Why does the game keep telling me "Unable to detect backup memory"?

I just once lost to the doom dragon and now i can't save the game. where is the backup memory?

Umm...
My game was bought fresh and i lost to the Doom Dragon a year after i bought it.
Since that, two years have passed.
It can't get old in a year.

Might try that, hylianarmy. Once i get some rubbing alcohol. By the way, when i played the game on my DS, it just showed me a glitched picture. "s everywhere. Also, I got a question about this rubbing alcohol. Can I use Neo-Amisept? Seeing as i'm Finnish...

Okay, hylianarmy, it got rid of the DS freeze, but the backup memory problem still prevails. Any other ideas anyone?

Dude back up memory means that the game is losing its memory... it means its old... and the back up memory will provide a limited supply just enough to transfer wat u need 2 transfer... it only provides a couple of hours.. and it means even ur back up memory is drained... buy a new one... ok happy restart
