can the enemy AI see through fog of war???

in some missions with fog of war i noticed how some alitlery units maneged to fire at mine without having anything to spot for them.

there was no recon and no infantry of mountains so can the enemy AI see through for of war? how do i protect myself then?

Thanks, i figured it completely.
The enemie can see me completely in fog of war unless i hide in woods or reefs
the enemi can still see my units in woods or reefs but he can't attack them so he either sends one unit to detect me and another to attack or goes away from the units range of fire.
It's all really annoying but when you know what to expect it's easier to beat these missions

Yes, AI in this game can see you in fog of war. However, it won't be able to see you in woods and reefs, so use it to your advantage.

It's complicated. The enemy AI can sort of see your units in FoW, even if your units are hiding in woods and reefs. Not perfectly, but they have ways of getting around the normal rules. See the "There are too many fog of war battles in this game" topic on this board for more details.
