Dealer inside if you're up for some shopping, but your
primary goal while you're here is to talk to the program near the warp portal.
It will give you the P-Code. Take the portal to Park Area 1 and work head to
Park Area 2. This time take the second turn. Walk around to the red portal and
take it. Make your way to the next red portal after that.

Pass the next red portal and walk on through to Area 3 via the
main road. Take the first ramp up to get a Bug Piece from a BMD at the
top. Head back down. The second ramp leads to nowhere. The third goes down,
and the fourth goes up (and then back down). You can use the fourth to get to
the third. Either will work for this purpose, but three is better. Come down
off the third ramp and move East along the pathway to where there is a fallen
Navi. Talk to them, and then continue along the path to a control panel. Have
a look at it. Apparently three Shrimpy viruses are the cause of the problems.
Delete them and then plug out. Talk to Meiru and go talk to the attendant at
the snack bar on the lower level to get the Ice Cream she wants. Go talk to
Meiru-chan again and give her the ice cream. Netto is totally whipped, as he
follows her window shopping, next. Yadda, yadda. More cutscene. Alright,
finally back in control. Head to the lower level and go in the attraction
with a bat on the front. Talk to Meiru inside. Navigate your way trhough the
maze, but be sure to stop to look at all the stuff inside. One of the Vampires
will give you a chip! Anyhow, find your way outside. Start talking to the dude
that approaches once you emerge and--HOLY CRAP THAT CHICK HAS AN AXE!!!

MAINTENANCE TIME
Princess with an axe:
Oh, it's just an animatronic machine. Netto plugs in. Talk to the Navi to get
a ride over the water and step into the portal. Basically what you've got to
do is pick up tablet fragments and take them back to the boatman to move the
entire thing out of the way so that the boat can progress. Head right at the
first turn. Go to the far end and pick up the BMD at the end for 1400 zennys.
Go back and make the turn before it. Get the tablet that's in the bottom
corner. Take it back to the boatman. Next stop. Get off, through the portal.
Cut off left under the water part for a BMD with an HP+50 NaviCust block in it.
Go make the turn in the other direction and pick up the tablet in the top
corner. Next stop. If you can't spot the BMD here I pity you. It's just
around a bend if you make a left. Reg-Up1 inside. Head over to where the
tablets are and pick the leftmost one. You're at the end! Woo! Push the big
red button. Fight a BiriEX and a PromeroEX. All fixed.

Witch Dog:
Alright. On to the boat we go. Just keep making lefts to get that BMD you see.
A StoneCube *, it is. On your way back take the fork to the left and pick up
the tablet on the right, take it back. Next stop. Make your second right to get
an HPMemory that's hiding in a BMD. When you come to the tablets, take the one
that's the middle of the fork. Move on. Now, this time you've got to get two
tablets. Make your first left to get the BMD. This time it's a Vulcan2 B.
Choose the two middle tablets. When you get to the big red button, you're
going to have to fight two BiriEX and a MetoolEX.

Red Robot:
Its head is totally spinning. Plug in. Get on the raft. No BMDs on this first
stop. The tablets should be placed one on one side and a fork on the other.
Take the one on each end of the three tablets to the top-right. Take em back.
Hang a right to get a BMD with a Charge +1 Program in it. Make your way to the
tablets. Take the fourth, and then third in order, reading from north to south.
Stop midway on the path to battle a Garuu, GaruuEX and an Airhock. On your next
stop cut back under the ramp to get a BMD with a Reg-Up2 in it. Head around to
the other side. Take the third path heading East for the correct tablet. Push
the big red button and kill off the Garuu EX and the two Promeros. Plug out and
head into the haunted house. Wander around in the dark and plug into the
vampire.

Vampire:
Uhhhh...Netto. That's not water! Oh well. Get on the raft anyhow. First stop
has no BMDs, sadly. Stop off and get the first and third tablets (working
clockwise). One is under the bridge (your first left) and the other is at the
end of the path if you continue straight. Next stop, as you can probably
already tell, is going to be a royal pain in the arse. Come around the corner
and contnue straight on the path to the end (do not make two lefts yet!) Head
out and make a right. Run to the dead end for the BMD containing an HPMemory.
Take the bottommost tablet and place it in the tablet. The third cut-off
contains the second tablet fragment you need. Get it and take it back to the
boatman. Take the route to the East that goes under that path. Follow it
around. Take the first cut-off left for a BMD with a Recov80 J in it. Take the
second and then third cut-off and pick up their respective tablet pieces. Get
abck on the raft. it will stop and you'll have to fight a FlameLine, a
MettoolEX and a Gaia. Step off onto the platform.

You walk off and notice a distinct lack of switch. Guess who that navi was?
Shademan in disguise. He walks up and morphs into his usual self, uttering his
Ki-ki-ki-kis. He says he has a present for you.. your death, unless you hand
over the data he dropped... the Dark Chip. He lunges at you to get it and Rock
dodges, and decides if you're not going to hand it over, he'll take it back.
He needs it's power to control dark viruses... It is Nebula! It can unleash the
true darkness in navis, the power of the Dark Soul. That is why he wants the
chip. Rockman of course refuses to hand it over. Or does he? He says he'll hand
it over to Shademan, but plots with Netto... He flings it at Shademan... and
blasts it to hell with his buster. Shademan, of course, now goes mad and tries
to kill you. Yawn.

//BOSS

On your third turn of battle with Shademan, two new chips appear in the draw...
Two Dark Swords. Dark Chips. Load one up, and take careful aim. It has the
radius of a DreamSword... Slice Shademan in half with it.

After the battle, he says how weak he is and that you used his dark power
against him. He says that though he is weak to be beaten so, your power is
nothing compared to what lies ahead. He leaves you with a closing line.

"Yami no Chikara ha... omae no... kokoro no naka ni..."
"Dark power... is inside... your heart."

And after a nice farewall, he dies in an explosion that would make anybody
jealous. I wanna die like that. Then, his lifeless data dissolves into nothing.
Anyways, back at the park, the officials thank Netto for showing them up and
making them look like fools. I mean, saving them. Yes. Netto says it was
nothing and Meiru tells him not to be so modest. Then Enzan walks in. What does
HE want? x_x

Netto tells him he's a bit late, but that's not why he came. He says he came to
pick up the data, it's too dangerous to be out in the open. He says the World
Three and Gospel were lusting after it, and that Nebula must be too... He
says the Dark Chip alters the hearts of many without it even being used, the
mere wish to have it is too great. He explains that every time you use a Dark
Chip, your HP drops by 1.

Some more scheming again. Seems Shademan had the master data for the Dark Chips
but, he says, no matter.

  \\The Eagle/Hawk Tournament! |
__________________________________________________________________|

You hear a ring of the bell. Haruka asks you to answer the door. The guy is
from the Nihon Netbattle Tournament! GASPZORZ! He asks if he's talking to
Netto. Netto confirms this. He gives you... a POINT. He explains that to get
into the tournament, you have to get 50. Yes, 50. This should be fun, eh.
Basically, to enter into the Eagle Tournament, you need to collect 50
Battlers Point. That count up there shows how many you have. He says that when
you get 50, bring them to him at Cielo Castillo. Netto says he must do it to
become Japan's number one Netbattler. Rah.

Okay. It's point collecting time. The following are some locations, but we're
not about to hold your hand through all fifty, so the best you're getting is
general directions.

1 - The original guy
2 - Meiru's teddy bear
3 - Painting on Yaito's wall
4 - Bush outside of Yaito's house
6 - Dekao's GameCube
7 - Shelves at Higure-ya
8 - Yellow Bike parked at Densan Dome
9 - Westernmost Densan poster
10 - Blue Doors inside Densan Dome
11 - Kid wandering behind temporary wall
12 - Cabinet adjacent to drink machine in Densan Dome
17 - Program in NetBattle machine. Answer its questions
18 - Dude standing behind the shop outside
19 - Flyer on the front of the PET store
20 - Box with blue stuff in it behind fence gate
21 - Jormon Electronics. Where you were with Yuui before
22 - Scientist hiding behind Jo-Mon building
23 - Giant Speaker Console
24 - Fountain in front of Cielo Castillo
26 - Girl obscured by the castle
27 - Observe the skeleton pirates
30 - Old man obscured by lower level snack cart
32 - Door behind Red Robot
34 - Kid in the Haunted House
44 - Plug into the Vampire and fight the Dark Navi
47 - Red Navi through the portal adjacent to main road in Park Area 2
50 - Program in Town Area 3 at a dead end on the top level

Though you only need 50 to enter the tournament, there's the slim possibility
that you're having trouble finding some of the ones listed. Here are some
alternate locations:

+5 - Orange Navi through the first red portal will trade you for a Cannon C
+4 - Green Navi near Dekao's PC in Akihara 3 for 3000 zennys
+1 - Program in Akihara 1, near a skull door
+2 - Hidden purple navi under a bridge in Town Area 1.

Alright. Get your fifty and talk to the dude out front of the castle. He'll
give you Folder2. Check your e-mail for a YorMon shortcut and you're almost
ready to go. Just one last thing to do before it's time to head into the
tournament. Plug into the concession stand on the top level and speak to the
program there, who will give you a shortcut to your PC. Walk inside of the
castle and watch the cutsequence.

--------------------------------------\/--------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------/\--------------------------------------|
NOW, here's the deal. There's basically different paths you can get through
the tournaments. There are 6 different scenarios in each game, 2 exclusive to
each for a total of 8 scenarios. You'll be allocated a random three - so you'll
have to figure out which ones you have from the image of the navi on the
tournament listings. Good luck in the Eagle/Hawk Tournament!

a) Burn, baby, burn! |
_____________________|

Netto will talk about how big the place is. You'll then be asked by a
mysterious voice if you are battler Hikari Netto. It guides you over to the
wall where you get to see the brackets. Oh yay. Burnerman. Netto thinks and
then thinks about Burnerman... Fire? Netto then remembers the one man who loved
fire so much... Hinoken. Guess who walks in? Hinoken. Netto asks if he's the
operator of Burnerman. He says he isn't, but it's someone with almost as much
fire in his heart as he... then somebody calls Hinoken an old man who doesn't
know what he's talking about. And in walks Burnerman's operator... Homura
Atsuki. Hinoken tells him to shut up saying Fireman will kick his Burnerman's
bottom. Atsuki doesn't listen and calls him old again. A lot. Hinoken gets mad,
but Netto steps in and tries to stop the argument. After some more bickering,
Hinoken pronounces that he is the most firey netbattler in all of Japan. The
two bicker for a bit more and then leave. Netto says that Atsuki has vigor
enough to perhaps win...

Walk outside of the park and you'll get an e-mail from your mom, telling you
that someone has messed with your computer. Go home and talk to her to get a
water gun. Go upstairs and plug in to your computer, which is, for some reason,
smoking. Try leaving Netto's computer to get on the Net. Sit through the cut
sequence where RockMan rather ineffectively tries to use the water gun on the
fire blocking your path from the rest of the net, which is apparently also on
fire. Plug out and head to Higure-ya. Talk to Higure and he'll give you a
firefighting buster and give you instructions on how to use it. But we'll tell
you here anyhow.

Putting out fires:
1. Walk up to a fire and push A.
2. A cutscene will appear with Rockman standing with a cannon (=P) on his arm
   aimed at the fire.
3. A gauge will appear and a blue bar inside will move up and down.
4. Push B to stop it.
5. The higher you stop it, the more of the fire RockMan will put out.
6. If you stop it all the way at the top the gauge will flash and Rockman will
put out all the fire at once.
7. If you fail to get rid of all the fire in one try RockMan will catch on fire
and you'll be drained 5 HP. Then you get a second chance at the remaining
   fire.

Fire Locations/Amount:
Akihara 1: 4
Park 1: 5
Park 2: 3
Park 3: 4

Go back to your house and up to Netto's room. Walk up to his computer and
press A. RockMan will plug in, and you'll be standing in the same spot as
before. Run through the main path and put out the four fires on the road.
RockMan will note that the net seems to be back to normal and will plug out.

Head to Cielo Castillo. Try to walk in the castle... OH CRAP! THE SNACK BAR IS
ON FIRE! Plug in to the concession stand and get on the net. The first fire is
blocking your path. It should be hard to miss. Put it out. Head straight past
the main road and the broken road adjacent to it. Put out that fire. Now,
backtrack and head around the path that you'd normally take to get to Park
Area 2. There should be three additional sets of fire there. Head on to Area 2.
Head through the portal, and here, again, put out the obvious fire. Work
through to the next portal and go through. On the other side hang a right to
put out a fire. Walk through to the next portal. On the other side walk make
your way to Area 3 by hopping on the main road. Put out the fire blocking your
path and head to Area 3. Grah! Another fire so quickly. Put it out. Go up the
third ramp and make your way to where you went to fix the control panel during
the ShadeMan scenario. Put out both fires in your way, before you get to a big
one at the end! Hey! That's FireMan and BurnerMan! Perhaps RockMan was right!
Duh. Well, anyhow, put out those fires and step in for a cutscene.

Oh look. Fireman and Burnerman arguing their asses off again. -_-; They're
arguing again about who is more firey. Look, can't you just agree that you have
different coloured flames and must agree to differ or something? There's no
real substance in their wittering, really. They start setting stuff on fire by
standing still. Wow. Netto tells the two to stop it. Atsuki starts calling
Hinoken old again. More fire. Rockman jumps in between them, but they KEEP
arguing. Netto asks Rock what to do. Rock, in the end, just ends up insulting
the both of them to stop them arguing with each other. Atsuki says they'll get
you yet, and Burnerman plugs out. Hinoken insults Netto, but Netto just says he
was doing it to stop him arguing. Hinoken understands and plugs Fireman out.

Alright. That was dandy. Head into the castle and get ready to rock. it's
BurnerMan smashing time.

//BOSS

Operator: Atsuki Prize: None
Movement: Teleports around arena erratically.

Attacks:
Flamethrower (40): Burnerman shoots a flamethrower at you. Range: 3.
Burner Charge (40): Burner man shoots his flame buster near his feet and
fires as he slides horizontally across one row.

Two flamethrowers from BurnerMan's side will slide onto the column you're on
and shoot fire at you. They do 40 damage apiece and can not be fired through.

Once you defeat Burnerman, Fireman's operator, Hinoken, will laugh at him from
the crowd. Atsuki gets pretty angry about that and decides it's a good idea to
try and torch the battle console, but winds up lighting himself on fire
instead. Idiot. Cut back to reality. Before you leave, plug into the NetBattle
console and head left to the corner for a BMD with an HPMemory inside. Go down
to the lobby to meet your next challenger.

Netto will talk about how big the place is. You'll then be asked by a
mysterious voice if you are battler Hikari Netto. It guides you over to the
wall where you get to see the brackets. Hrm. Videoman. Yummy. I've heard very
bad things about this section so... urk. This should be fun to write. x_x
Anyways, back to reality, someone is calling for you. They then make a very
dramatic entrance from above. Christ all mighty...

This person then talks about their "perfect beauty". God, I'll ruin your beauty
in a second. *punches* Netto asks who they are. They announce themselves as the
greatest in all of Japan, and the operator of Videoman, Narcy Hide. Netto
sounds a bit shocked, and Rockman asks what's up, Netto just says it's a weird
name. Narcy comments that that wasn't the reaction he was looking for. Trying
to get out of the situation by saying it was just due to the tension, but then
asks how such a 'star' like him could participate in such a 'war' operating
Videoman. Netto, you're getting on my nerves. Anyways, Narcy says he must do
it for his old navi who was deleted. His old navi wanted to win more than
anything else, and when he was deleted Narcy took that winning fire. He wants
to become as famous on the net as on TV - with the help of Videoman. And to do
that, he must beat you. Gasp. He then walks out.

Anyways, the moment he walks out Netto thinks something was up. Narcy said to
Videoman that he must show his number one powers in Park Area 2... by deleting
everything. Wonderful. Plug into the stall cart and head into Park Area 1.

--Internet--

Take the path towards Area 2 and you'll see Videoman by the entrance. Run up to
him and automatic scene time. Rockman asks him if he's Videoman - he confirms
Rock's suspicions. Narcy tells Videoman to delete Rock, but Rock's not having
it. Netto calls the pair a rather naughty word, and Narcy says he's about to
prove that Netto is the... word he just called Narcy. Family-friendly FAQs
brought to you by Galaxy&Hion. Ahem, anyways, Netto tells Rock to be careful,
and Videoman shows Rockman his powers and... pauses the video. Rock can't move.
Videoman then stuffs you into rewind. Videoman says that's a taste of his power
and Rockman goes to run up to him... and goes backwards. Nice going thar. He
sends 3 videos across the net...

One to Park Area 3. One to Town Area 2. And the last to Akihara Area 2. Narcy
seemingly plans to incapacitiate you on the net whilst he goes to the
tournament, and unless you show up... he wins. And you can't stay like that,
so... You have to prove him wrong, get the tapes, go back to normal AND get to
the tournament in time. Fun. Well, with your backwards controls (Left is right
and vice versa, up is down and vice versa), run through to Park Area 3. Now,
when you get to Area 3... eheh, this is the fun bit. Ya see those black panels
with blue arrows on? That's a rewind panel. Step on that and you get sent
flying back quite a ways to the beginning of the area. Basically, you need to
avoid them.

Head up the fourth ramp and take the path up there. Head left and take the
one-way path through into the 'main' part of the lower area. Head all the way
to the right and up the path, avoiding the rewind panel. Continue up, ignoring
the turnings off to the left and continue up the path, avoiding the next rewind
panel ye come to. You'll soon come to a gauntlet of 3 rewind panels. Step
carefully through them and pick up the tape that's there. Run back and step on
one of the rewind panels to throw you back to the entrance. Now then, run all
the way back(wards. Har.) to Town Area 3, and then from there back to Area 2.
Backwards. Thanks to that goddamn Videoman. Worry not, ya get to kill him
mercilessly later.

Anyways, Town Area 2. More rampant goddamn rewind panel. Head through slowly
till you reach the ramp onto the upper level, then make a nice turn to the
left and take the warp onto the nice square on the lower level. Take either way
round, you start in the bottom corner, the tape is in the top, but avoid those
goddamn rewind panels like they are the plague. On your way back down, hit a
replay panel to be warped to the Area 1 entrance. Follow the path back into
Akihara Area 3, then into Area 2. Avoid the replay panel in front of you. Take
the white path to the north, and head straight to the right, ignoring the
turnings and avoiding those goddamn replay panels. The last tape is opposite
the locked door.

After grabbing the third video, Rockman then activates the tapes and returns to
normal. Thank goodness. Cut to the tourney. The referee says that in 5 minutes
she'll have to declare Netto as the loser by forfeit, and asks Narcy if that
is okay. Narcy asks why on earth he would decline to go through automatically.
Videoman then Style Changes (O_O?!?!?!) into DigitalVideoMan. Narcy then
shouts "Fantastic!". In English. In a Japanese game. WONDERFUL. Count Elec II,
it seems. Now quick, plug out, and run back into the castle!

--Cielo Castillo/Eagle Tournament--

The five minutes are almost up and the ref checks if the auto-win is okay with
Narcy one last time. 10 seconds to go... Narcy begins a countdown. 5, 4, 3...
"CHOTTO MATTAAAAA!!" Netto shouts, rushing in. You're just in time! Out of
breath, but safe. Battler Hikari Netto is here! He runs in and says to Narcy
that the winner of this battle will be him! Narcy says he didn't know how you
got out of Videoman's 'curse', but he'll walk away the victor anyways. Hikari
Netto vs... Engedezan? Narcy cuts in and says his name is NARCY HIDE! Anyways
second time lucky... battle start!

//BOSS
  \\Videoman.EXE
HP: 800 Element: Normal
Operator: Narcy Hide Prize: No Data
Movement: Teleports around arena erratically.

Attacks:
Tape: Videoman summons tape in both front rows to block attacks. Cannot
generate if any spaces are occupied.
Circle Tape: Summons a 2x2 row of tape that deals 20 damage. Move out of it
quickly to avoid being hit a potential two times.
Rewind: Videoman summons a Rockman to use WideSword (80 damage) or Tornado
(8 hits of 10 damage) on you.
Fast Forward: Videoman teleports around twice as quickly.
Index Rewind: Videoman teleports around twice as slowly, but regenerates HP
                  over time.

Ya won. I hope. Annoying, Videoman, when you're trying to record the damage of
all his attacks. 60+80+80 = adds up quickly. x_x Anyways, you win. Crowd cheers
Yay. Narcy asks what's going on, he cannot lose! Videoman curses that "Damn
navi", which Narcy promptly imitates. Thrice. Videoman blames Narcy's
operating technique, but Narcy says he was at fault. The referee gets fed up
and asks the loser to leave the platform. But not before Netto shouts at Narcy
and says he has the potential to become the best, but not the attitude. Narcy
is offended and stamps off. Stupid fool had it coming. Anyways, you regain
control at last. Plug into the machine and grab the HPMemory in the left-hand
corner before leaving the pedestal and heading back inside.

Referee girl starts talking about your ubar skills just like blondie did in the
first tournament. You're gooood.

c) NetMafia at it Again |
________________________|

So this lumbering oaf walks up to you. The meathead introduces himself as Riki
(we know he's dumb 'cause he has no pupils), and his navi Crusher. They're your
opponent. Walk outside and watch a cut scene with Riki talking to some old hag
with pink hair. He's looking pretty glum, so when Netto inquires Riki explains
that the NetMafia has kidnapped his Navi, Crusher. Head to the lower level of
the park for another cutscene with the old chick hitting on some dude with a
big forehead. Or perhaps they were just talking so excessvely loud so that
you could hear that Crusher was being held captive in Park Area 3. Damned old
people need some hearing aids. Head back up to the top level and plug into the
concession stand. Get onto the Internet and notice that the NetMafia is
everywhere. Too much trouble to design a Navi of their own so they just took
some evil ones and painted them black. Anyhow, all you've got to know here is
to run by the guys when they're not looking. Get caught and the little buggers
will send you back to the beginning of the area. I see many soft resets in
your future. Anyhow, here are some steps:

Area 1:
1. From the starting point, head down the ramp.
2. There's a guy on the East side patrolling back and forth. Wait for him to
   turn around/walk away and go.
3. Run back around and stop under the ramp. Wait for a black navi to show up at
the next intersection and then leave. If you don't wait he'll see you as
   you're coming.
4. Stop at the next bend in the road and wait for the dude that's there to walk
   off-screen.
5. Come back along that path and stop under/near the ramp once more. There's
the guy you just watched walk away. But at the tip of the U there's a guy
waiting in the cut-off. He won't move, just turn around. Head around the
   bend when he's faced West.
6. Make a run for it. Stop when the road straightens out.
7. Don't worry about the dude coming, just hold your position. Wait for him to
turn around and face the other direction and begin to walk. When he's down
that path you're free until area 2. Go for it.

Area 2:
1. Step through the red portal.
2. On the other side, come around the far bend but go slowly. There's a guy
camping at the end of the first turn. Wait for him to face south and run
around the corner into the portal.
3. As you come out the other side be careful. Wait for a black Navi to walk up
to the end of the intersection you're about to head into. When he faces
   north make your move.
4. Head to the top of the U and wait for a black Navi to show up. When he turns
the other direction run for it.
5. Keep running and take the red portal.
6. Wait for the black Navi on thsi side to walk into the bend, but stop just
as you pass it. He's going to walk to the end of it and if you keep going
he'll see you. Wait for him to turn around again and run to the next
   platform.
7. There's a black Navi at the end of the platform but he shouldn't pose a
threat. MAke a right and get on the main road to Area 3.

Area 3:
1. Get on the third ramp. Go slowly, as there's a guy at the dead end in the
second ramp that's turning different directions. Wait for him to face away
and head down to the bottom of the next ramp.
2. Move up slowly. There should be a guy heading your way but he maybe
concealed by a ramp. Accursed tricky Capcom. Anyhow, wait for him to turn
onto the ramp heading north and walk past him, but not too far past him.
3. Wait for another Navi that should be near that intersection to turn and
walk away from you. Follow behind him and take the cut-off to the right.
4. Free at last! Walk up to the cage and start the cutscene when you're ready.

Brilliant. For some reason you've decided that blowing the hell out of this
cage is going to somehow remedy your problem. Well, sure enough it does. And it
makes a damn loud racket in the process. Crusher plugs out and you decide that
its a good idea to stay and fight the mafia. Honestly, what are you thinking?
Did you forget your pills this morning? Anyhow, engage the Navis in a fight,
who magically turn purple once you're battling them. It's just two of your
generic mini-bomb throwing Evil Navis with 100 HP apiece and a Visass. Defeat
them and then plug out. Go back and talk to Riki. Two goons will walk up
(presumably the commanders of those Navis of whom you just beat the pants off)
and threaten you. But then they totally get owned by the old chick. Pretty
sweet.

Head up stairs and get ready to beat Crusher.

//SUB-BOSS

AreaSteal: Navi has one use of AreaSteal. 10 damage if it hits.
Raining Stones (50): Drops two stones onto the field randomly.
Virus Summon: Can summon various viruses to the field.

Beat Crusher. Winners are announced. You know the routine by now.

d) Battle of Cooking! Culinary Battle Skill! |
_____________________________________________|

Oh yay, of all the original and exciting opponents you can get, you end up with
a Generic Navi. Caloo calay. Netto comments that to get this far with a Normal-
type Navi is quite impressive. Rockman wonders if Netto is up to it, but he
calms his doubts saying that together they're an unbeatable team. Yeah, we know
you're unbeatable. You're the main characters. If you're beaten, you just sorta
reload yourself to five minutes ago as if it never happened. Anyways, in walks
the operator of the navi. A little... kid. A cook kid, to boot. He says that
he will defeat you with his culinary battle skills. Ah.. yeah. Right. Culinary
battle skills. Netto is weirded out, but the kid continues spouting out about
his awesome culinary skill, and that whilst his navi is horridly generic, he is
'the man'. With a goddamn stupid hat. He introduces himself as Yamakare Ajita.
I'll just call him Ajita from now on. He says good luck, you'll need it, and
walks off. Netto remains weirded out. I can't blame him.

Anyways, head out and onto the lower level of Cielo Castillo. You'll see Ajita
running some stupid stall. He announces that it is his cooking machine. He says
that he will demonstrate the power of his navi with this machine - all you need
to do is walk up and press a button. Yeah. He says that his awesome combination
of skill between him and his navi makes this 'automated' cooking process simple
He says that he'd like to demonstrate his machine and asks for a volunteer to
try it out.. An old man walks up saying he has tasted the best curries in Japan
and asks him if he thinks this can make better. He says it can. He tests it and
seemingly his soul flying up indicates it's heavenly. It's 'delicious', he says
so... riiight.

Anyways, everyone walks off and Netto asks to have a go. He says his mother's
curry is godly and says nothing can beat it. Ajita says he has no taste. He
says that unless he can appreciate good food, he will never win their cooking
battle (SHUT UP, AJIIITAAA!!!) Anyways, when the sequence ends head back up to
the top area. You then get an e-mail from 'Cooking Master' asking you to meet
him in Park Area 2. He provides a code to get to there, so, plug into the
concession stand and head into Park Area!

--Internet--

From Park Area 1, head directly into Area 2. Take the portal across, making
your way through 2 portals. until you reach a blue gate near the third. Open it
using your new code. Talk to the navi standing by the pot. He is the Cooking
Master's navi, apparently. He says that they are standing in front of the wok
for the Cooking Machine. He says he has come to test Rockman's cooking skills.
Rockman's a little unsure about going along with it, but Netto says it's fine.
And so, you have to play a game with 'cooking data' to make good curry. Yeaaah.
Examine the pot to begin a minigame.

Basically, press B to cut the vegetables and A to kick the mettaurs out the pot
really. Also, one other thing that's important is that you musn't chop the red
fruits. This minigame is VERY annoying so you'll probably be stuck for a while
until you can actually complete it. Right, when you do, head through to Park
Area 3. Head through to where the Control Panel was before you had to fix the
robots - it's at the very top of the lower level. Save, then talk to the black
navi and prepare for a 3-battle sequence that goes a little like this...

Battle 1: 2x Magtect, EbironEX
Battle 2: BiriEX, MettoolEX, EbironEX
Battle 3: 2x Ebiron, EbironEX

When you're done with that, head back to old Cooking Master navi guy and talk
to him. In a short scene, he thanks you for helping him with the Cooking
Machine. He reveals that he's the navi of the old man and stuff, and talks of
his awesome knowledge of curry and cookery. Nothing really interesting, to be
honest, and that's saying something with me. Heh. Anyways, after the convo is
finished, plug out and head back down to the lower level of Cielo Castillo.

It's cooking battle time. You. That annoying kid. COOKING BATTTLLEEEE!!!! And
you must make Curry Rice! :<> And it seems the old man is the judge. And in
walks the challenger, Hikari Netto. Same minigame as before, just a tad harder,
really. Go for it. The two challengers both say how they're gonna win before
the cooking battle begins!

Same rules as before. Ignore the red fruits, chop the veggies (and chocolate on
the last round) with B and hit the Mets out with A. If you lose, the old man
will walk between you, and you get to retry. You'll know if you've won if you
see him walking over to Ajita. He declares that Ajita's curry is delicious...
and explodes. He then proclaims it's wonderful and one of the best curries in
all of Japan. Then he goes to taste yours. Apparently it's so good it makes him
think of his old dead wive. And see visions of her. Riiight. That's... yeah.
Anyways, you win, according to the old man. Ajita thinks it's all crap and
demands a retry. The old man says he just doesn't have the skills. He doesn't
believe it and says he's the best, says he'll get you, then runs off crying.
Head on into the castle to begin the battle!

Optional: The very very long dead end in the lower area of Park Area 3 contains
the ghost of Videoman - VideoManV2. If you feel you can handle his 1100 HP,
head over there and punch him up for a VideoMan V chip.

Anyways, heading over to the pedestal the referee is wondering where you are.
You enter first to a standing ovation from the crowd (^_^!), quickly followed
by Ajita. He says that in this battle, unlike the other one, you are going down
low! Netto says that with Rock's skills and his battle technique, he's not
going to lose this battle. And with that exchange out the way, the battle will
begin! Netto vs. Ajita!

//BOSS
  \\Normal Navi Upgrade
HP: 800 Element: Normal
Operator: Ajita Yamakawa Prize: No Data
Movement: Teleports around arena at an average pace.

Attacks:
Hi-Cannon: Shoots a slow cannon shot at you for 60 damage.
WideBlade: Slashes you with a WideSword for 90 damage.
Quenka: Turns the user invincible for a few seconds every now and again.
            Terrain obstacle. Can be destroyed.
FlashBlind: Rockman becomes blind and cannot see the opponent or terrain
                obstacles.
CrossBomb: Throws a cross-shaped bomb at you for 50 damage.
Toppuu: User is constantly blown towards their back row.
Mysterious Flute: Wasn't sure what it did. No noticeable effect?

Anyways, Netto beats up the normal navi and Ojita's a liittle annoyed that he
lost. Ya think? Netto asks Ojita why he battles. He says that right now, he
cannot hope to battle unless he finds a reason to do so. Cookery and battle do
not mix. Netto says he should focus his aim on becoming the Cooking Master!
Ojita says he's right. He forgot his aim in life. Netto says that's what he
should work for, and Ojita realises he's right. Rockman wishes him luck, and
Ojita says thank you to Netto before leaving. He says that he will become the
Cooking Master... he then leaves. Rockman says the kid should go far, and Netto
agrees. You can leave now.

The announcer announces that the finals are coming up! Hikari Netto... vs...

e) A Picnic for Two |
____________________|

Head outside. You've got mail! It's from Saloma. Meet her in the park. Netto
runs up and an automated scene occurs. A picnic basket appears out of
nowhere and the two have a picnic. Netto comments that Saloma makes the best
picnics. Why don't ya just ask her out already, kid? Saloma thanks him, anyways
and Netto's stomach rumbles. Saloma comments about his rudeness. -_-; Screen
fades to black and they do naughty things in the bushes... Just kidding. They
eat their picnic, and Netto thanks Saloma, until two guys walk up. They look
over to the park, talk amongst themselves for a bit then walk off. Saloma gets
an e-mail and heads off to Densan. She asks you to meet her there, so off you
go! Head to Densan Town Area 3 for another cut sequence with Saloma. Yadda
yadda, more conversation. Go to the MetroLine and take it to Densan Dome. Get
off and make your way to the NetBattling room. After you plug in go talk to the
Navi in the right corner of the console. You will have to fight a Magbolt, 2x
Walrus. Defeat him and you'll get some more mail from Saloma. Plug out.

Go to Cielo Castillo and talk to Saloma again. After the cut sequence, plug
into the food stall. Get on the net and head for where you saw Woodman: Park
Area 3. Watch the cut sequence which shamelessly incorporates old MMBN graphics
Just run past the wood when it's down. It's relatively easy to recognize the
different patters (rows of spikes moving in waves, coming up in multiples but
then staying down for a bit). You get the drift. Every time you get hit, though
it's going to hake 30 HP off your total. Just make your way to the end of Area
3 where the control panel is and talk to WoodMan. A brief chat with Woodman
reveals he's been doing all this because he thought Saloma didn't care for him
anymore. Rock says she's worried about him, but he doesn't believe it. A
generic navi of Saloma's comes up and confirms this, but Woodman takes this as
thinking he's been replaced by said generic navi, and deletes it. Urk. He
plugs out and then you plug out. Go talk to Saloma again, then head inside.

//BOSS
  \\Woodman.EXE
HP: 700 Element: Wood
Operator: Saloma Prize: Trophy
Movement: Hops around arena slowly.
Attacks:
Hop (30): WoodMan jumps and wood logs roll out from the back of his area.
They span two spaces vertically and one horizontally. Generally comes
       in pairs.
Spikes (40): Woodman leans over and three to four spikes come out of the
ground in your area. Can link these together.
Nuts (10): Woodman shoots three nuts one after another.

Woo! Win the tournament! Get your trophy! All is fine and good, right? No.
Panic music time! Check your e-mail from Yuui, which tells you about WoodSoul,
and then head down the steps and plug in to the NetBattle Console.

Skip to the final section of this chapter.

g) Racket of the Wind God! |
___________________________|

So, seems your next bracket is against Windman, eh. Lucky you. I realllllllyyyy
want Wind Soul so it seems I was lucky to get this route on my first play. XD
Anyways, the operator of Windman is a young girl called Ran. Not Ran Cossack,
mind. Anyways, you have a conversation with her in the waiting hall and the
standard old wishing of wells.

After leaving, head down into the lower area and you'll see Ran being plagued
by that vampire robot again. oO. Screaming for help, she asks you to save her
so plug in and take the boat to the very end of the lava where Shademan was
once before. Eliminate the MettoolEX, Visass and Toppuu viruses there and then
plug out. She thanks you. Yaay. Head back, anyways, and leave the park. Upon
reaching the fountain outside you get an e-mail from Haruka calling you back
home, and it seems you're being spied upon by Windman's operator. Interesting,
eh?

Anyways, take the metroline back to ACDC and head home. Haruka appears to be
running around like she's possessed or something. Talk to her and she welcomes
Netto home. Netto asks for some food. Haruka is... a little eh. Is that all he
thinks about, I hear her ask? Netto then says he got her e-mail so he headed
home, but he's hungry from the tournament. Haruka laughs. Haruka says her
problem is sorted now, anyways. After a filling meal, Netto thanks Haruka for
the meal and she says it's no problem. And just then, there's a ring on the
doorbell... Netto goes to open it, before the person butts in... It be Ran-san!

She mentions that she is from Shisa Island and says that Windman has gone
berserk! Apparently Windman isn't used to the nets here and the lack of strong
winds has made him go wild. He's terrorizing the nets with winds, and she has
the only item that can calm him but... she has no means of using it. She asks
Netto if he can go and save Windman, and he says that there's no way he'd let
her lose in the tournament without a fight! She thanks Netto so much and hands
him the Wind Flute key item. Now, there's no time to lose! Head to Cielo
Castillo, and plug into the concession stand on the top level and head to Park
Area!

--Internet--

There appears to be raging winds covering the entire area... An innocent
program is walking along and gets blown away by a tornado... Ouchies. Basically
you need to be heading to Area 3 whilst avoiding being blown away by the winds.
Also, in battle, you'll have constant random wind effects - you'll either be
pushed forwards or back, and the same for the enemies. This could make hitting
quite difficult - especially if like me you're using a Close Range folder that
relies on DreamSword.

Anyways, make your way through the winds to Park Area 3. Windman is by the
control panel on the lower level - reached through a sheer gauntlet of speedy
tornadoes! Upon reaching him, he continues his berserk laugh but Rock pulls out
the wind flute and plays it... the winds die and Windman returns to normal.
Windman asks where he is. Rockman says he was sent by Ran to calm him. He asks
if he was misusing his power and apologizes for doing something so wrong. He
says that "this Windman does not deserve the power he has been given." He says
thank you to Rockman, and Hikari Netto, and Netto says it was nothing. He says
he should hurry and plug out so the tournament can begin. Netto then plugs out.
Head inside the castle and talk to Ran.

She thanks Netto for saving Windman. He said it was nothing, the Wind Flute and
Rockman were the ones who saved him, not him. Netto gives the flute back to Ran
and thanks her for trusting him with it. Netto is called up to the pedestal,
and he says bye to Ran for now, and good luck in their battle. She then goes
mad again. x_x.

Back at the pedestal, the referee announces that coming to Japan all the way
from Shisa Island, their top Netbattler... Battler Wujyu Ran! And she's still
in mad mode. Or is it drunk? She appears to be hiccuping. o_O Ran continues
spewing out incoherent nonsense before the referee asks her to plug in Windman.
Hikari Netto vs. Ran!

//BOSS
  \\Windman.EXE

HP: 800 Element: None
Operator: Ran Prize: Wind Soul
Movement: Teleports around arena erratically.

Attacks:
Flying Eagles: Sends eagles down each row, one after the other. Move into
an already-passed row to dodge. 40 damage.
Toppuu: Rockman is blown constantly towards the back of his area.
Homing Tornado: Sends two tornado-generating bits, which home in on Rock
slowly, like the old Ratton chips, and can turn once. 40dmg
Squall: Rockman is constantly pulled towards the front of his area.
Swarm Eagles: Uses Flying Eagles repeatedly in a swarm. 40 damage.
Boomerang Tornado: Sends out tornados that loop around Rockman to prevent
him avoiding other attacks. 50 damage.

You win. Eventually. That was one tough battle due to that accursedly accursed
little Toppuu/Squall effect. x_x I had to use a CrackOut on the middle of my
area and stay in front of it so I couldn't be moved. Heh. Anyways, after the
battle, Rockman asks Windman if he's alright. He confirms that he's not hurt.
He thanks Rockman for an excellent battle. Rockman says that Windman is very
powerful, and that his heart is true. Rockman's soul resonates with the power
of Windman! Wind Soul get! Netto then asks what was wrong with Ran's battle
operation... She wasn't really... doing much. All of a sudden she reverts back
to normal. x_x PLOT DEVICE. She then wonders where she is. Netto informs her
she's in the battle area and the match is over. She lost. She says next time
they battle she'll try not to flip out. -_-;

And the winner of the Eagle Tournament, Hikari Nettoooo!! And so, Battler
Hikari Netto wins the trophy. And lo, descends from the staircase a man
carrying your trophy! Hey look, it's the same guy from the Densan Tournament.
For being the winning battler, you get the Middle Trophy! And so you go to
leave... And then you hear a voice, calling Rockman. It's from Nebula. He says
that Shademan was nothing compared to his power, and he wishes to test you lest
a rather large number of people in this place die. The Netbattle machine rises
up again... You have a job to do. Edit your folder if you wish to make Wind
Soul accessible, then plugeth the in!

Skip to the final section of this chapter.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So LaserMan is totally like "Yo what's up, bitches." And AquaMan or GutsMan
pops in and he's like "Wasssssssaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!?!" and then Rockman is like
"WASSSSSAAA!" but then LaserMan is totally like, "Okay guys, chill. This isn't
a 90s Budweiser commercial." But honestly, folks. It turns out that Laserman is
working for the Dark Chip group Nebula. He introduces himself and says that
he is no normal navi. He says he has come to delete Rockman and get the data
back. And that his power is much greater compared to that of Shademan's. He
says that he can unleash the dark power within your heart... the DARK SOUL!
Aquaman or Gutsman (depending on version) warps in trying to help Rockman...
But he just ends up helping the enemy. Laserman shouts his command "Embody!!
DARKSOUL!" and Rockman's dark side is seperated from him... and it fuses into
AquaMan/Gutsman! He goes to delete Rockman despite his pleas.... Let's go!

//BOSS (Blue Moon)
  \\Aquaman.EXE DS

HP: 700 Element: Aqua
Operator: Laserman.EXE Prize:
Movement: Teleports around arena erratically.

Attacks:
AquaBuster (40): Shoots you with an aqua buster that goes two squares
forward and explodes one square behind where it lands.
Minibomb (40): Like a minibomb but aqua element. Cracks any panel it hits.
Twin Faucets (40): Two faucets appear on the top and bottom rows at the
front of his area and shoot water two squares forward, in sequence.
Aquaman also uses various chips during this fight.

//BOSS (Red Sun)
  \\Gutsman.EXE DS

HP: 700 Element: None
Operator: Laserman.EXE Prize: No Data.
Movement: Teleports around arena erratically.

Attacks:
Stop & Drop: Drops stones onto his opponent, and cracks one random panel.
                 20 damage.
Rapid Fire: Fires multiple buster shots straight forward. Range of 3
                10 damage/hit
Guts Punch: Punches one square in front. 20 damage.
Gutsman also uses various chips during this fight.

So, Aquaman/Gutsman be very dead-looking. Laserman says he'll recover soon,
the Dark Soul will wear off. However, next time Laserman says that he won't be
going so easy on you as to use such a powerless vessel for the Dark Soul. He
sends the Dark Soul back into your heart, before warping out. Aquaman/Gutsman
plugs out. Rockman thinks about what his dark power could do to other navis if
used like that. He is worried... Netto says that if the Dark Soul arises again
then they, together will fight it off. And that's a promise!

  \\Shootdown! Captured in Ameroupe! |
__________________________________________________________________|

--ANSA HQ--

Dr. Hikari welcomes everybody to the shooting of the laser. He says that
everyone has put their heart and soul into this, and it will go well! Some
people begin to doubt, but Violet says they'll only need one shot with the
laser to make everything okay! After some mutterings, Rigale asks Hikari to
push the button and fire that laser! Everything starts up well. It charges to
80% power.. 95%.. 99%... 100%! 110%!! The building starts to shake from all
the power that has built up... The laser reaches 150% power... 170%... Hikari
says it'll fire at 200%... 180%! 190%! 200%! It fires, and Hikari fu-s...
Blondy asks what's wrong. Hikari says they over-estimated and should have fired
at 120%. In other words, they missed. But they SHOULDN'T HAVE. Hikari says that
he calculated perfectly that 200% was correct. Hikari leaves.

Rigale comments on something, and the crisis music cuts. Meanwhile, in Akihara
Area 2, the navis are all chatting. Roll says Meiru was screaming like a girl
back a whiles at the killer robots, and Meiru tells Roll to shut it. XD Some
navi comes up looking for Rockman. He's from the WORLD NETBATTLE ASSOCIATION!
Gaspzorz! He says that the final netbattle tournament will be held on the
grand stage... Ameroupe! The Blue Moon/Red Sun Tournament will be held there,
to showcase the potential of the world's greatest netbattlers! Rah!

Rock asks about it, and he says it's the greatest, the most fabulous, the best!
The [Insert Version Here] Tournament! Netto asks how he's going to GET to
Ameroupe, but the Navi says he'll get free tickets. Netto comments on how lucky
he is. ^_^ He says he'll need to check with Yuui and Haruka first though and
get his passport renewed. The navi then gives him his tickets and leaves.

The next day, Netto is uber-excited about going to Ameroupe for the tournament.
I think he forgot that last time he went there all his key items, passport,
money and chips were stolen. Silly kid. Anyways, go downstairs and say goodbye
to Haruka. If you wanna do anything on the net or around Densan, do so NOW,
because Ameroupe gets a little weird shortly into the scenario. When you're
ready, head to the new area marked on the Metroline Map - Densan Airport. And
from there, head to the only available destination! Ameroupe!

--Ameroupe--

You get an e-mail from the World Netbattle guys. It says to get ready for
Netbattling and to practice up, because the tournament is imminent! Talk to
the guy with the afro on the left to get a Net Passport. Hoorah. It'll let you
access new net areas.

Recommended but Optional: If you like, head back to Japan and Akihara Town, and
check out Akihara Area 2. That navi blocking the blue path for most of the game
will now get out your way. But WAIT! Before you head in go purchase an Unlock
subchip from the dealer on the lower level of Ciello Castillo. Anyhow, as we
were saying... Welcome to Ajiina Area, the gateway between Ameroupe and Densan!
A purple navi hidden under a path over to the left of your entrance will sell
you Wing Parts, the final part of the C-Slider, for 4000Z. If you haven't got
the cash, GET IT.

A quick recap on the C-Slider, btw.
1) Buy Board Parts off a hidden navi on the lower level of Town 2 for 2000Z.
2) Buy Jet Parts off a hidden navi on the lower level of Park 3 for 3000Z
3) Buy Wing Parts off a hidden navi in Ajiina Area for... 4000Z.
4) Get the C-Slider in Shaaro Area!

A BMD to the north of the area also contains a RegularUP 2 for you. Following
the green path along will eventually lead you to Ameroupe Area. A shop to the
right of this area contains...

///Ameroupe Area Shop

Item Code Price Quantity
HPMemory 6000Z 1
HPMemory 10000Z 1

Relic Form R 8800Z 2
StealPunish P 9500Z 1

There's also a HPMemory (BMD) on a dead end to the left of the lower area. A
warp to the top of the upper area leads to Sharro Area. A warp on the right of
the lower level leads to Africk Area. Heading into Sharro first, you'll find it
to be a literal maze. Work yourself over to the left-hand corner of the main
platform by avoiding the conveyer belts. Take the northmost conveyer belt that
leads OFF the platform and work your way around to the bottom, where there's a
BMD with a HPMemory and a dead end when you take the conveyer belt there. It'll
also lead you to a blue gate which will open if you pay it 500Z, and behind it
is a female navi who, if you've talked to the navi in the extra area of Shaaro
Area (reached through Africk), and have all 3 C-Slider Parts, will give you,
free, the C-Slider! Use your unlocker chip to get the PMD by the Orange Navi
while you're there. Anywho, you now have a much wider range of access on the
net, so we'll give you a recap of what we can find in a second. As for Africk
Area, the only thing of note is a BMD containing Barrier100 W towards the
center of the bottom level, which you can access from your current position.
However, going through Africk Area will lead you to the other part of Sharro
Area which doesn't contain much for now except access to the Ula-Net.

C-Slider: Access!

///Town Area 2
By the entrance to Town Area 2 is a C-Slider path, which leads you conveniently
to the exit by Town Area 3. Nothing more than a shortcut, really.

///Town Area 3
Another shortcut. Once again, nothing really fantabulous, to be honest. While
you're around, though, head to the lower level and pick up Yomoa Sensor off a
purple navi in the rectangular shaped area.

///Park Area 2
Leads to a small platform with a HPMemory.

///Park Area 3
C-Slider path leads to a BMD containing a MegaFolder1 and a shop... a BugPiece
shop!

//Park Area 3 BugPiece Shop

//Ajiina Area
Leads to a small platform containing a Locked Mystery Data.

//Africk Area
Leads to a large platform with a BMD that holds the Jungle Land NaviCust block!

//Shaaro Area Extend
Leads to the entrance to the Undernet. You don't wanna go there yet. Trust me.
It's very, very very goddamn evil. However, if you want to venture in, there's
an ExpansionMemory for the NaviCust in Area 2, and there's a small shop in Area
1 selling HPMems, Heavy Gauge, Quick Gauge, Super Kitakaze and Noise Storm. I
will detail it later. I promise.

Anyways, when you're done with the C-Slider and mucking about, we can take
ourselves back to Ameroupe!

--Ameroupe--

Head to Ameroupe and talk to the old man by the cafe. He'll throw you into a
battle with 2 Walrus viri and a Gaia for no apparent reason. oO. A woman near
the cafe will sell you a tourists guide for 1000Z (though by saying no you can
wittle her price down by quite a nice amount) which does literally nothing
but you have to buy it to move on. x_x. Plug into the angel statue across
the stream and pick up the BMD inside containing a Recovery150 Z. Head into the
second area through the path by the Metroline. There's a few people to talk to
here including Aquaman's operator? A 10-chip trader lies here, but the most
important thing to do is plug into the chariot statue and grab the BMD
containing an ExpansionMemory for the NaviCust. If you managed to get the one
in the Undernet I mentioned earlier, that gives you a full 5x5 NaviCust! Talk
to everyone you can then talk to the afro dude back in the first area.

He says hi to you. He also says that with the Red Sun Tournament coming up,
things should be exciting! Yeah, they will be. You're gonna get kidnapped. He
suggests you head up to the hotel. And he walks off. A car drives by quickly
and Netto comments how much less organized things are here. Same car then
reverses back to you, and a random blonde-haired large-nosed man walks out and
punches you, then captures you and runs off. Bonzu, the guy you were waiting
for just now, returns and... finds you not there. Your kidnapper acts all
friendly. I bet he's actually Michael Jackson. He tells you that without the 4
key datas you need to open the door, there's no point trying to escape. Well,
there's your first clue. You'll be needing to plug in now, so examine the large
statue on the desk. Netto will notice a plug-in port, and will plug-in
automatically.

--Internet--

Head through the hotel computer (You're in a hotel? You've been kidnapped and
taken to a HOTEL?) and talk to the program to get the passcode for the security
cube. It'll lead you out into Ameroupe Area, so open the cube and let's get
looking for those datas. All four are apparently in Ameroupe Area so let's get
searching. I found Data B first, it's by the entrance to Africk Area on the
lower level (towards the north.) Grab that now and you'll get thrust into
a battle with 2 BiriEX and a RounderEX. Key Data C is by the entrance to Ajiina
Area, so head there and grab that and you'll be forced into a battle with 2
GeyrackEXs and a MagteckEX. The next data is on the lower level, near the ramp
up to the upper level. That's KeyData D which is guarded by 2 EbironEXs and a
RounderEX. As for the final KeyData A, head onto the upper level and it's by
the entrance to Sharro Area, guarded by a MagteckEX and two FlamelinerEX viri.
Plug out having collected all four.

--Ameroupe Hotel--

Netto will then rush up to the door and check that the coast is clear before
using the KeyDatas to open the door. However, it seems that our capturer was
waiting silently. You've been caught. Urk. Bonzu then walks in to save you.
Seems he tracked down our assailant using his awesome ninja skills! Joking
about the ninja skills, but he's here to help you! Or not. It turns out that
this was all a test to make sure you were worthy. Ugh. Goddamn ONBA. Anyways,
you've passed so you can go on to the Red Sun/Blue Moon Tournament. Hoorah. He
tells you that the tournament is held at Colosseo. He then leaves. Your
'assailant' then tells you you've got potential, and he too leaves.

Netto and Rock then talk about the upcoming tournament. It seems they're pumped
and ready to go. They then head to sleep... Well, that was a short segment. x_x

\\Final Eight! The Blue Moon/Red Sun Tournament! |
__________________________________________________________________|

--Ameroupe Hotel--

Rockman asks Netto if he's ready for the tournament. He says he's in his best
condition! Rock says they should head to Colosseo. Netto then spurts out some
ridiculous line about him and Rockman going on and fighting evil with a cheer.
"Yaruze!" When you're ready, if you're sure you want to progress with the final
tournament, then let's head to Colosseo! Enter, with pride! Okay, dusty stairs.
That's not good. Try to examine the brackets and you'll find... you can't. Yet.
The game hates you, you see. Sorry. However, examine the stone face on the wall
and you'll break into automatic conversation. Netto notices something seems
out of place about it. It then talks to him. oO It asks him if he, as a RS/BM
Tournament entrant, is ready. It then asks him, if he is not afraid, to place
his PET (and hand) inside the mouth of the lion. He says fine, and the lion
then does a DNA scan and recognizes him as Japan's entrant Hikari Netto. You
then examine the listings...

--------------------------------------\/--------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------/\--------------------------------------|
NOW, here's the deal. There's basically different paths you can get through
the tournaments. There are 6 different scenarios in each game, 2 exclusive to
each for a total of 8 scenarios. You'll be allocated a random three - so you'll
have to figure out which ones you have from the image of the navi on the
tournament listings. Good luck in the Red Sun/Blue Moon Tournament!

_______________________
a) Africk Adventure! |
_______________________|

Hrm, a basic evil generic navi. Yummy. Netto informs you your opponent is from
Africk, and they walk up behind you. It's a kid. A very small kid. x_x I love
the way the first thing they say is "oi". Netto asks who he is. He says his
name is Porepore, and asks if he is Hikari Netto. Netto confirms. Netto then
asks if he's from Africk, which he confirms, and says he's the best netbattler
there. He asks you to follow him there, as you're respected there for your
netbattling skills. You rock. You've saved the world four times. Five, if you
include that second time in Network Transmission. He asks if you're ready to go
and you say you are! Off we go to Africk!

--Africk--

You're teleported into the middle of Africk. First sign something is going to
go wrong, rampant teleportation. As you make your way to the large statue,
stop by the last pyramid-shaped teepee and examine it for a Reg-Up1. Then
mak your way towards the large statue and plug in. Work your way through to the
end where you'll find a navi standing by a walk to Africk Area. He asks if you
want to the code to get out and if you're ready to fight for it. Exclaim that
you are. He'll throw you into a multi-round battle.

Battle 1: 2x MagteckEX, RounderEX
Battle 2: Walra, RounderEX
Battle 3: EbironEX, RounderEX, GelrackEX

After winning, you'll get the Africk Code, so feel free to explore if you wish.
There's also a Subchip Memory item over to the left of the area down an orange
dead end. When you're happy on the net, plug out. Talk to the three people
surrounding Porepore. See
