The Technical Ring also enables Manual mode, however, it does not change how you use skills, meaning, you still set skills to B, Up+B, Down+B, and Left/Right+B and use them the same way as you do on Semi-Auto.

It is pretty useless, considering the fact you can't get it until just before the final dungeon, however, Manual mode makes battles much easier, especially if you are used to it due to playing other games in the Tales series, such as Tales of Symphonia.
