===============
1. Introduction
===============
For those of you who have played the prequels to this game, I'm sure you look
forward to this one too. Let's focus here. Our hero Lan Hikari has defeated
two crime syndicates, the WWW and Gospel, who have powerful virus bosses and
navis, and still has not received any grandeur rewards for his work. I mean,
let's face it, he's a national hero and each game, can't get more than a
measly weak folder. Jeez.

============
2. The Story
============
The year is 200X. We live in a world that lives solely on the CyberNet. Our
lives are entirely intertwined into machinery, and artificial intelligence
thrives. Scientists have managed to create the PET: the Personal Electronic
Terminal. As time passed, they were able to create Navis, beings that lived
within the Cyberworld, but also interacted as one with their operator. In
such a world that is an utopia, crime still lives.

Opening up, we begin in the NAXA Station:
(These are not verbatim to the storyline)
Worker: Aw, nothing ever happens 'round here. I wish something exciting would
happen.
(klaxons go off)
Worker: I'm kidding! I'm kidding!
Superior: What's goin' on?
(runs over to terminal)
Worker: You ever seen Armageddon?
Superior: You mean that three and a half hour movie with Bruce Willis?
Worker: Yea. Remember the crisis?
Superior: Umm...(thinks) O! You better be kiddin' me!
Worker: Um...no.
(Superior moves over to terminal)
Superior: Oh Dear God!

PAUSE
If you haven't realized it yet, or never watched Armageddon, it's sayin' that
there's an asteroid on a collision course with Earth.
RESUME

Superior: We're gonna need to assemble the world's greatest scientists.

OK, now that you've begun to see the prelude, it's time to review things.

===========

=============
4. Characters
=============
Lan/MegaMan: The main protagonists and heroes. Need I say more?
Mayl/Roll: Lan's girlfriend (yet he still doesn't know) who seems to be a key
variable in leading Lan through his adventures. Roll is her Navi, who is also
smitten with MegaMan and is an interesting character and navi to fight.
Dex/GutsMan: A longtime acquaintance and trying to outdo him, Dex is the
strong-guy of the group. He is also quite helpful in certain cases. GutsMan
is the visionary navi for the strong brute, who is also a nice navi to play
against.
Yai/Glide: The smart, rich girl of the group, her utilities come in a pinch.
Glide is the butler-ish navi who acts on the orders of Yai.
Dr. Hikari/Mrs. Hikari: Lan's parents, who seem very informative. The basic
mother, who cares for her family a lot. The father is the smart, powerful
scientist with links all over Netopia.
Chaud/ProtoMan: One of Lan's greatest adversaries, I'd say they respect each
other by now...I think. He is an official, and ProtoMan acts in the same way
he does, snotty, rich-raised, and superior.
Dr. Regal: Though a rather nasty and foreign character shrouded by suspicion,
he seems to be a missing link in our story, with his unknown background and
bad rep (the storyline).

----------------------
4a. Objects and Panels
----------------------
The game has various objects althroughout and also there are special field
changes.
Objects: SubChips-Data that can be used to promote a positive effect on your
navi.
Examples are:
MiniEnrg-100 zennys: Heals for 50 HP.
Untrap-100 zennys: All data you have on the Net will never have a virus.
SneakRun-200 zennys: Avoid weak enemies for a while.
FullEnrg-1000 zennys: Heals all HP.
Unlocker-4000 zennys: Unlocks PMD (purple mystery data)
LocEnemy-10000 zennys: Used after an encounter, makes an enemy more likely to
appear for a while.

Panels: These can appear in battle. They may have positive or negative
effects on your battle.
Ice Panel: All non-Aqua, non-flying, navis or viruses slip as far as possible
and cannot stay on that panel. Electricity deals twice as much damage to a
target on this panel.
Grass Panel: All Grass navis and viruses gain 1 HP steadily. Fire deals twice
as much damage to a target on this panel.
Lava Panel: All non-Fire navis or viruses take 50 damage when on this panel.
These will fade out after a while. (not sure) Aqua deals twice as much damage
to a target on this panel.
Sand Panel (Normal): Slows down movement.
Sand Panel (Twister): When stepped on, you're held down for about 10 seconds.
Twisters and chips of that like do twice as much on Sand Panels (both).
Metal Panel: These are unbreakable and can't be penetrated. Only certain
chips can remove it.
Poison Panel: Units on this panel will lose 1 HP steadily.
Holy Panel: Units on this panel will have damage dealt to them halved,
rounded up (I think).
[!NOTE!]: If you have WindSoul enabled, you will not take negative effects of
panels.

===========================================
5. Changes In Comparison to The Other Games
===========================================
-Compared to the panels of BN3, Lava Panels disappear after a while in BN4.
-No More Style System (NOOOOOOOOO!) :(
-No More ModTools from BN3 :l
-Different sprites (images of characters in the world)
-Possible places where you can buy an infinite amount of a certain chip at a
vendor.
-BugFrags come as separate data, reverting to the BN2 system, and countering
leads to a FULL SYNCHRO (explained in tutorial)
-Storylines vary (random).
-Possible Data appears in battle

6. The Story
============
GO ON DOWN
=============================
7. Chapter 1: Father-Son Time
=============================
---------------------------------------
7a. Mr. Prog and the Viruses (Tutorial)
---------------------------------------
You begin by waking up, that is, MegaMan trying to wake you up. He reminds you
that today, you go shopping with Pa in ElecTown. You wake up, and go
downstairs. Talk to Father, he'll tell you that your mother is worried about
something. Go over to her, and she'll explain that viruses are in the oven.
OH NO! Whatever shall we do? Jack-in, Lan, you fool. You enter, and see the
navi in the oven, Mr. Prog being attacked by three Mettaur viruses. Battle
them, and show your father what you can do.

NOTE: If you remember previous tutorials, you can skip this part of the FAQ.

(Easy Mode)
Battle 1: Mettaur, Mettaur.
You're taught about the ability to select more than one chip at a time if
there are two of that type of chip. Select the two Cannon A chips. Kill the
Mettaurs, and you'll move on.
(Hard Mode)
Battle 1: Mettaur2, Mettaur2.
Handle this battle like a normal one. You will get data at the end just like a
normal battle.
(Super Hard Mode)
Battle 1: Mettaur3, Mettaur3.
Same as Hard Mode.

Cut out to a scene of an exploding Mettaur. Cool, huh? Fight the next one.

(Easy Mode)
Battle 2: Mettaur, Mettaur, Mettaur.
Now you're taught about the ability to select chips of the same code (there
are wild card * codes). Use the AreaGrab S and WideSword S to take care of the
first two Mettaurs (remember to place it in the middle). Repeat on next turn.
(Hard Mode)
Battle 2: Mettaur2, Mettaur2, Mettaur2.
Same as the first one. Use your own strategies.
(Super Hard Mode)
Battle 2: Mettaur3, Mettaur3, Mettaur3.
Same as first one.

Cut out to a scene to the second exploding Mettaur. Destroy the third!

(Easy Mode)
Battle 3: Mettaur, Mettaur, Mettaur.
Learn the Full Synchro. When you counter a virus attack, you synchro. If you
are hit multiple times, MegaMan loses trust to the point of anger. However,
if you counter an attack, a small tone goes off, and a pink ring revolves
around MegaMan, doubling the attack power of the next chip that can damage.
Select the Cannon A and the two AirShot A chips. Time your attacks carefully,
and you're done!
(Hard Mode)
Battle 3: Mettaur2, Mettaur2, Mettaur2.
Just like before.
(Super Hard Mode)
Battle 3: Mettaur3, Mettaur3, Mettaur3.
Just like before.

You saved Mr. Prog! However, he was damaged, so dad tells you to buy a
RcvPatch in ACDCArea 3. Jack out, but jack back in. Get the BMD (Blue Mystery
Data) and collect 500 Zennys (in Hard Mode, it's 1000 zennys, Super Hard: 2000
zennys). Your dad will give you another 500 Zennys to purchase the Patch. Run
up to your room and jack in. Explore the Net, and battle for experience,
money, and chips. Follow the path, but collect various BMDs and GMDs (Green
Mystery Data). There will be several walls in ACDCArea1. One of them requires
a ChefKey, while the other needs another key (for those of you who have played
previous versions, you will know what this is.) Run into ACDCArea 2, and pass
by the CyberChip Merchant, who will tell you that he hasn't opened yet. You
will pass by several Security Cubes by now, the first one being Mayl's and
second one Dex's. Go to ACDCArea 3 by main path because the side path is
blocked for now. Enter, and run ahead, and you should eventually come to a
part with various curves. There will be a navi there, and he will let you buy
RcvPatch, sayin' that it's expensive. Give him 500 Zennys and jack out. Dad
will now be able to fix the oven, and your mother will make breakfast.
Afterwards, you will begin to watch a cutscene, and Lan and Dad talk, but as
they come to the train station, he realizes he has forgotten something. Talk
to everyone in town for now. Dex will talk about a chat and you will be there.
Return to the train station. Your dad will return and you proceed to ElecTown.

----------------------
7b. Off to ElecTown...
----------------------
Help him find the new shop in ElecTown 2. You and Pa will go in, and as they
leave, Dad needs to buy some light bulbs. Wander around the corner to find
Mayl and Yai, and they tell you about a contest goin' on in the computer.

----------------------------------------------------
7c. Shoppin' Around, and Seein' An Odd Vampiric Navi
----------------------------------------------------
Jack in and you will see an odd navi, yet to be an enemy of yours. Talk to
Roll and Glide, who will mention the green navi, and he will tell you that
the competition has been finished. Collect the BMDs in this computer and jack
out (Hard Mode: 1 BugFrag, FullEnrg, Super Hard: 1 BugFrag, LocEnemy). Your
father will return, a slight greeting, and Dad deserts you, as he has been
called to work, undoubtedly trying to save the world. Mayl informs you about
the chat tonight, and you assure her you won't forget. Go to the next area,
ElecSquare, where you will find a gathering for the Den Tournament.

-------------------------------
7d. Intro to the Den Tournament
-------------------------------
The man who is the official there fiddles with the system, and feedback comes
out before he mentions the start of... a tournament! What luck? Another
chance to beat the crap out of navis and to show your skills! Anyway, it
begins tomorrow. Residents whine, sayin' they ain't got the time, but accept
it, knowin' they could be stars. Leave the area, but there is a commotion
over the computer that hosted the competition. Lan, you know what to do!

--------------------
7e. ShadeMan Strikes
--------------------
Jack in, and see the fallen navis around. Confront ShadeMan, who is enjoying
a female navi (just a basic one, nothin' to worry about). He's annoyed at
your intrusion, and figures that he'll get another snack in ACDC Area. Wait a
sec...ACDC...that's where Roll is! Get your ass over there and save your
girlfriend's Navi.

----------------------------------
7f. Save Roll before it's Too Late
----------------------------------
Run on home, and jack into your computer. Run through ACDCArea1, 2, and 3,
following the blue path. You will see ShadeMan closing in on Roll, Glide and
GutsMan fallen near her. You run in, but are a bit too late. He flies off
with her. Glide and GutsMan jack out. As you pursue, you receive an e-mail
from Yai, telling you that she is rootin' for you to rescue her. She also
gives you her P-Code. Run through TownArea1, where a navi informes you that
the culprit flew through the area (If you have an Unlocker, go to the third
left dead end in the criss-cross area of TownArea1, and walk the secret path
to a PMD containing an HP Memory (SpinGrn in Hard Mode, 3 BugFrags in Super
Hard). Chase him through the path (yellow one) until TownArea2. You will come
across an area with a bunch of curvy paths and ends. Go down one to reach a
warp point. Go there, and collect the BMD, a CopyDmg * (Hard Mode: 3400
zennys, CustSwrd S in Super Hard). Go back to TownArea1, and into the warp
point, where you go to another area.

---------------
7g. Where Am I?
---------------
You are in an unknown computer area, and a gap separates you and ShadeMan. He
assures you that Roll is alright. You better find him before she becomes his
dessert. You see a CyberPanel, being a dedication to the TowerComp! Jack out,
and run to ElecTown. Try to go to the square, and a man will prevent you from
entering. Double back to the gate nearby the SubChip vendor, and the gate
will pop open. Run up the steps, and you can jack into the panel that says
"AC". There's some mystery data, but we'll focus on that later.

-----------------------------
7h. Ahh! The Noise! It Burns!
-----------------------------
As you enter the Square, a high-pitched noise stops you. Hindered, you
retreat. Where to go? Something's got to stop the noise...wait a sec...what
did the competitors receive...(insert Jeopardy theme song here)...(lightbulb
goes off)...the competition where Mayl and Yai where before. RUN! As you jack
in, there will be a competition. Fight him:

1 NormNavi (230 HP)

When you finish him off, you win "Earphone" (wow, the game makers were pretty
crappy with grammar.) Run back to the top, and go to the panel, and jack into
the ElTwrComp.

--------------
7i. Tower Comp
--------------
Get the BMD's here (I think there's three: HP Memory, 700 zennys, and a RegUp2
[still unsure]). In Hard Mode, there's a RegUP 1, a MegEnBom D, and 1
BugFrag. In Super Hard, there is an HP Memory, a NCP Charge+1 Yellow, and
1400 zennys. The navi ahead tells you that he would open the door, but three
CyberBats unleashed by ShadeMan are pestering him. The CyberSonar could
detect them. He gives you BootDatA, which will allow the use of the Sonar
System in ElTwrComp1. The sonar waves last for ten seconds, so find the bats
swiftly. When completed, proceed to ElTwrComp2. There, you can find more BMDs
(these I am entirely unsure of, but in Hard Mode, are WideBlade C, 2300
zennys, and an HP Memory, and in Super Hard, it's 2900 zennys, 1 BugFrag, and
a RegUP 2), and another navi, who is still annoyed by CyberBats. Get
BootDatB, and catch the four bats. When you do, you can proceed further. The
path is riddled with empty (data) navis. Confront ShadeMan!

-------------------------
7j. Faceoff With ShadeMan
-------------------------
You come to him trying to drain Roll of her data. Stop him, and he'll
initiate a CyberSonar System that paralyzes MegaMan. Oh no! What can Lan do?
Hmm, these are speakers, right? What have you seen today that are like
these? Hmm...Den Tourney, feedback. Cha-ching! Run over to the Square (lower
entrance), and fiddle with the controls. The sound stops, and ShadeMan is
pissed! He battles you.

ShadeMan (Easy Mode: 500 HP) (Hard Mode: 800 HP) (Super Hard Mode: 1200 HP)
None of your attacks do squat to him. So, hit him with your buster about 5-6
times. The battle stops, and ShadeMan is confused about why he can't defeat
you.

He fears something is wrong, as Chaud and ProtoMan take over. What punctual
timing, Mr. French. He tries to attack him, but he flees. ProtoMan gives
chase, leaving the Tower Comp. Roll is grateful, but notices something that
ShadeMan left behind. It looks like a battlechip. Store away ???Data, and
you'll jack out. Quipping yourself about what this chip is, head off to the
only guy who would know about this: Higsby.

---------------------------
7k. Dark Chip? What's This?
---------------------------
Ok, so his shop wasn't opened before, now it is. Higsby ain't gonna sell you
jack for now. Ask him about this, and Higsby becomes a frightened child,
knowing that Lan has acquired a (ominous tone) DARK CHIP. Lan seems entirely
unfazed until Higsby mentions the adverse affects of this chip. Lan, worried
about it, flees, but goes home and sleeps it off.

============================
8. Chapter 2-The Den Tourney
============================
----------------------
8a. Wake Up Or Be Late
----------------------
Lan is entirely asleep, and would have been late if not for MegaMan's
persistent alarms. After realizing the day and time, hurries off to go to the
tourney. Go to ElecTown, where people are doing everyday activities. Enter
the square, and talk to the official there. He tells you that the only way a
person can participate is if they register.

--------------------------------------------------------
8b. Registration? I Don't Need No Stinkin' Registration!
--------------------------------------------------------
Lan must hurry up and register in TownArea3 (Damn! If he did so well
elsewhere, why the heck does he have to register?). Talk to the official to
get the JomonCd. Go to the computers in front of JomonElectric and link up to
the Cyberworld. Once there, open the security cube and hurry on over. Follow
the yellow path to find the registration navi. Register any three-letter
name. When you are done, jack out, and run back to the official in
ElecSquare. He'll be with three people.

------------------------
8c. The Three Challenges
------------------------
The official explains to you that these three are employees of the Den
Tournament and the prelims are to complete all their tasks. Yawn.

1st Man: Blond, top one. He needs to find "Mettaur Village". What kind of
place is that? Anyway, the data about this is hidden by a navi in the
TownArea, characterized by lying to new navis. Go to where TownArea2 connects
to TownArea3. Go up that ramp and go through the warp point. Go down the
right path. The navi should be slightly protruding, and, when you talk to
him, he'll stutter in worry. He tells you that he has no knowledge of Mettaur
Village and that Mettaurs themselves hate ElecTown and high places. Normally,
where would you go? A low place that isn't ElecTown. WRONG!!! Remember what
this man told you. He lies to new navis. If you invert his statement, it
means that he has knowledge of Mettaur Village, and that the Mettaur love
ElecTown and high places. Now, think. Where in ElecTown would you find a
jack-in place? The screen! Remember the screen that says "AC" that I told you
to disregard? Jack in, and find a HealNavi trying to delete the Mettaurs.
He'll give you LabData, but always a soft-heart, MegaMan stops him, and you
battle him to save the Mettaur.

(Easy) 1 HealNavi (100 HP), 2 Spikey
(Hard) 1 HealNavAlpha (300 HP), 2 Spikey2
(Super Hard) 1 HealNavBeta (500 HP), 2 Spikey3

When you finish him off, return the data to the man to complete the task.
Proceed to the next man now.

2nd Man: He is in the middle, and has a dissertation on a creature he has
never, ever seen. Jeez, what a idiot. Who honestly wants to speak on a thing
that they have never seen before in their life? Anyway, you have to locate
one male and one female GoldBug. Male GoldBugs are active in the day and like
houses, while females tend to hide. The Bugs are possibly in ACDC Town, he
tells you. Hurry back there, and go to the park. Talk to the tree nearest to
the squirrel. You will notice a GoldBugF. Good job. Now, hurry to Yai's
house, where she will ask you to take away an odd insect on her teddy bear.
Go to it, and take the GoldBugM. Run back to ElecSquare and complete his
request. Now for the third one.

3rd Woman: She asks you a question first: What is the next three letters in
this sequence: OTTFFSS? Select "ENT" (8, 9, 10). She wants to rid some virus
from her PET:

(Easy) (Hard)
1. 2 Mettaur, MettEX 1. 2 Mettaur2, MettEX
2. 2 Spikey 2. 2 Spikey2
3. MettEX, Billy, Boomer 3. Mett2EX, Silly, Gloomer
                        (Super Hard)
                        1. 2 Mettaur3, MettEX
                        2. 2 Spikey3
                        3. Mett3EX, Killy, Doomer

When you have succeeded in this, the official will let you pass. He tells you
to go to the DenDome, where the tourney takes place.

----------------------
8d. Off to the DenDome
----------------------
Talk to him again to obtain the ability to go by train. Travel there, and go
up to the room. You can jack into the hotdog stand if you want. Anyway, go to
the waiting room, where the pairings will be announced. There are multiple
storylines, some of which I am still trying to get.

-----------------------------------------------------
8e. Challenges of the DenTourney: Multiple Storylines
-----------------------------------------------------
Still reconstructing the data, I would appreciate any help and would give
thanks to those who would. You may e-mail me data about this at my e-mail:
cyndaquill6@hotmail.com. However, title the e-mails about Red Sun and what
they inform. Otherwise, I will delete it.

---------------------------
8ea. Ghostbuster Lan (Yuko)
---------------------------
You leave the waiting room and are confronted by Yuko, a playful little girl.
She wants you to play tag. You and MegaMan get this weird feeling that she
isn't normal, like she is a little sister you never knew about. At that
moment, your mother calls you that someone at home is here to see you. Who
could it be? Double back and find out that Yuko's father talks to you about
her irregularity: Navi Ghosts. He wants you to stop them from wreaking havoc,
so you receive the CybSutra and the CybCryst (what odd objects). The CybCryst
allows the holder to track Navi ghosts. As you get closer, it glows yellow.
The farther you are, it get blue. When you are in the vicinity of it, it
becomes red. These are the places where I remember where the ghost navis
are:

1. In ACDCArea1, go to the part where there is a wall that blocks your entry
(purple with a skull). Nearby, there should be a good navi.

2. In ACDCArea2, go behind the CyberMerchant to fight a bad navi.
(Easy Mode) 2 MettEX
(Hard Mode) 2 Mett2EX
(Super Hard Mode) 2 Mett3EX

3. Near the door labeled "Shuko's Door", there should be a good navi who will
give you his/her last will and testament of 3000 zennys (NICE!)

4. Near the Nebula door in ACDCArea3, there should be an evil navi.
(Easy Mode) 2 MettEX, Boomer
(Hard Mode) 2 Mett2EX, Gloomer
(Super Hard Mode) 2 Mett3EX, Doomer

5. In TownArea1, go to one of the ends of the criss-cross patterned area. A
good navi will give you 1 BugFrag before moving on.

6. Near the Higsby's warehouse door in TownArea1, find the evil navi there.
(Easy Mode) 2 Melody
(Hard Mode) 2 Hellody
(Super Hard Mode) 2 Felony

7. In TownArea2, in the area above the door needing GateData, there should be
another evil navi.
(Easy Mode) 2 MettEX, VacuFan
(Hard Mode) 2 Mett2EX, VacuFan2
(Super Hard Mode) 2 Mett3EX, VacuFan3

8. In TownArea3, go to the top corner of the square near the Castillo wall.
Send him on and he'll tell you "check the center of ACDC Park". Go there for an
EnergBom E.

After you succeed, you have to hurry over to the DenDome. Once there, fight
Yuko and her normal navi.
(Easy Mode) NormNavi (230 HP)
It does basic things: LilBomb, Cannon, Sword, WideSword, LongSword.
(Hard Mode) NormNaviBeta (800 HP)
Does the things above including CrosBomb, Fanfare, and Blinder.
(Super Hard Mode) NormNaviOmega (1200 HP)

When you beat her, it turns out that she is a ghost. You have made her a
happy spirit, and she rises up, transcending to the next level. Guess
anything can happen, huh?

-----------------------------------------------
8eb. Topsy Turvy with Old NetBattlers (Tensuke)
-----------------------------------------------
You find that you're fighting against TopMan, who I have absolutely no idea
of who he is (nostalgic players would know). Leave the Dome to find that an
old man is showing his grandson a spinning top. The child thinks it's lame
(indeed it is) and it starts destabilizing. Viruses have infected it. Get
down there and jack in. Collect the BMD there (Hard Mode: 1600 zennys) and
rid of the virus:

(Easy Mode)
2 MettEX, Dharma
(Hard Mode)
2 Mett2EX, Karma
(Super Hard Mode)
2 Mett3EX, Dogma

After that, the old man is pissed because you fixed his top w/o permission
(stingy old coot). His navi is "broken" and he refuses to reveal it. The
navi, obviously suffering from amnesia, mentions the old man's name, Tensuke.
He hurries off to shop for a navi upgrade. Hey, he left his top behind. Now,
to make a choice: leave it there, take it like a thief, or good samaritan-ism
followed by another old man temper tantrum. For some reason, Lan takes the
latter. Hurry over to ElecTown. Tensuke stands in front of JomonElectric,
looking for a compatible upgrade. Yet again, Tensuke yells at him, and says
he doesn't need the top anymore. He mentions that the Old Home's NetBattle
Club shunned him for calling NetBattles child's play (serves him right). He
runs off hastily, and you notice he needs help. MegaMan suggests to look for
the NetBattle Club, and finds out it gathers in ACDC Park. Head over there,
and address them. They don't forgive him, but they have a soft spot for
children like you. They want to kill time by scattering their navis
throughout TownArea. Run home, jack in, and hurry to TownArea1. Go to the
area nearby the Higsby's warehouse personnel door, and answer the navi's
question:

(Easy Mode)
1. I am only useful when I am full, but I am full of holes. What am I?

-???? -????
-sponge=====>Correct                 -????
(Hard Mode)
1. Brothers and sisters I have none. But that man's father is my father's
son. Who is it?

-my son=====>Correct                    -me
-my father -my uncle

Get Secret1. Go to the second one, near the first warp point in TownArea2. He
will ask you:

(Easy and Hard Mode)
2. The more you take, the more you leave behind. What are they?

-chances -hints
-footsteps=====>Correct                 -risks

Get Secret2. Go to the next navi, who is near the wall that needs TownKyDt.
He will ask you:

(Easy Mode)
3. ????
(Hard Mode)
3. What is put on a table, cut, and never eaten?

-silence -air
-water                                  -cards=====>Correct

Get Secret3. Run over to TownArea3, and go to the path farthest down to the
right from the TownArea merchant. He will ask you:

(Easy and Hard Mode)
4. I build up castles, I tear down mountains. I make some men blind. I help
others to see. What am I?

-sand=====>Correct                      -dynamite
-steel -glass

Get Secret4, and the navi will tell you that the leader of their club resides
somewhere in ACDC Area. He will give you Memrship. Jack out and back into
your computer. Go to the first wall you come along in ACDCArea1. Go in, and
you will need to fight the leader of the NetBattle Club:

(Easy) 2 Melody, Dharma
(Hard) 2 Hellody, Karma
(Super Hard) 2 Felony, Dogma

When you're through with those viruses, that navi will arrange a meeting
between the Chief and Tensuke. It arranges in ElecTown, so jack out and hurry
over. When you reach there, watch the twin Tensuke act! The Chief will hand
him what he needs to make his navi good. Then, hurry back to the DenDome, and
you fight TopMan's operator: Tensuke!

TopMan (Easy Mode: 500 HP) (Hard Mode: 900 HP) (Super Hard Mode: 1300 HP)
He will use top-like attacks similar to the Dharma virus series. Wax him easy
and get your victory.

Despite his loss, the elders root for him, and he wins his grandson's respect
back. Good show!
----------------------
8ec. Kidnapping! (Dex)
----------------------
Well, you're facing Dex. Nice to know that you've used him as a punching bag
for the last three games. You find him in the waiting room with Chisao.
Still, he has the hindsight of a monkey, thinkin' that Dex can pulverize you.
Dex yells at him, and Chisao runs off, scared. You give chase with Dex,
but as you try to leave the DenDome, it turns out that Chisao is missing and
presumed kidnapped! There are clues mixed around, but the first one looks
like this:

omihqr
laneue AND "Top to Bottom"
dmtsa!

Reading top to bottom, left to right, it says: "Old man in square!" Hurry
over to ElecSquare, and find the old man situated behind the speakers. He
hands you your next piece of data called Memo written:

si ivan neerg eht
!eerht aera nwot ni

Read backwards, it says: "The green navi is in TownArea3!". Go to TownArea3.
Locate a green navi on one of the paths near the vendor there. He hands you
another clue:

Might try	looking	in
You side AND "Spiral"
flowers! of	vase	the

Read in a spiral, it says: "You Might try looking inside the vase of
flowers!" Hurry to the viewer entrance of the dome, and take a look at the
flowers. You will find no clue, but receive a call from Chisao. He tells you:
"Help! I'm at the park squi..." I wonder where he at? Move to the park,
and check out the pink squirrel. Hastily scribbled but partially erased is
the following clue:

E-TwrCo--2
M--Pr-g
3-d----right

Filling in the blanks, huh? I feel like a Wheel of Fortune contestant without
the money :(

Anyway, it says ElTwrComp2, Mr. Prog, 3rd from right. Jack into the computer.
Go to where you encountered ShadeMan. Six Mr. Prog's are lined up. Talk to
the fourth one down and he'll tell you that he has a package. Open it up,
and you got yourself 3 virus battles come out. Feels like Christmas.
(Easy)
Battle 1: 2 MettEX, 1 Boomer
Battle 2: 2 Melody, 1 Billy
Battle 3: 1 MettEX, 1 Melody, 1 Boomer
(Hard)
Battle 1: 2 Mett2EX, 1 Gloomer
Battle 2: 2 Hellody, 1 Silly
Battle 3: 1 Mett2EX, 1 Hellody, 1 Gloomer
(Super Hard)
Battle 1: 2 Mett3EX, 1 Doomer
Battle 2: 2 Felony, 1 Killy
Battle 3: 1 Mett3EX, 1 Felony, 1 Doomer

After that, you will receive a call from the kidnapper, who has scattered 5
pieces of data across the Cyberworld. Get them. Jack out, run home, and go
to your computer. The first piece of data is in ACDCArea1, nearby the purple
wall. The navi will ask you for a million zennys, but kids with you, as he
did great on the racetrack (gambles). You get Data1 for free. Hi-yo!. Move
onto ACDCArea2, where another navi lies. First, go to the CyberMerchant here
and buy a Bubbler R. When you talk to the navi, he'll want 1000 Zennys for
the data. Pay up. As St. Paul once said, "Money is the root of all evil."
Yeah right! Go to TownArea1. Go to the link to TownArea2. Pass it by, and
talk to the evil navi, who seems to have a knight-complex. He'll ask you
five questions:

1. What does PET stand for?
PErsonal Tank
PErfect Tag
PErsonal Terminal=====>Correct
2. What plant sculptures are outside of the mansion in ACDC Town?
Elephant
Duck
Giraffe=====>Correct
3. What is the biggest shop in ElecTown?
JomonElec=====>Correct
ComeOn Elec
Yo, Mon! Elec
4. What is the name of Higsby's aide?
Hinako
Nanako=====>Correct
Yoyoko
5. What stand is placed outside the DenDome?
Pancake stand
convns store
Hotdog stand=====> Correct

After succeeding, collect Data3. Move onto TownArea1, and pass through it.
Proceed to TownArea2, where a navi should be in front of a blocked
passageway on the lower level. If you remember, go to the warp point
(CORRECT ONE IS NEAR THE RAMP). He'll want to trade Data4 for a Bubbler R
(how useful). Finally, go to the part of TownArea3 where the path moves into
the next area, but stop. Talk to the navi, who gives you Data5, then attacks
you.

(Easy) 1 HealNavi (100 HP), and 2 MettEX
(Hard) 1 HealNavAlpha (300 HP), and 2 Mett2EX
(Super Hard) 1 HealNavBeta (500 HP), and 2 Mett3EX

You will receive an e-mail to come to ElecSquare. Go there. He'll ask you to
defeat some viruses:

(Easy) 3 SpikeyEX (Hard) 3 Spikey2EX (Super Hard) 3 Spikey3EX

After that, Chisao is freed, but you can't find the kidnapper. You hurry to
the Dome, where the crowd grows chaotic and unruly, telling the judge to
disqualify Lan. Dex won't stand for it, so he wants to leave the tourney.
Just as he is about to declare them no more in the tournament, Lan enters,
and you fight Dex.

(Easy) GutsMan (500 HP) (Hard) GutsManAlpha (900 HP) (Super Hard) GutsManBeta
(1300 HP)
Abilities: Gaia (dmg unknown), GutPunch (dmg unknown), and a weak 10 dmg
buster that goes three spaces ahead.

Kick his ass. After that, Chisao will admit to him being the perpetrator of
the entire charade you just went through to save him. Dex is ashamed, and
you're just surprised. Quite elaborate, huh? Anyway, pleasantries and
apologies are exchanged, and you move on. You earn GutsSoul from the battle (RS
only).

GutsSoul
--------
Unite with what type of Chip: Ground Breaking (indicated by two waves)
Abilities:
-Charged Attack becomes a GutsPunch for 60 damage.
-If you tap the B button really rapidly, you get a rapid-fire buster and an
invincibility aura for about two seconds (the aura is like the Fanfare chip
effect). These shots do 5 damage apiece, and remind me of the GutsStyle from
BN3.
-All Normal Chips (no symbol) and Ground Breaking Chips do 30 more damage (if
they had base damage).

------------------------------------
8ed. A Fiery Betrayal... (Mr. Match)
------------------------------------
Hmm...you're fighting FireMan. Mr. Match must've devolved to the point of
going with his original navi (who sucked in BN1). He comes in, and convinces
you that he is good again (same old song and dance). He leaves, and you get
hungry. Run over to the nearby hot dog stand. She whips up a hot dog as Mr.
Match comes in. He also has a hankering for hot dogs. The female vendor
recognizes him, and explains to Lan that Mr. Match helped her from going out
of business (going sweet on her). Then, two thugs come in and demand money
from her (they're like her landlords or something). At that moment, the grill
seems to be failing. Jack in, and delete the virus: 2 VolGear (Hard-2
VulGear, Super Hard: 2 ValGear). When that is done, try to locate Mr. Match.
Run back to the DenDome Waiting Room and talk to the man there. He'll tell
you that Mr. Match left something behind. You'll take it to him. He gives you
"FireID". Jack into your house and run to ACDCArea3 (or get Yai's HP banner
and go there). Run left of Yai's PC and open up the door. Run to the warp
point. Then, you'll see FireMan conversing with two evil navis. He tells them
not to bother the lady at the hot dog stand, implying a certain affection for
her. MegaMan enters, and FireMan tells him to MYOB about what just happened.
He jacks out to get back to the match. Hurry back to the hot dog stand, and
see that he fixes the system. He explains to you that the viruses were
beneficial to the ignition system. He hurries over to the Dome and you do
too. When you get there, Mr. Match tells of his dastardly plan of
incinerating the DenDome. However, the faithful hot dog vendor returns to
cheer him on, and the two thugs come and explain that they will cover the
plan themselves. Mr. Match is amazed at their defiance of him. However, they
offer that one person can try and defuse all of the ignition switches. Lan is
"volunteered" by Mr. Match, and you have to locate the five switches:

1. In the Waiting Room, go to the bottom part of the desk. The first switch
is there and the viruses are:
(Easy) 2 Spikey, VolGear (Hard) 2 Spikey2, VulGear (Super Hard) 2 Spikey3,
ValGear

2. DenDome vending machine:
(Easy) 3 Spikey (Hard) 3 Spikey2 (Super Hard) 3 Spikey3

3. Check the corner of the desk at the competitor entrance:
(Easy) 2 Spikey, SpikeyEX (Hard) 2 Spikey2, Spikey2EX (Super Hard) 2 Spikey3,
Spikey3EX

4. Check the middle flower basket in the spectator's entrance:
(Easy) 2 SpikeyEX, VolGear (Hard) 2 Spikey2EX, VulGear (Super Hard) 2
Spikey3EX, ValGear

5. Check behind the divider in the spectator's entrance:
(Easy) 2 VolGear, SpikeyEX (Hard) 2 VulGear, Spikey2EX (Super Hard) 2
ValGear, Spikey3EX

When you're through with that, run back to the dome and you think the threat
is over. However, there is one final thing: the MT igniter designed by Match.
He helps you disarm it. Jack into the DenDome NetBattle Computer, and get
ready to work. First, you need to destroy 20 Big Bombs. Then, you'll need to
remove the viruses. When it begins, run over to any bomb and press the A
button when in front of it (however, you need to prioritize to rid of the
bombs with lower time fuses (3 seconds). If you fail to do so, they will go
off. Small ones do 30 damage and big ones do 60 damage. When through with 20
big bombs, fight the viruses:

(Easy) 2 Spikey, VolGearEX (Hard) 2 Spikey2, VulGearEX (Super Hard) 2
Spikey3, ValGearEX

When that is done, you have successfully defused the final bomb. The perps
are long gone, and you want to proceed with the battle. However, Mr. Match
feels that he should be arrested, althought the crowd and the vendor feel
differently. The cheers make Mr. Match battle, and you face off against
FireMan again (if you played BN1).

(Easy) FireMan (?00 HP) (Hard) FireManAlpha (1000 HP) (Super Hard) FireMan
Beta (1500 HP)
Attacks: Tosses two bombs that have an effect similar to the Volcano viruses
in BN3. He can do a fire-arm down a row and can do an attack similar to the
VolGear virus.

When you defeat him, you get FireSoul (RS).

FireSoul
--------
Unite with what type of Chip: Fire (indicated by a flame)
Abilities:
-When you unite, the field changes to Grass panels like so:
[ ][G][ ]|[ ][G][ ]
[G][G][G]|[G][G][G]
[ ][G][ ]|[ ][G][ ]
G=grass panels
-Charged attack becomes a 3-space fire-arm attack that does 50 (like the Fire
charged attack of BN3)
-If you are holding a Fire chip, you can hold down A until it is charged.
When you do that, it will release a fire-arm down that row dealing damage
equal to the power of the chip charged this way.

------------------------------------
8ee. JomonElectric Gone Awry (Terry)
------------------------------------
You find out your enemy is some guy who has a navi called SparkMan. Sounds
electric, so you consider your dis/advantages. You get an e-mail from Jomon
Electric, telling you that there is an upgrade to customers' PET's that
could be beneficial in the tournament. Go to the representative outside of
the Dome, and he'll fix you up. It seems alright until...(GASP), you have a
weird locked folder. (This is the basic folder, which, I might add, can
still whip SparkMan's ass with.) Pick up the piece of paper that he dropped.
There's got to be something Lan can do, but what? Rush over to ElecTown and
talk to the girl on the left side of the building, who says she's spotted
the boss nearby. Speak to the old man in front of the building, who will
diagnose the problem. The program is wired into the PET such that only a
7-digit passcode can unlock the mechanism. If it is forcibly removed, the
PET is destroyed. There is a hint on that scrap of paper:

(Easy)
1. Number of NetDealers in the Town Area=====>1
2. Number of Hotdog=====>5
3. Number of Triangles pointing up and down in Town Area 3=====>6
4. Number of Vending Machines In ElecTown=====>3
5. Number of Trees In ACDC Town That Are Visible=====>5
6. Number of House Markers in ACDC Area=====>4
7. 15 + 2 + 3 - 14=====>6
(Hard)
1. Number of Mr. Progs in the LCD Comp=====>9
2. 15 + 2 + 3 - 14=====>6
3. Number of Hotdog=====>5
4. Number of NetDealers in the Town Area=====>1
5. How many streets radiate from the square in ACDC2?=====>3
6. Number of Navis in the ElTwrComp right now=====>4
7. Number of Trees In ACDC Town That Are Visible=====>5
(Super Hard)
1. Number of Mr. Progs in the LCD Comp=====>9
2. 15 + 2 + 3 - 14=====>6
3. Number of Hotdog=====>5
4. Number of NetDealers in the Town Area=====>1
5. How many streets radiate from the square in ACDC2?=====>3
6. Number of Navis in the ElTwrComp right now=====>4
7. Number of Trees In ACDC Town That Are Visible=====>5

The password is 1563536 (Hard: 9651345, Super Hard: 9651345). It unlocks, and
you must remember to reset your folder. DO it and get back to the Dome,
double-time. He thinks he has you beat, but you have to show him up.

(Easy) SparkMan (?00 HP) (Hard) SparkManAlpha (900 HP) (Super Hard) SparkMan
Beta (1300 HP)
He can attack with a V-Gun of Electricity, or send a ball of electricity down
your rows up and down like a snake.

After his defeat, he blames the loss on his navi. A small cutscene reveals
that the NetBattler is the grandson of the boss of JomonElectric. If that guy
had won, the boss would have funded his research of robots. However, after
his disgraceful loss, he is left to suck up to him.

------------------------------------------------
8ef. Gang Leaders, Medical Fraud, Oh My! (Tetsu)
------------------------------------------------
So you're fighting another normal navi (HealNavi). The op appears, revealing
himself to be a "mythical" gang leader. He says he'll see you at the battle.
Leave the DenDome, and a cutscene will play, showing you "breaking" another
guy's arm. They want you to pay 100,000 zennys for medical expenses. (I did
this in Super Hard mode, so it wouldn't matter to me). However, Tetsu appears
and whups their asses. They flee. Tetsu tells you that he hates guys like
that. He says that he's going to ElecTown. He'll leave. Chase him to
ElecSquare, where the two thugs are. Wanting to battle, you'll stop them,
knowing that fighting could lead to disqualification. You'll inadvertently
say NetBattle, and they'll want to meet in TownArea3. Run to that area, and
you climb up the ramp that leads to the TownArea3 merchant. There, you find
out that Tetsu's navi has deleted 80 of the thugs' minions, though he is
tired from it. MegaMan wants to take his place, so you fight 6 guys to reach
them.

Battle #|Easy |Hard |Super Hard

   6 |VolGear, HealNav[?]|VulGear, HealNavAlpha[?]|ValGear, HealNavBeta[?]
--------|-------------------|------------------------|-----------------------
Note: The [?] represents chip data held by a virus/opposing navi.

Then, the two navis will retreat, summoning more minions. Go through three
battles of HealNavis (Easy), HealNaviAlpha (Hard), or HealNaviBeta (Super
Hard). You'll confront them, and Tetsu's navi returns, and single-handedly
deletes them. Both of you retreat to the Colosseum in time for your battle.

Easy: HealNav (500 HP), Hard: HealNavAlpha (800 HP), Super Hard: HealNavBeta
(1100 HP)
Just like any other HealNavi. Take him out easy and clean.

He'll applaud your skill for beating him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
8eg. A Misunderstanding between a Noisy Navi and a Noisy Appliance (Shuko)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hmm, AquaMan. Lan ponders a bit before his thick skull realizes that it's a
aqua-aligned navi. He figures that he'll kill some time before the match. You
receive an e-mail from the CyberMagazine informing you of today's fortune: You
are likely to drown today! Beware of water!" Wow! It's an ominous fortune prior
to your match against a water navi. Lan disregards it, thinking that fortune
telling is just a fraud. Exit the Waiting Room and go to the stairs, where you
will notice a girl at the vending machine. She's a bit indecisive about what
she wants, and as a result, runs out of time to select a drink. AquaMan figures
that it is nothing, and Lan intervenes, wondering what's wrong. The girl begins
to voiceover and the sorrow music plays. She talks about her birth being under
the wrong moon or something (some divination stuff) and blames her bad luck on
past events: slamming her finger against a dresser, a stray dog chasing her,
and her parent's premature death. AquaMan informs her that Atsu and Ty are
outside the DenDome, so she runs out. Follow her, and you'll see that Atsu and
Ty are her twin brothers. They make a conversation about a noisy device, which
leads AquaMan to believe he's the subject of their conversation. They talk
about discarding the device after the battle and buying a new one in ElecTown.
AquaMan is obviously fearful that he'll be removed, so he escapes and cries on
the net (doesn't seem harsh...YET!) Atsu needs to search for help while Ty
looks for Shuko. Talk to Atsu and agree to help him. He'll give you the
CybCanst. Run home and jack into the net. It is entirely flooded with water!
Take notice to the bar at the top right, representing your oxygen tank (or
something). NEVER let it deplete, and as long as you're in another PC or a
non-net computer, you can refill your O2 tank. Run to TownArea2 and check the
empty green circle at the top right. AquaMan is there, sobbing about his op's
disowning. MegaMan assures him that it isn't so, but AquaMan flees, saying that
you know nothing of the sort. Pursue him to where ACDCArea2 meets ACDCArea3.
You'll watch a cutscene and, as thick-headed as our heroes are, they don't know
who it is. AquaMan swims down to the warp point behind Shuko's door. MegaMan
runs over there, and asks, but AquaMan already has escaped thru the point. You
need Shuko's key, so jack out. Run to the DenDome and ask Atsu where she is. He
tells you that she is in ElecTown1. Run over there, and find her with Ty. She
is worried about what'll happen, and gives you ShukoKey to unlock the area.
Jack back in and go to the warp point. Follow the long path to where AquaMan is
and watch the cutscene. AquaMan just wants MegaMan to leave until MegaMan
explains the misunderstanding he had with Shuko about him and a new washing
machine. He apologizes and he tells you that he isn't aware of his doing while
he cries (this guy must cry a lot to flood the net). He cleans up the water,
and you have to hurry to the DenDome. Go to your battle and face AquaMan!

Easy: AquaMan (500 HP) Hard: AquaManAlpha (1000 HP) Super Hard: AquaManBeta
(1500 HP)

AquaMan's battle technique is not difficult. He can attack with a Bubbler and
can throw a bomb that cracks the square it lands on and has a BublSprd effect.
Finally, he can summon faucets from which he can blast water 2 spaces ahead.

Nothing difficult, beat her 1, 2, 3 (killed AquaMan in under 20 seconds with a
well-timed Silver Bullet). She'll admire the good battle, and she and her
brothers go to buy the new washing machine. Shuko trips down the stairs, but
this only makes her appreciate how much love a family can give her. Lan and
MegaMan also observe this. For Blue Moon players, you will receive AquaSoul.

AquaSoul
--------
Unite with What Type of Chip: Aqua (indicated by a blue drop)
Abilities:
-You don't slip on Ice Panels.
-Charged shot is a Bubbler for 20 damage.
-Charge is much faster.
-Like MetalSoul, you can charge an Aqua chip to do twice as much damage.

---------------------------
8eh. You Dice Now! (Higsby)
---------------------------
Hehehe, I'm lazy and not so witty. Watch the Simpsons and you'll understand.
Your next opponent is Higsby and NumberMan. As you talk, a tournament official
walks up to you and delivers you a message from Higsby, saying that he intends
to withdraw. Go to his shop to find out. There, Higsby informs you that he is
in danger of being closed down by NAM (National Association of Merchants?). One
of their workers, Cone, comes in, and explains to Lan that Higsby borrowed the
money needed for the shop. He, however, hasn't turned much of a profit, and
Cone intends to turn the chip shop into "The Scrub Brush". Reminds me of a
movie I once watched called "UHF" with an advertisement for the fictional store
Spatula City. Hmm, I could try to fit the Scrub Brush into the song:

"Scrub Brush, we sell scrub brushes! And that's all!"

(shudders) Anyway, Higsby needs to rake up enough money, so he starts a chip
drive sale to get $. He wants Lan to help distribute posters to navis in the
CyberWorld. Get 20 "HigsbyAds" (OMG it's a item you receive with more than 8
letters!) from Nanako. You need to distribute at least 10. She threatens to
beat the (insert expletive deleted) if you refuse. Jack into the CyberWorld and
find navis all over the place. I made the mistake of not going to PCs (Mayl,
JomonElec, etc.) Here's the first 11:

Area |Location
---------|---------------------------------------------------------------------
ACDCArea1|Mr. Prog near Mayl's P-Code security cube
ACDCArea1|NormalNavi near the AquaManBeta set appearance (see AquaMan scenario)
---------|---------------------------------------------------------------------
ACDCArea2|HealNavi near the merchant (you can see him as you enter ACDCArea2)
ACDCArea2|Mr. Prog in the center square or rectangle or whatever
ACDCArea2|Navi in the opposite corner of the square
---------|---------------------------------------------------------------------
ACDCArea3|Check the main path and find the navi looking at FireMan's portal (
         |see FireMan scenario)
---------|---------------------------------------------------------------------
TownArea1|Navi near connection to TownArea2
---------|---------------------------------------------------------------------
TownArea2|Navi near the JomonElec link
TownArea2|Navi at the other end of the C-Slider line
---------|---------------------------------------------------------------------
TownArea3|Mr. Prog along the path looking down into the square below
TownArea3|HealNav at ParkArea end of C-Slider line
---------|---------------------------------------------------------------------

More locations to come.

Return to the shop. Nanako will give you a reward equivalent to your rate of
distribution (I got 11 and a TripCrak * :( ). Cone enters the store, telling
you to give up, and it's too late. NumberMan has now been imprisoned in the
warehouse in TownArea1. Go there to find NumberMan screaming for help behind
the door. Jack out, go to Nanako, and she'll give you HigsbyKy, and tells you
that there's a second door that needs a code. Go back, unlock the first door,
and answer questions (here are my three):

"Hi! = He _ _ _!=====> (enter 110)
x=3 y=4, xyx=====> (enter 343)
12, 10, 8, ?, ?, ?=====> (enter 642)

Find NumberMan who is no longer under attack (dammit) and he'll thank you.
He'll jack out, and so should you. Go back to Higsby's shop and Cone says that
he wants to destroy the shop. However, kids rush in, saying that Higsby's shop
is better than anything that could be there. Cone retreats, so both you and
Higsby go to the DenDome for your battle:

Easy: NumberMan (?00 HP) Hard: NumberManAlpha (????) Super Hard: NumberManBeta:
(1300 HP)

Whip him good. He tells you that it was a great battle and applauds your skill.
You will earn NumberSoul.

NumberSoul
----------
Unite with what Type of Chip: Variable (indicated by a +/-)
Abilities:
-Charged shot is a die who has a 3X3 radius of blowing up and does 10 times the
number on the die.
-You get 10 chips at your custom screen (the dark chip slots are gone)

-----------------
8f. The Champion!
-----------------
After the three battles, you are crowned the Den Champion (fanfare plays)!
You get a trophy which is probably as big as Lan's head (notice I said head
and not ego). You receive outstanding merit and applause, and Lan is only all
too welcome to accept it. Figure it's time to go home after a hectic day of
battles.

----------------------
8g. Rest for the Weary
----------------------
You go home, knowing that you were crowned victor. You can spend this time
jacking into devices to collect BMDs, and also get praise from friends and
family. Then, go to sleep.

===============================
9. Chapter 3-Lessons of Love...
===============================
--------------------------------------------
9a. What's Wrong? The DarkChip, that's What!
--------------------------------------------
First, we turn to NAXA, where Dr. Regal pours over the asteroid's data
furiously. He takes a walk, trying to calm himself.
                            ***MEANWHILE***
You wake up the next morning, and hear about another tournament, the Eagle
Tournament. Further information will be provided later. You go to the park,
and reminisce about what Higsby said about the DarkChip. MegaMan tells him to
forget about it, when Mayl enters the scene.

------------------------
9b. What Does Mayl Want?
------------------------
Mayl wonders what's been with Lan for the last week. Replying that he's been
preoccupied, Mayl tells him to come by later, so they can explore the Net
together (aw, it ain't a date...not just yet). Go by her house later and she
will tell you to jack into her PC. She'll give you her P-Code, so proceed to
TownArea3, where Roll is. Not a hard task. When you get there, Roll tells you
that something's going down.

-------------------------
9c. Revelations: Castillo
-------------------------
There's an orange navi nearby, offering FreePasses to those who can beat his
set of viruses. Well, Roll is excited, and she "coerces" you to fight on her
behalf...go ahead and fight. After all, where better to go on a first
"outing"?

(Easy)
1. 3 MettEX (one has a [?])
2. 2 MelodyEX
3. MettEX, MelodyEX, Gaia
(Hard)
1. 3 Mett2EX (one has a [?])
2. 2 HellodyEX
3. Mett2EX, HellodyEX, Gaia+
(Super Hard)
1. 3 Mett3EX (one has a [?])
2. 2 FelonyEX
3. Mett3EX, FelonyEX, GaiaMega

Once you win, you'll receive the FreePasses, and the navi will practically
shudder in fear of your technique. Jack out, and converse with Mayl. Lan
assumes that she'll want to take Yai and he can go with his dad some other
day, but Mayl has other plans. Before she can tell you her intentions, your
doghouse alarm goes off! To The Lan-Cave! (plays Batman theme here)

------------
9d. ALARM!!!
------------
Once home, clamber up to your room and find your mom tied up in a corner and
saturated with sleeping gas. How awful!....As you investigate, no money or
property was swiped...what upstanding burglar would bust into a house and not
have the temptation to grab anything? Anyway, inspect your PC, and you'll
find a message on the screen: "You've been warned, Lan. We can easily do
much worse. If you don't want those you care for to get hurt more, bring the
DarkChip to ParkArea2."

---------------------
9e. To The Park Area!
---------------------
Mkay, standard-issue threatening note, threat of bodily harm to family and
friends, anyone know where ParkArea2 is? Never fear, for the scouting has
already been done! Head on over to Town Area 3, taking the "scenic route" so
that you earn cash and chips for the machine, and stop at the end of the main
road, in front of the giant pink door. Apparently you need a password to open
the door, and shooting at it doesn't work. A navi runs around and accuses you
of trying to break in. Before MegaMan can explain his work, the navi hops
into battle. Foolish little guy.

(Easy) NormalNaviAlpha (300 HP) (Hard) NormalNaviBeta (800 HP) (Super Hard)
NormalNaviOmega (1200 HP)
You should have no trouble here. YOu should have LifeSwd by now, use it! It
is incredibly useful in the early game.

Anyway, once you knock him down, you'll find a shred of data that says:

AJEKDUR
2437561

Well, letters and numbers. Each vertical pair is to be treated as a unit.
Rearrange the bottom row to be in ascending order, and you get the password.
Enter RAEJDUK, and you can pop in. Head to the upper-left corner, and find a
BMD with RegUp2. Anyway, try to head over to a link, and enter Park Area 2.
Enter the warp pad, and make the first right. Find the navi at the end, and
jump into the fray.

(Easy) HealNavi (100 HP), 2 MettEX (Hard) HealNaviAlpha (300 HP), 2 Mett2EX
(Super Hard) HealNaviBeta (500 HP), 2 Mett3EX

Once you're done, he'll reveal himself to be a part of the DarkChip crime
syndicate, Nebula (Yay! Now we have another syndicate to topple!) He'll get
that chip sooner or later (man he's desperate!) and he'll jack out. Jack out
as well.

--------------------------------
9f. Setting A Date For Your Date
--------------------------------
Mayl calls you, and wants you to go to Castillo with you. Your mom insists
that you go, so head over there, but before you do, good ol' father sends you
an e-mail. It's none other than the: RETURN OF THE NAVI CUSTOMIZER!
Hallelujah, or is it? You're forced to do the tutorial (DAMN IT!) like the
one in BN3. After you calibrate it, go back to her house, as the train won't
take you there. She tells you that she wanted to go with you, (ooh, score!),
so run over to Castillo via train, and find Mayl, who already went ahead.

--------------------------
9g. Castillo, Here I Come!
--------------------------
Luckily, you aren't that late, so head on in. However, something's disrupting
the rides, and it looks like a virus is the cause. Lan to the rescue! Jack
into the nearby cart and head into the Net and proceed to ParkArea3. You have
to pick up the P-Code first, so talk to the green navi in that PC. You should
eventually find one navi standing over another, so continue down that path to
find a panel, but viruses infected it:

(Easy) 3 Shrimpy (Hard) 3 Shrimpy2 (Super Hard) 3 Shrimpy3

Wax 'em fast and jack out. Before you talk to Mayl, jack into the second ice
cream cart to get a HP Memory (Super Hard: 1300 zennys). When you talk to
her, she'll notice the rides are up (no really). She however wants you to get
her ice cream.

----------------------------------------------
9h. Lessons of Love Part 1: Spend On Your Date
----------------------------------------------
Ok, remember the rules of love. You're the guy, so spend on your date. Get
her the ice cream, but you're surprised to see that Nanako, Higsby's worker,
is here. She claims the pay is better (and who wouldn't take work in an
amusement park over a small self-established chip shop?). She'll give you
free ice cream as a bribe :) Anyway, give Mayl the ice cream, and she'll want
to go on the rides.

----------------------------------------------------
9i. Lessons of Love Part 2: Don't Disagree With Them
----------------------------------------------------
Typical girl. Anyway, you must learn the second rule: Conflict is no good for
a relationship. Ok, ride with her on everything she wants, and after the
second one, she'll want to keep exploring. Go to MelSquare, right below, and
enter the Vampire Manor (fitting name). All of a sudden, Mayl will be chased
by the Halberd Princess. (You are almost complete with your lessons of love.)

------------------------------------------------------
9j. Lessons of Love Part 3: Save Your Date From Danger
------------------------------------------------------
Both of you will run out of the Manor, but before you subdue the robot, check
out the Django picture in the Manor, and take the GunSol1 G chip (short for
Gun Del Sol, Django's most prized vampire-hate weapon). Quickly, jack into
the robot, and take a ride.

------------------------------
9k. Castillo Bots; Their Story
------------------------------
The four robots are mechanized by a single switch (pretty much asking to be
hacked), but viruses have destroyed parts of the story data, so you must
piece it together. (If you paid attention, there are mini-story tidbits on
the posts outside the rides)

---------------------
9ka. Halberd Princess
---------------------
The first stop will tell the story (I'm too lazy to write it out) and you
need the data piece "Mirror". However, grab the BMD for 1400 zennys (Hard
Mode: RegUP 1, Super Hard: HP Memory). Plug it in, and proceed to the second
part of the story. The BMD here should contain a NCP (Navi Customizer
Program) HP+50 (Pink) (Hard Mode: 3200 zennys, Super Hard: 1000 zennys). Grab
the data "BigTree" and plug it in. The third part of the story needs the
piece of data "MightyBl", but remember to grab the BMD containing a RegUP 1
(Hard Mode: Counter3 V, Super Hard: M-Cannon G). You will come to the button,
and as you turn it off, viruses will turn it back on (how lame).

(Easy) BillyEX [?], MelodyEX (Hard) SillyEX, HellodyEX (SUper Hard) KillyEX,
FelonyEX

After they are defeated, the Halberd Princess is stopped. You think that
everything is alright, having stopped the robot attacking your date, but the
WzDog bot is out of control. Jack into it and you will undergo a similar
experience.

----------
9kb. WzDog
----------
Jack into WzDog, and take the ride. The first chapter, grab the data WzMonkey
and also the BMD containing a RockCube * (Hard Mode: 1500 zennys, Super Hard:
1 BugFrag). Move along and grab the BMD with an HP Memory (Hard Mode: 1
BugFrag, Super Hard: BugBomb B). Pick up the data "MagicSel", and continue to
the third part. There is yet another BMD, containing a Vulcan2 B (Hard Mode:
Recov150 C, Super Hard: 2200 zennys), and grab two data pieces: "GoodNose"
and "Scratch". Insert these pieces of data into the story in this order. You
will come to the button, and yet again the viruses turn it on as you turn it
off.

(Easy) MettEX, 2 BillyEX (Hard) Mett2EX, 2 SillyEX (Super Hard) Mett3EX, 2
KillyEX

When done, another robot is out of control. Jack into the TinMan robot.

-----------
9kc. TinMan
-----------
When in, follow the river path. For Chapter 1, grab "War" and "Emotion" and
place them in that order. Go to Chapter 2. The BMD here will contain a NCP
Charge +1 (? color) (Hard Mode: HP Memory, Super Hard: NCP HP+300 Yellow).
Get "Bird" and "Dance" and put them in that order. You will continue when
viruses attack the raft:

(Easy) Dharma, Spikey, SpikeyEX
(Hard) Karma, Spikey2, Spikey2EX
(Super Hard) Dogma, Spikey3, Spikey3EX

The operator will remark that it never happened before (a likely story) and
continues to Chapter 3. The BMD gives you a RegUP 2 (Hard Mode: NCP Attack+1
White, Super Hard: 1 BugFrag). Grab the data "ToyPart". You come to the
switch, and yet again, fight the viruses on the switch.

(Easy) 2 MelodyEX, SpikeyEX
(Hard) 2 HellodyEX, Spikey2EX
(Super Hard) 2 FelonyEX, Spikey3EX

As you fix it, Mayl calls you and tells you to stop the rogue bot who entered
the manor.

--------------------------------
9kd. Django The Solar Boy/Dracky
--------------------------------
It's pitch black, but just navigate by the walls (the light doesn't matter at
all). Jack into the Vampire robot. This robot comp is much different as there
is a river of lava and the raft operator seems to be a shady character.
MegaMan feels an oddly dark presence but ignores it. The first part needs the
two data pieces, in this order: "GunSol" and "CrmScarf". Plug them in, and
you move onto part 2. The BMD here is an HP Memory (Super Hard: RegUP 1).
Grab "Otenko" and move onto the third part. Get "Sunlight". Then, you come to
a twisting path. Choose "Apple" and proceed to the final wall. The BMD here
has a Recov80 J (Super Hard: Vulcan3 W). Grab "Skylight" and "Taiyohhh!"
(heh, what a stupid battle-cry). Before the end, another virus battle hits
the raft:

(Easy) MettEX, VolGearEX, Gaia
(Hard) Mett2EX, VulGearEX, Gaia+
(Super Hard) Mett3EX, ValGearEX, GaiaMega

When that is done, run down and turn off the switch...hey, wait a second,
ain't no switch here!

-----------------------
9l. ShadeMan v. MegaMan
-----------------------
The raft operator innocently gets off and asks if there's a problem. He
reveals himself as ShadeMan after admitting to destroying the switch.
ShadeMan insists on the DarkChip's return, and MegaMan dodges an attack. Lan
and MegaMan confide briefly, and it looks like he'll return the chip to
ShadeMan (Now, y'all might be thinkin', "What is he thinking?"). As he tosses
it, he uses his MegaBuster to destroy the data. ShadeMan is furious at this
slight and engages you in battle:

(Easy) ShadeMan: 500 HP (Hard) ShadeManAlpha: 800 HP (Super Hard) ShadeManBeta
1100 HP
Just like in the ElTwrCmp, use your buster on him, as chips will have no
effect. MegaMan is worried that nothing can stop him, and all of a sudden,
when you activate the Custom Screen, the screen darkens, revealing two chips
at the bottom, both DarkSwrd chips. They are able to do 500 damage and have
an area of 2 columns X 3 rows. If you look at the description it will be:
DARKCHIP CREATED BY DESIRE.
(!!NOTE!! ALL DARKCHIPS WITH FORCED USE IN SCENARIOS WILL NOT DEDUCT 1 HP
PERMANENTLY)

Defeat him, and ShadeMan will merely say that his mission was accomplished,
forcing MegaMan's use of the DarkChip. He tells him that it will unlock a
dark soul within him and he dies. MegaMan jacks out and you come out, finding
that Chaud has arrived to investigate.

-----------------------------
9m. Chaud...You're A Bit Late
-----------------------------
Chaud's timing is excellent :) Anyway, he'll ask who the culprit is. You'll
tell him that ShadeMan controlled these and you deleted him with a DarkChip.
Chaud is taken aback about this development. He tells you the horrific events
of using a DarkChip. It costs 1 life for each use, and they unlock an evil
inside the navi that used it. He'll also mention the Crime Syndicate Nebula,
and their illegal use of them, but will leave you to escaping the scene
without harrassment. Anyway, go home and worry your ass off about what Chaud
said.

-------------------------
9n. Embrace The Dark Side
-------------------------
Lan is seriously affected (mentally) by the possible adverse affects of the
DarkChips. He swears that he will never ever use a DarkChip again, yet desire
may disagree with him. Go home and sleep on a good day's work.

==============================
10. Chapter 4-Eagle Tournament
==============================
-----------------------
10a. How Do I Register?
-----------------------
The next morning, you sit downstairs, when your doorbell is rang. An official
arrives and explains to you that they are hosting the Eagle Tournament :)
(another chance to show off). The official gives you a point and your screen
registers a counter. You need 50 points to enter the tournament. When you
collect them, talk to the man in front of Castillo.

--------------------------------------
10b. Passing The Registration-Castillo
--------------------------------------
So, you need 50 points, huh. Accordingly, they're scattered all across the
Cyberworld, in various PCs, and in the real world. Most guides have at least
found 65 points, and my guide has only found 66.

            |Mett3EX, KillyEX, TrumpEX
------------|----------------------------------------------------------------
5 points |In the warp point in TownArea2 that leads to ElTwrComp, an orange
            |navi will give you 5 points if you give her a Cannon C.
This is all I know. If you can send me anything, I will note you.

When you collect 50+ points, talk to the man in front of the castle. He will
give you Fldr2 (EASY) and you receive an e-mail from JomonElectric. They will
give you their banner, allowing access between Lan's HP and JomonElec's HP
(how convenient). Run inside the castle, as you are the last one and check the
pairings.

-----------------------------------
10c. Opponents: Multiple Storylines
-----------------------------------
Yet again, there are multiple storylines. I am still complete without a
couple, and would be thankful to anyone who would send me data about these
(NORMAL MODE FIRST).

-----------------------
10ca. Love Match (Mayl)
-----------------------
So, you're fighting Roll. I never imagined her a fighting navi. Anyway, we'll
have a cutscene with Yai asking why Mayl joined the tourney. She said that it
was easy to collect the 50 points due to Roll's speed, but there was no way
she would be able to defeat MegaMan. Despite that, she wants to train with
Glide in the ParkArea. You leave the Castillo when Yai tells you Roll's been
kidnapped. Jack into the cart nearby, and hurry over to ParkArea1 (prior to
this, get CastilloBanner). Go down the path, and talk to Glide. He'll inform
you of the situation.
                       ***MEANWHILE IN PARK AREA 3***
A green navi (NormNavi) holds Roll hostage around a bunch of Mettaur. He
claims to want to "protect" her from MegaMan, who hates him for his hotshot
skills. He tells her that he will go NetShopping and that if she tries to
escape, his little friends will attack.

Pervertish scene. Run over to ACDCArea2 and go to the vendor. Another navi
stands there (it's him), and he'll mention that he wants to buy Roll a gift.
MegaMan catches on, and he unleashes viruses on you. What a pussy! If he
really loved Roll (and was a real man), he would have fought MegaMan and have
been deleted for his "lost cause" (I mean, if you battled as a normal navi
against a champion and hero of Netopia, you're pretty muched screwed up the
ass.)

(Easy) Weather, 2 LarkEX
(Hard) Winger, 2 BarkEX
(Super Hard) Wither, 2 TarkEX

He'll beg for mercy when you wax his viruses and gives you his code. Run back
to ParkArea3, go up the second to last ramp (from your point of view). Follow
the long path with arrows, and go left after that to unlock the door. Roll
seems fine now, as she managed to tame the Mettaurs while he was gone.
MegaMan tells her to come to the battle, and she says that she'll wait a bit
longer. She practices a RollCharm attack, making the viruses attracted to her
(also allowing her to summon them). She perfects her technique. Anyway, hurry
back to Castillo. As you enter, Roll e-mails you, wanting to play a game in
the teddy bear in Mayl's house. Run back and jack in. There's a MiniBomb *
there, but she wants to play tag. Catch her three times to win. Each time, it
progressively gets harder (you talk to her when she stops to catch her).
After that, run back to the battle.

(Easy) Roll (700 HP) (Hard) RollAlpha (1000 HP) (Super Hard) RollBeta (1300
HP)
Attacks: RollArrow: 50 damage/destroys chip data you hold. Her headband hits
three times in an area one space ahead of her.

Defeat her, she'll respect the fact you won, and Yai will console her. Yai
then tells you that a "certain SOMEONE has always saved her, and one day she
would like to save that SOMEONE". Lan, an entirely clueless nutbag, wonders
who Yai's talkin' about. Anyway, you get RollSoul out of the battle (RS).
Continue on.

RollSoul
--------
Unite with what type of Chip: Recovery (indicated by two overlapping hearts)
Abilities:
-Charged attack is a RollArrow that does 30 damage (and destroys data).
-Whenever you use a non-Recovery chip, you gain 10% of your maximum life (If
you had 400 HP, you'd gain 40 HP at a time).

--------------------------------------------------------
10cb. AUI: Acting Under Influence...of Rice Wine (Lilly)
--------------------------------------------------------
So you're fighting WindMan. As you think about it, his operator appears. Her
name is Lilly. She mentions that she is a "god" from where she comes from,
and that she looks forward to the battle. Her navi, WindMan, is a powerful
entity, which is controlled by a GrasFlut. You leave, hungry for food, and
she herself gets thirsty. Taking a big swig out of her drinking flask, she
gets tipsy, meaning only one thing...drunk. Meanwhile, Lan figures he can get
home before the battle begins, so he tries to head home. All of a sudden,
there's a scream. Lan comes in, tracking the scream to MelSquare. There,
Lilly is being attacked by the Dracky-bot (another attack). Jack in and ride
to the end of ToyComp4. Subdue the viruses:

(Easy) MettEX, Weather, VacuFan
(Hard) Mett2EX, Winger, VacuFan2
(Super Hard) Mett3EX, Wither, VacuFan3

After defeating the viruses, the machine stops. She's alright, despite her
appearance (red face and X eyes). He runs off, and Lilly remarks that the
plan failed. Meanwhile, you are outside of Castillo, and need to send your
mom a message that you're coming home for lunch. As you compose the message,
a crazy, drunken-ass lady (Lilly) runs by, and "accidentally" hits you,
forcing you to drop the PET in the fountain. Rescue the PET to find that
there's no damage. Run home. Lilly, hidden behind a building, realizes her
next plan has failed and that her final plan must be released: letting
WindMan run amok to draw MegaMan in. Go home, and your mother asks when such
a letter was sent home. Then, you remember that you never sent it. She'll
make you something. As you finish up, Lilly enters (sobered up). She tells
you that WindMan is out of control, and that the only one who could have
released WindMan's control was herself. Then, she recalls that she has no
memory of anything after your conversation in the castle (hangover!). She
hands you the GrasFlut to stop WindMan's madness w/ it, so run over to your
comp and jack in. Go thru the Castillo banner (if you have it), and enter the
ParkArea, to find it a destabilized storm. A navi (Mr. Prog) comes by and
tells you that the area here is unsafe when a twister picks him up and spins
him away (I love this animation). Dodge the twisters carefully and head to
the Castillo control panel in ParkArea3, where WindMan is out of control.
Play the GrasFlut and the storms stop. He and you jack out, and head back to
the battle at Castillo. There, Lilly will thank you for stopping her navi.
Return the GrasFlut, and go into the battle. Lilly, yet again, gets thirsty
and bongs more liquid out of her flask. She goes drunk, yet again. She enters
the arena, drunk, but still, you battle:

(Easy) WindMan (?00 HP) (Hard) WindManAlpha (1200 HP) (Super Hard) WindManBeta
(??00 HP)
Attacks: Launches mines that act like Ratton chips from BN1, 2, 3. Uses a
Wind/Fan effect, and can summon a number of repeated tornados in a square two
spaces ahead. Can summon lots of birds to attack (don't force flinching).

When you finish the battle, Lilly sobers up again, and WindMan tells her that
the flask contained rice wine. She regrets her inability to remember anything
that happened after a swig, so she leaves, needing more NetBattle practice and
an AA group, stat! You will earn WindSoul (RS).

WindSoul
--------
Unite with what type of Chip: Wind (indicated by a cloud)
Abilities:
-Automatically summons a NrthWind to remove all auras.
-Fan effect all throughout your unison with WindMan.
-Buster becomes a slow AirShot attack for 5 damage.
-Charged attack becomes a WindRack (AirSword in BN3) for 50 damage.
-No negative effects from panels (AirShoes and FloatShoes)

----------------------------------------
10cc. Cooking In Sync With Navis (Flave)
----------------------------------------
You find out that you're fighting a NormNavi, which eases your worries. You
walk around, and wander into MelSquare, where he is cooking curry for people.
Everyone but Lan loves it. Lan agrees that it has awesome flavor, but prefers
his mother's curry. Flave is offended and eventually challenges Lan to a
CookingBattle. Lan, caught up in the moment, instantly agrees. He regrets it
as he walks back out, and he receives an anonymous e-mail about practice with
curry cooking in ParkArea2. Attached to the mail is a ChefKey. Run over to
ParkArea2, but before going to the warp point, double back and unlock the
barrier. A navi was ordered by the Cooking Master to help you. Practice in
the Dojo about cooking curry with the machine:

Phase 1: Cut all ingredients except meat with the B button. Let the meat fall
by.
Phase 2: Repeat Phase 1, but use the A button to blow away viruses.
Phase 3: Cut up the curry, and push away the viruses.

If you successfully pass, you will need to find ingredients. Go to ParkArea3,
and, where you fixed the Castillo rides, talk to the bad navi. You'll undergo
three battles:
(Easy)
Battle 1: 2 MagTect, ShrimpyEX
Battle 2: MettEX, BillyEX, ShrimpyEX
Battle 3: 2 Shrimpy, ShrimpyEX
(Hard)
Battle 1: 2 MagTec+, Shrimpy2EX
Battle 2: Mett2EX, SillyEX, Shrimpy2EX
Battle 3: 2 Shrimpy2, Shrimpy2EX
(Super Hard)
Battle 1: 2 MagTecX, Shrimpy3EX
Battle 2: Mett3EX, KillyEX, Shrimpy3EX
Battle 3: 2 Shrimpy3, Shrimpy3EX

He'll send the ingredients to MelSquare. Get back to the Cooking Dojo, and
talk to him. He will verify everything. Jack out and head off to MelSquare.
Everything is prepared, so battle by repeating what you did in practice. The
judge is the 70 year old Master Chef of the 200 Year Old Electopian Cooks,
Mr. Tabezo. Flave's curry has a special ingredient, bean paste, that Tabezo
loves. However, if you succeed in making the better curry, he'll freeze a
second, and his wife Satoko appears. He'll have this crazy vision, and you
are the victor because of...TENDERNESS. Wtf? Must mean emotion. Flave is in
disbelief and you'll battle him at the Castillo.

(Easy) NormNaviAlpha[?] (500 HP) (Hard) NormNaviBeta[?] (800 HP) (Super Hard)
NormNaviOmega[?] (1200 HP)
Attacks: WideSword, Cannon, CrosBomb, Blinder, and can summon viruses:
Fanfare, Discord, Wind.

Kill him and be the winner. Flave, again, realizes that he couldn't have
lost. Then, he accepts tenderness (this is some grade-a bullcrap). He wants
to become the best cook and walks off. Move on.

---------------------------------
10cd. tneserP eht ot kcaB (Viddy)
---------------------------------
NOTE: If you haven't figured it out already, just flip the title backwards.

You find out that your next enemy is VideoMan. His operator jumps from the
roof or something and asks if you are willing to give up the Eagle Tourney
(HELL NO!!!) Then, she'll act like a drama queen, mentioning the near-death
with her navi. She mentions that she wants to bury him in a happy part of the
Net. She leaves. Pursue her, and jack into the nearby cart, and run to where
ParkArea1 meets ParkArea2. VideoMan is there, and Viddy explains that she
lured you here. VideoMan raises his hands and hits you (as he would put it):

"Time passes, time crawls
 Time doesn't move at all."
-Tempest block "Static Orb" from Magic the Gathering

You're frozen in place. MegaMan can't move, allowing VideoMan to strike again
with something called Rewind. When you're hit, the Pause effect ends, and
MegaMan detects something's wrong. His controls are reversed. VideoMan brings
up three videos, telling him that if he can locate them, it will reset his
controls. He hides them in ParkArea3, TownArea2, and ACDCArea2.

1. In ParkArea3, head to the back where the Castillo control panel is.
Avoiding the three rewind arrows maybe difficult but you will get Video1 from
this.

2. From the Castillo HP, go thru your banner and JomonElec's banner. Video2
is near the door requiring TownKyDt.

3. In ACDCArea2, go to where Shuko's door is (yes, it is a bit tricky) and
procure Video3.

When you have obtained all of them, your normal controls return. Jack out and
hustle to the battle arena. Fight VideoMan now:

(Easy) VideoMan (800 HP) (Hard) VideoManAlpha (1100 HP) (Super Hard)
VideoManBeta (1400 HP)
Attacks: Has two strips of VCR tape running down columns 3 and 4, each having
1 HP. Can create a swirling tape roller-thingy.
Rewind-VideoMan regains HP.
FastFrwd-VideoMan picks up speed.

When you defeat her, the navi and the op argue with who gets stuck with the
blame of losing. She is hushed out of the arena.

------------------------------------------------
10ce. It's Gettin' Hot In Here, So Hot! (Atsuke)
------------------------------------------------
C'mon, I know you can do the Electric Slide...oh wait a sec, I'm talking
about Head of State here. Whoops, I'm a bit off track. Anyway, you find out
you're fighting BurnMan. It sounds like a fire navi. Mr. Match appears to see
who has the guts to operate a fire navi. Atsuke appears, revealing himself as
the op of BurnMan. They get into a heated debate. Anyway, you figure they'll
settle their problems fast because of the competition. Leave Castillo to get
a mail from your mom informing you of the fact that your computer is smoking
(take it in the correct context). Run home, and talk to mom to get a WaterGun
(how pathetic). Jack in and watch as MegaMan cannot fight the flames back
with a water gun. You need to find someone. Run over to Higsby. Your mom
informed him of the situation and he gives you FireBstr, an attachment that
allows your buster to fire blasts of water (can't do it against a virus).
Charge the power of it by pressing the B button when the gauged power is
high. If you manage to get full power, all the fires will be doused. If you
do not put out the fires, the flames will singe you for about 5 damage. Put
out the ones in ACDCArea1 (there are two) and it seems their fight is over.
Run back to Castillo. As you enter it, you'll smell something. Smoke!
Smoke=Fire. Run over to the cart, jack in, and get to the ParkArea to find it
ablaze. Run down to the split, and put out the fires to the right. Double
back and go up the curvy path, putting out fires as you go. Go to ParkArea2.
Warp over and put out the fire directly in your view. Follow the path to
ParkArea3, putting out fires as you move by. Follow back to the Castillo
maintenance platform, where BurnMan and FireMan are battling. They start up
fires, but MegaMan eggs on BurnMan, and you have to fight him to prove your
worth (Atsuke thinks that you're nothing).

(Easy) BurnMan (700 HP) (Hard) BurnManAlpha (1100 HP) (Super Hard) BurnManBeta
(1500 HP)
Attacks: He has two personal blowtorches that move up and down and attack
like the lance weapon. He can shoot a flame down a row three spaces (reaches
like a HeroSwrd). He can also dash down the row and cast a flamethrower down
that row as he dashes.

Beat him good, and Atsuke is really pissed. He tries to set the arena aflame,
but he sets himself on fire. He blazes out of the arena.

-----------------------------------------
10cf. Strength in a CyberBoulder (Tamako)
-----------------------------------------
So you're fighting MetalMan. Lan briefly thinks about how it must be a strong
name but weak body, and Tamako enters (for some reason, she doesn't remember
you from BN3), informing him to try a challenge in Castillo. She exits the
castle, boggling Lan. Run after her to MelSquare, and there will be a big
boulder. She tells Lan to imagine that it is MetalMan and to punch it. Lan duly
refuses and tells her that there is no way he could break the rock. She retorts
that if she imagines it is MegaMan, she can shatter it. So she does, and hurts
her hand. Lan thinks he's right, but Tamako accuses you of not being ready for
the tourney battle. If you want to earn her respect, find her master in
TownArea4. She gives you GateData, and so you jack into the net, and find your
way to the 2 doors in TownArea2 on the bottom. Open up the left one, and follow
the path to a navi, who will explain that if you want to try for his trust, he
wants something to drink. Get it in Park Area. Run over to ParkArea1 and find
the navi who will sell you "VirusCln" at a cost which I can't remember. Buy it
and return to the master. Just answer him yes, and he'll call you a lying idjit
for not bringing a drink. Re-scour Park1 and go to the highest part to buy
"CybJerky" at the cost of a Spreader * chip (NMSRP: 3800 zennys). Return, and
the master will let you challenge him. Time the rocks with the B button and
break each one. Incorrect timing will lead to a stun that may cost you about 3
to 5 seconds. Succeed and jack out and return to Tamako in front of the ice
cream cart. MetalMan is inside waiting for you. Jack in and beat him three
times in a rock-crushing challenge (damnedly difficult). Yellow/gold rocks are
the easiest to break, then gray, then dark gray. She then thinks you are ready,
so return to the battle dome to fight:

(Easy) MetalMan (800 HP) (Hard) MetalManAlpha (1200 HP) (Super Hard)
MetalManBeta (1600 HP)

Smack him good, avoid the gears and the tossed gears. Win and she'll actually
develop this respect for you. BM players earn MetalSoul at this juncture.

MetalSoul
---------
Unite with what Type of Chip: Guard-Breaking (indicated by a sphere)
Abilities:
-Charged shot is a punch (like the MetalMan battlechip) one space ahead
-You can (like AquaSoul) charge up normal and guard-breaking chips to do twice
as much damage by holding A down.
-???

--------------------------------------------------------
10cg. Return of the NetMafia, and it ain't Gospel (Riki)
--------------------------------------------------------
You are facing a HealNavi named Crusher. His operator Riki appears and
introduces himself as a strong-man but a kind soul. He seems alright, but
outside, he is confronted by an old woman, who tells him that he should be next
in line to succeed power in the Mafia (OK, OK, another Sopranos lookalike). He
says that it never was his will to control a group of hoodlums and wanted to
start a bakery (what a pansy). Anyway, he reiterates that Crusher is the only
thing that makes him strong. The old woman, oblivious to the fact that he was
in a NetBattle competition, snatched his PET and told him that if he won the
battle, he would be able to take his own path. (*laughs* Old Lady, he needs the
PET to win in the first place, you old hag)

Lan finds Riki outside, and he says that his navi was taken away and hidden in
ParkArea3. Jack into the cart nearby, and MegaMan will observe that the area is
crawling in Mafia navis. Avoid their sight by traveling when their patrols take
them down a different path. If however you are discovered, you will be returned
to the beginning of that area. Slink over to the control area in ParkArea3 to
see Crusher trapped. MegaMan breaks open the cage, and they jack out.

Riki is thankful about it, but two Mafia thugs come up and face them. He says
that Crusher should be returned to their custody or they would see some serious
violence (like there hasn't been a lot in this game?) They are just about to
attack when the old lady-boss of the Mafia arrives and relieves them of duty,
and allows Riki to use his navi in battle. Go to the castle for your battle.

(Easy) HealNaviAlpha (500 HP) (Hard) HealNaviBeta (800 HP) (Super Hard)
HealNaviOmega (1200 HP)

Kick his ass and he'll admit that he wasn't able to do it. THe old lady comes
to him, and she tells him that he did his best and he can go his own way. Riki
leaves a happy mafia man.

--------------------------------
10ch. Naturalize or Terror (Sal)
--------------------------------
Hmm...an old friend...Sal! Exit the castle to receive an e-mail from her. She's
selling sandwiches in ACDC Park. Jet over there and have a chat. After lunch
and a nice conversation, both she and you notice the mayor and an old man with
plans to wreck the park for a more industrial area (similar to ElecTown). Sal
grimaces at this, and she receives an e-mail. She asks for directions to
ElecSquare, so follow her. As you enter the Square, she'll be talking to two
subordinates. They intend to deploy CyberBombs as a means of stopping work. Lan
overhears this and talks to Sal, who explains that a shady navi has been going
to her homepage and leaving a "dark" influence on them. She realizes that they
are headed for a naturalist's way, but doesn't need to get there by terrorism.
She asks you for a favor to go to the DenDome and find if the Mayor's speech
would be impeded by a CyberBomb. Make haste getting there, burst into the
battle room with disregard, push aside the old fool, and jack in to find a navi
who intends to stop you:

(E): MagTect, 2 Walla
(H): MagTec+, 2 Walland
(SH): MagTecX, 2 Waldon

Defeat them, and you receive an e-mail from Sal who is at Castillo. She's lost
contact with WoodMan, last sighted at the ParkArea. Watch a cutscene where the
shady navi threatens WoodMan and forces him to defend against any intruders.
Jack into the ParkArea, and try to head forward past the path under the ramp
from the Castillo PC. MegaMan narrowly avoids being shish-kabobed on a WoodTowr
and you need to tread softly. These towers do damage (SH=90) so watch your step
and check for patterns. Get to the end of the path and find WoodMan, working
against his will. He comes to his senses when the evil navi returns, trying to
plant a final CyberBomb to defeat you, but WoodMan impales the bomb beneath the
navi, defeating him. Jack out and talk to Sal, and both of you head into the
battle.

Easy: WoodMan (?000 HP) Hard: WoodManAlpha (??00 HP) Super Hard: WoodManBeta
(2000 HP)

Well, he's easy but the guy must have like HP+500 programs up the wazoo! Anyway
you should defeat him and Sal leaves, respecting your skills, but also leaving
Lan with a greater respect for nature. You earn WoodSoul, BM players!

WoodSoul
--------
Unite with What Type of Chip: Wood (indicated by a leaf)
Abilities:
-GrassStyle effect from BN3 (stand on a grass panel, regenerate HP)
-Charged shot is GrassStyle charge shot from BN3 (tornado)
-SuperSprArmor (I think you can't be stunned)
-Take twice as much damage from Fire

-------------------------------------------
10d. Eagle Tourney Champion...Saves The Day
-------------------------------------------
After three battles, you are declared as champion. As you leave with the
trophy, the crime syndicate Nebula strikes! You are forced to jack in or
Nebula will destroy Castillo. Jack into the BattleComp. You run forward and
find nobody. All of a sudden, a dark rift opens and a navi appears.

-----------------------------------
10e. LaserMan: The Leader of Nebula
-----------------------------------
He calls himself LaserMan and forces you to return the DarkChip. You refuse,
and he intends to do more than just reclaim it. Right there and then, GutsMan
jacks in. LaserMan uses this as a perfect opportunity to exploit the powers
of MegaMan's DarkSoul. (For BM players, this will be AquaMan)

--------------------------
10f. Meeting Your DarkSoul
--------------------------
He releases it from MegaMan and infuses it into GutsMan, who battles you (in
a sense, battling yourself).

GutsMDS (stands for GutsManDS): (E) 800 HP (H) 1100 HP (SH) 1300 HP
He uses traditional GutsMan attacks and also absorbs some techniques of your
own, which means that GutsMDS can use BattleChips that you have used,
including PAs (obviously, he's just a dark MegaMan, so he knows your technique
perfectly).

AquaMDS (stands for AquaManDS): HP value unknown, I do not possess BM. See
above for what AquaManDS will attack you with.

Defeat him, and the DarkSoul leaves GutsMan's powerless body. It reintegrates
with you, but you and it stare at each other briefly. LaserMan disappears, his
purpose of filling MegaMan with fright complete. GutsMan's remains jack out,
and Lan becomes worried about the evil DarkSoul.

11. Chapter 5-Learning of the RedSun/BlueMoon Tourney
=====================================================
----------------
11a. NAXA's Plan
----------------
We cut back to NAXA, where Dr. Hikari tries to implement his Red Sun Laser
Gun. He charges up the weapon, and explains that the power is greater than
that the machine can take. It charges to 80%, 95%, 99%, 100%, 110%. A man
worries about this, but Dr. Hikari explains that 200% is what he needs to
deflect the asteroid. It charges to 150%, then 170, 180, 190, and 200%. FIRE!
(imitates laser gun) Hikari tells them that the plan has failed (panic music
plays). Someone SABOTAGED the gun, causing a drop to 120% power. Dr. Hikari
runs to observe the problems, but Dr. Regal mentions his plan, and it
requires the ultimate navi.

--------------
11b. Free Time
--------------
Returning to ACDC Town, the four friends and navis chat. Revealing
"embarrassing" secrets, a navi approaches MegaMan, and invites him to the
RedSun tournament in Netopia. The navi gives you a "Ticket" and you jack out,
needing permission from your mom.
                         ***ONE WEEK LATER***
You're getting ready to go to Netopia.

-----------------------------
11c. Goin' To Netopia...Again
-----------------------------
Go to the airport via train. Then, fly to Netopia. You will get mail to meet
a representative of the tourney by the river. Run down to the statue, where
you meet a black man called Mr. Bonds. He gives you a NetPassPort, and tells
you to sightsee a bit.

---------------------------
11d. Sightseein' In Netopia
---------------------------
Run up those stairs and talk to the lady there. Drive the chocolate bargain
down to 250 zennys. If you want, you may battle viruses with the old man's
special box: 2 Walla, GaiaEX (Hard Mode: 2 Walland, Gaia+EX, Super Hard: 2
Waldon, GaiaMega). Anyway, run to the ruins, and talk to everyone there. There
is a 10-Chip Trader here (Huzzah!) and you can jack into the chariot, but we'll
leave that for later. Talk to everyone around the colosseum and ruins. Return
to Bonds, who will take you to the hotel. He runs to the alley. Lan follows,
but notices a speeding car. MegaMan keeps him on-balance, but it speeds back,
and a man beats up Lan and takes him away.

---------------------------
11e. Getting Mugged...Again
---------------------------
You wake up in a hotel room. The door is locked. You listen in on a
conversation, and that they want to use you as ransom. He also stupidly
mentions that the key data for the locked door is scattered in trap boxes all
over Netopia Area. Jack into the statue in your room.

-----------------------
11f. Escapin' The Hotel
-----------------------
Get the HotelPCd from the green navi in the hotel PC, and search for the
boxes:

KeyDataA: Go up the ramp on your left (from the link) and continue towards
SharoArea. However, there's a box near the continuation. Unlock it, and
fight: (Easy) 2 VolGearEX, MagTectEX (Hard) 2 VulGearEX, MagTec+EX (Super
Hard) 2 ValGearEX, MagTecXEX

KeyDataB: From the PC, go to the right and follow the path that links to
NetFrica. The box is near the continuation, and you fight: (Easy) 2 BillyEX,
BoomerEX (Hard) 2 SillyEX, GloomerEX (Super Hard) 2 KillyEX, DoomerEX

KeyDataC: From here, go down, and travel to the right, then down, then right
(the first possible time you can travel in that direction). Fight: (Easy) 2
LarkEX [?], MagTectEX (Hard) 2 BarkEX [?], MagTec+EX (Super Hard) 2 TarkEX [?]
MagTecXEX

KeyDataD: From the ramp that leads to KeyDataA, go forward instead of up the
ramp and fight: (Easy) 2 ShrimpyEX, BoomerEX (Hard) 2 Shrimpy2EX, GloomerEX
(Super Hard) 2 Shrimpy3EX, DoomerEX

Don't forget to grab to HP Memory (Hard: RegUp 1, Super Hard: 1 BugFrag)
nearby in a BMD. Jack out, and unlock the door.

----------------------
11g. It's All Revealed
----------------------
You try to escape, but the kidnapper comes in. He tries to explain to you the
purpose, when Bonds comes in (is the black man in on it?) Anyway, he tells you
that this was all set up and used for a RedSun/BlueMoon prelim. You passed.
Feeling safe, you go to bed, and rest for the pairings tomorrow.

===============================================
12. Chapter 6-RedSun/BlueMoon Tournament Begins
===============================================
--------------------
12a. Are you Worthy?
--------------------
The next morning, you wake up, hyped about the competition. Hurry over to the
colosseum, but jack into the angel statue first. Collect the Recov150 Z
(Hard: SpinYllw) and proceed to the colosseum. As you enter the chamber, the
tournament pairings aren't up yet. All of a sudden, the mouth carving to the
left speaks, saying that those who are worthy of the RedSun tournament must
first place their hand into his mouth. Lan, unnerved by it, places it in (In
reality, it is a sophisticated scanning device). The mouth accepts you and the
pairings are put up.

--------------------------------------
12b. The Pairings: Multiple Storylines
--------------------------------------
There are various people you will fight each time around. Here are the ones I
know.
NOTE: There is a SpinPink (Hard: 1800 zennys) in the Colosseum BattleComp.

-------------------------------------
12ba. Netopian Secret Service (Raika)
-------------------------------------
TUrns out you're fighting SearchMan. You've never heard of such a navi, so
you try to leave the Colosseum area. Lan senses something, like a stalker. A
man appears, noting Lan's crafty senses. Lan believes in friendship, but
Raika has no need for it. He tells you that NetBattles are an all-out war of
life and death. You try to stop him, but a swift kick takes you out. He gets
a call from the President, and he says out loud (genius, eh?) that the Nebula
hide-out is in Undernet6. He hurries over to the Space Center. You've got to
follow him (revenge) so pursue him to Sharo (only space center so far).
Proceed thru the snowy streets and go to the SharoSpaceCenter. Jack into the
comp behind the man and collect the BMD, a NCP Speed +1 (color I don't
remember). (In Hard MOde, it contains a RegUP 1.) Go to SharoArea. The nearby
navi will give you the SpaceCd if you don't have it (say no). Get the BMD
here (an HP Memory). There is a wall at the left side. Open it for 500 zennys.
The PMD inside there will contain a BlkBomb Z chip, which you must save for
another scenario (ColdMan). Now you need to assemble the C-Slider. The
WingParts cost 4000 zennys and it is in TownArea2. Go to the last warp point,
and then down the left path. Find the navi under the final path and she'llsell
them to you. The JetParts are in TownArea3 (accessable thru ParkArea1). I
remember that the BordPart costs 3000 zennys and is in YumLandArea. Go thru
the ACDCArea2 entrance and you should find the merchant under there. Then,
access Sharo via NetFrica. Talk to the navi near the C-Slider lines, and will
mention about the infamous Slider Master. Jack out and jack back in. Go back
to where you found the PMD containing BlkBomb Z and assemble the C-Slider.
Now, jack out. Talk to the man there, who will not believe that you are ready
to face Nebula. He offers you a test to see if you are worthy:
(Easy)
Battle 1: Weather, MettEX
Battle 2: Weather, VolGearEX
Battle 3: Weather, MettEX, VolGearEX
(Hard)
Battle 1: Winger, Mett2EX
Battle 2: Winger, VulGearEX
Battle 3: Winger, Mett2EX, VulGearEX

After that, he'll give you a CopyKey for the door in Undernet6. Jack into the
comp behind him again. Run back into SharoArea, then thru Netopia and
NetFrica. Link back to another area of Sharo, oddly darker. The navi there
will wonder that you need a C-Slider to pass into the Undernet. Ride it over
and enter Undernet1. Down the arrow path, you will watch a cutscene where a
sniper's crosshairs fly over you. Dodge it by pressing the highlighted
direction left or right. After that, you will be continuously fired upon. In
Undernet1, if you are unable to dodge, you will take 50 damage. From the first
lock, go to the first of the following directions:

Up, Left, Up, Left, Down, Left, Down, Left, Down, Right. Take the right path
and continue to the right to reach a warp point.

You warp over to another point, which will lead you to a pass into Undernet2.
(NOTE: The sniper crosshairs will do 100 damage now) Go up the path until the
path split (with an arrow path pointing to the left) and go left. From there,
follow the path to a BMD containing ExpMemry (Hard: RegUp 1), expanding the
size of your Navi Customizer Map. Go back to the split and go up. Turn left
at the next split (after going up, right, and down). Go to the path down and
follow these directions (like before):

Right, Down, Down (at the split), Up, Left, Right, Up, Right, Down. Follow the
path and collect the BMD for a NCP SpeedMAX (White) (Hard: Barr200 U). Return
down that path to Undernet3. Continue to the split. The far left path has a BMD
containing an HP Memory (Hard: 3000 zennys). There are two teleportation
points, one on the left and one in the middle. The left warp point leads to
Undernet4, but I'll temporarily disregard it. Go through the middle warp point.
After passing through, go to the next one, and you should reach an area
surrounding two other warp points. On the right side is a Recov120 Q (Hard:
AntiFire K), and you should proceed to the next warp point, which leads to a
path to Undernet6 (where you need to go). Go up the big ramp and go up the
second ramp (farther back) to get a Hole * chip (Hard: 2 BugFrags). Then,
proceed on the other path, and go to the split between an arrow path and a path
that continues down. Continue down, but there is a spoiler on the other path
(if you want to know, you can sneak a peek at the thing across an abyss). Go to
the split between two paths. Go down the left path and proceed to a warp point
near a BugFrag trader. The evil navi on the other side will tell you a dark
rift prevents going further. Double back to the split and take the right path.
It goes under the ramp, and there is a BMD containing a NCP Attack +1 (? color)
(Hard: BlkBomb D). Open up the door and find an evil navi. Battle his 5
viruses:
(Easy)
Battle 1: 2 MettEX
Battle 2: BillyEX, MettEX, BoomerEX
Battle 3: MelodyEX, DharmaEX
Battle 4: 2 SpikeyEX, ShrimpyEX
Battle 5: MagTectEX, VolGearEX, HealNavi (100 HP)
(Hard)
Battle 1: 2 Mett2EX
Battle 2: SillyEX, Mett2EX, GloomerEX
Battle 3: HellodyEX, KarmaEX
Battle 4: 2 Spikey2EX, Shrimpy2EX
Battle 5: MagTec+EX, VulGearEX, HealNavAlpha (300 HP)

After that, he'll have four cronies join him. They try to attack him with the
"Moon of Hades". Right there and then, four crosshairs lock on and eliminate
the cronies. Then, the navi himself is deleted by none other than SearchMan.
He predicts a 99% chance of victory over you (I like the odds). Jack out and
head back to the Colosseum for your battle.

SearchMan (900 HP)
Attacks: Lock-on attack similar to the BN1 Lock-On Chip and Vulcan1. Tosses
grenades that have a CrosBomb range. Targets a spot with a laser and hits it,
cracking all squares within a CrosBomb radius of it.

Beat him down, and the President will call. He punishes Raika for his failure
and you get SrchSoul (Good ol' one percent) (RS).

SearchSoul
----------
Unite with what Type of Chip: Invisible (indicated by a dotted outline)
Abilities:
-Invis and Pop-up are negated for your opponent
-Charged attack becomes a cross between BN1's Lock-On and Vulcan2.
-At the Custom screen, you can Shuffle chips by selecting the ones you want
to hold and the remainder are shuffled. You may do this 3 times per Custom.
NOTE: If you haven't used your regular chip, it will stay every time you
shuffle.

------------------------------------------
12bb. Ancient WaterGod Traditions (Paulie)
------------------------------------------
You're fighting a HealNavi. You know that he/she must be good, 'cause they've
made it this far. Paulie enters and says he's your next opponent. He wants
you to join a WaterGod festival in his village. Fly to NetFrica and grab the
RegUP 1 in the first teepee. Jack into the statue, and grab a SubMemry on the
left side of the comp. The navi next to the warp point will give you the code
if you battle:

Battle 1: 2 MagTect, BoomerEX Battle 2: Walla, BoomerEX

                Battle 3: LarkEX< ShrimpyEX, BoomerEX

Get the NetFrica Passcode, and unlock the security cube. Run over to the
center of NetFricaArea to see a gathering. They are to start the WaterGod
competition. A HealNavi approaches you, and tells you that he is Jammer,
Paulie's navi. He lets you join the WaterGod contest. The WaterGod is
released and you have to find him. Thanks to us, FAQ writers, you need not
search. Run back to SharoArea via Netopia and navigate the arrows. Come to
the far right side and get the WaterGod. You are the winner. Walk back to the
center, and present them the statue. A cutscene occurs, and Jammer is
missing, probably sulking from his loss. All of a sudden, the river goes dry.
Jack out and look at the problem. They need someone to navigate the labyrinth
of Cyberworld in the WaterGodPC. Paulie appears and suggests that the
Champion, Lan go and fix the problem. First, you need the RecovDrp to fix the
computer. He gives you a LionKey. Jack back into NetFricaArea. Run over to
the center, then up the path and to the right. There are three barriers.
Unlock the first with LionKey, then take a quiz to unlock the second one:

1. How many houses are in NetFrica?
3
4=====>Correct
5
2. How many tusks does Nupopo have?
2=====>Correct
3
4
3. What's the attack of the Boomer1 chip?
40
50
60=====>Correct
4. The NetFrica youth leader wears what color clothes?
White
Green
Brown=====>Correct
5. How many big round squares are in Netopia Area?
20
21
22=====>Correct

The third wall is a battle:

Battle 1: 2 MettEX, Mettaur

Battle 2: SpikeyEX, Spikey

Battle 3: VolGear, VolGearEX

After that, get the RecovDrp and jack out. Run back to the WaterGodComputer
and jack in. Now, this is a maze of comps, which drove me nuts.
Painstakingly, I took the liberty of tracing the important comps. However, I
will give you the only warp points that are necessary:

WaterGodComp1: Go to the right side point (there's a BMD with 100 zennys
here).
WaterGodComp5: You come out at the top. Go down to the next one.
WaterGodComp3: Come out at the right side, and get the 100 zennys. Go up to
the next point.
WaterGodComp2: Come out at the top. Go back to the right point.
WaterGodComp10: Come out on the right. Run over to the top again.
WaterGodComp8: Five fallen navis lie there, their souls want to devour you:
Battle 1: 2 MettEX Battle 3: ShrimpyEX, DharmaEX
Battle 2: MettEX, ShrimpyEX Battle 4: MettEX, BoomerEX
                        Battle 5: MelodyEX, VolGearEX
Defeat them and go to the bottom. There is a BMD containing a FullCust *.
Double back and go to the right warp point. The WaterGod Management System
was infected by viruses:
Battle 1: MettEX, LarkEX Battle 3: 2 MettEX, LarkEX
Battle 2: 2 LarkEX Battle 4: 2 ShrimpyEX, Trumpy
                        Battle 5: Lark, ShrimpyEX, Trumpy
Defeat them and install RecovDrp. The system is fixed, so hurry back to your
battle:

HealNaviAlpha: Jammer (800 HP)
Attacks: Uses the chips Ball, HeroSwrd. Summons VolGear, Gaia, and Boomer
viruses.

After beating him soundlessly, he admits to planting viruses in the WaterGod
computer as an attempt to delete you. Lan saves Paulie by letting him redo
the WaterGod competition without Lan.
-------------------------------
12bc. Dojo Masters (Mr. Famous)
-------------------------------
Well, KendoMan. You've never heard of him, and his operator appears. It's
Mr. Famous (guess he ditched GateMan and Punk). He tells you that his navi is
training in the NetFricaArea. As you talk, a mysterious man watches you and
him, and he disappears. Fly over to NetFrica, and jack into the statue. Get
the PCode if you haven't already (read in 12bb about the battles). Run over
to the C-Slider lines, and KendoMan is there. He talks to no one without
the three Licenses. Earn them by traveling to YumLandArea first. Follow the
path of weakened navis to find the first bot. To battle them, use the Up+A
button to attack up, Right+B to attack to the side, Down+A to attack low, and
Left+B to block. Follow the things above the bot's head. Earn each of the
three licenses. The second bot is in Netopia near the KeyDataD box (up the
ramp). The third bot is in Sharo (from Netopia to Sharo). After that, return
to KendoMan, and introduce yourself. KendoMan apologizes, for he is always
strict and never breaks these policies. Anyway, he'll meet you at the
Colosseum. Jack out and heead back. Mr. Famous, however is late. You calm the
crowd down and search for him. Fly back to NetFrica to see that the
mysterious man was one of Mr. Famous' pupils who was dismissed. He blames him
for his embarrassment and has 4 hostages surrounded by lions. He also (like
all villains) reveals the only way to stop his plan: the satellites in the
LionComp behind him. He whacks Mr. Famous, and you need to defend them.
Secretly sneak to the computer, jack in, and destroy the four satellites.

1. Nearest Satellite: MettEX, BillyEX, BoomerEX
2. Top of the Comp: LarkEX, VolGearEX
3. To the Right of the Comp: MagTectEX, KilbyEX, WallaEX
4. Below 3rd Satellite: MelodyEX, SpikeyEX, ShrimpyEX

Grab the RegUP 2 first and jack out. Now that the lions are wandering, Mr.
Famous beats the man down. Both of you hurry back to the Colosseum for your
battle.

KendoMan (800 HP)
Attacks: Sword down a row (Dash+Sword).
Training: Summons two ghosts that are KendoMan and all three KendoMan launch
a beatdown of attacks, similar to the Shadow virus of BN3.

Beat him down and you are victorious. Mr. Famous respects your victory.

----------------------------------
12bd. Unnatural Climate (Chillski)
----------------------------------
You're facing off against ColdMan. His operator appears, saying it's much too
hot. He wants a colder climate, so he leaves. Then, the temperature slowly
begins to drop. You must find ColdMan in order to stop his madness. Jack into
the hotel statue, and warp into Netopia Area. There, go left, up the long
ramp, and right until you hit ColdMan and his CyberSnowmen. He'll willingly
stop the cold, looking for a more suitable, natural cold. It is pretty
simple...wait a sec...too simple. Nothing on MMBN4RS so far was ever simple!
Jack out and leave the hotel to find that there is a raging snowstorm in
Netopia! But how? You receive mail from the Netopian National Weather Center
saying that snowstorms are all over Netopia. This has to be ColdMan's work, so
run over to the Sharo Space Center. When you get there, you'll find an
incapacitated man on the ground. He explains to you that Chillski knocked him
out, sprayed him with sleeping gas, and changed the weather satellites of
Sharo. You need to fix the heating systems in the AntennaComps. Also, viruses
are controlling the antenna. Run out, and a temperature meter comes in. This
is your body temperature (which seems a bit high for normal). Run out, and
check any snowdrift preventing you from getting to the antenna. You'll need a
shovel soon. Run over to the first house that you come by from the entrance to
Sharo to find a shovel on the porch. Run over to any snowdrift, but be careful
about the body temperature of Lan. If it drops under 34.0 degrees Celsius, he
won't have the ability to send MegaMan Battlechips. I personally went to the
Space Center to reheat my body temperature. Run over to the first antenna to
the far right in Sharo. Clear the snowdrift by pressing the B button rapidly.
(Y'know, if he's doing work, why ain't he generating heat like that?) Jack
into AntennaComp4. Now, imagine the diamond-shaped computer as a compass. Here
are the locations of the 4 snowmen.
(Easy)
1. To the south: 3 MettEX
2. To the east: MettEX, Walla
3. To the northeast: Walla, BoomerEX
4. To the north: MettEX, BoomerEX
5. To the west: 2 MettEX
(Hard)
1. To the south: 3 Mett2EX
2. To the east: Mett2EX, Walland
3. To the northeast: Walland, GloomerEX
4. To the north: Mett2EX, GloomerEX
5. To the west: 2 Mett2EX

Grab the BMD at the west containing a NCP: Battery

Then, light the cyber-torches with the BlkBomb Z chip (you can unlock it near
the Slider master in Sharo). Jack out, and run to the satellite in the far
left of Sharo. Dig out the path, and jack in. Now you're in AntennaComp1.
(Easy)
1. To the southwest: 2 MettEX
2. To the north: 3 MettEX
3. To the east: Mettaur, BoomerEX (unsure)
(Hard)
1. To the southwest: 2 Mett2EX
2. To the north: 3 Mett2EX
3. To the east: MettEX, GloomerEX

Grab the BMD in the east containing a RegUp 1. Offer a HeatShot C to warm up
this Antenna Comp. Jack out, and run to the snowdrift near the entrance. (You
can restore body temperature if necessary) Shovel it out and jack into
AntennaComp2.
(Easy)
1. To the south: 3 MettEX
2. To the northeast: MettEX, BoomerEX
3. To the west: 2 MettEX
(Hard)
1. To the south: 3 Mett2EX
2. To the northeast: Mett2EX, GloomerEX
3. To the west: 2 Mett2EX

Grab the BMD in the north for an HP Memory. Offer a FlmLine1 F to heat up this
computer. Jack out, and run over to the remaining Antenna Comp. Dig it out and
jack in.
(Easy)
1. To the south: 3 MettEX
2. To the east: MettEX, Walla
3. To the north: MettEX, BoomerEX
4. To the west: 2 MettEX
(Hard)
1. To the south: 3 Mett2EX
2. To the east: Mett2EX, Walland
3. To the north: Mett2EX, GloomerEX
4. To the west: 2 Mett2EX

Grab the BMD in the north for a BugBomb G. Offer a HeatBrth K (which you can
buy from the Netopian CyberMerchant) All four comps are heated. The scientist
calls you and congratulates you for a job well done. He hangs up. Then,
ColdMan and Chillski call, hating you for interrupting his fun. He'll see you
at the Colosseum. Run back to Netopia, and fight him:

(Easy) ColdMan (?00 HP) (Hard) ColdM
