How do I get past sandstorm tournament?

I play on an emulator now and I can't get past the third battle in the tournament since you need an extra large zoids but all I have is large.

Get out of town then you'll find some Zoids lingerin round the fields(they annoy me!). Just retreat and retreat when you battle Zoids other than the Gojulas or the Gordos. I recommend the Gojulas since its much more powerful but if you have little money, i suggest that you develop the Gordos for it is cheaper. To get money to develop the Gojulas, sell all un-needed weapons and run into field zoids.

If you do random battles outside the city, you'll occasionally run into a Gordos or Gojulas zoid, both of which are in the LL size category and are the only zoids available at this point in the game of a size above Large. The Gordos is considerably cheaper to build and has a lower level requirement for the pilot, but the Gojulas is much stronger and will be much more useful as the game progresses. Which one you choose is up to you.
