Are Marth and Roy in this game?

Because I saw my friend playing a guy with Marth and Roy in this game, but Roy was on a horse and Marth was using a spear. Are they?

Okay, nevermind. The characters names were called Seth and Efhraim (did I spell it right)? I thought they were Roy/Marth because their hair looked alike.

To settle the entire Marth and Roy dispute:

1. Marth is a Lord in the original Fire Emblem games, Fire Emblem 1 and 3, which were only released in Japan a few years ago. Aside from the updated version of Fire Emblem 1, which will release in the US, Marth has officially not been released in any legal Fire Emblem game. The only English media that Marth has ever been featured in is the Super Smash Bros. game, where he, along with Roy, made an appearance to franchise the Fire Emblem series in Japan. Due to their popularity, they were not dummied out in the English version of Melee, and their success as players and their games, which were now in high demand by American players, were eventually internationalized. Fire Emblem 7: Rekka no Ken (Blazing Sword) was the first Fire Emblem released internationally, so Marth is not in this game nor is he in any other installments of the internationally released Fire Emblem series (with the exception of the remake of FE1, which will release for the DS sometime soon). You probably had him confused with Ephraim.

2. Roy, who many believe is the protagonist of FE7, are actually mistaken. Due to FE6's nearly finished release, it was not released internationally. Roy was put into Super Smash Bros. Melee in Japan to promote the release of FE6 and the Fire Emblem series onto the GBA. Roy is the protagonist of FE6, where he leads the Lycia Alliance and later the Etrurian army against an insane Zephiel, the Bern forces, and the Mamkute War Dragons created by the Demon Dragon, Idoun. Why do I elaborate on the plot of FE6 so heavily? I do it merely to easily define the difference between FE6 and FE7. FE7, Fire Emblem for the American version, starred Roy's father, Eliwood, and his two friends, Lyn and Hector, as they traveled around with a famed tactician and a small band of followers to find Eliwood's missing father, Lord Elbert, the current Marquess of Pherae, and eventually get tangled up in a scheme that very well threatens the entire continent of Elibe. Now, compare the two games. Do they sound familiar in ANY WAY POSSIBLE besides the names? FE7 was a prequel to FE6, and therefore Eliwood wasn't even married yet during the events of FE7. Roy did not exist until a few years after the events of FE7, shown during the epilogue of the said game.

What are you talking about? No, Roy and Marth are not in this game. I don't know what charecters you are talking about, but they are not here. This is the 8th FE game (2nd in America) and Marth was in the first one and Roy was in the 6th. Number 7 was the first one to be released in the US.

Playing a *GAME* is what I think he meant. And no, they are not. He was doing another Fire Emblem.

If your friend somehow got a copy of either FE6 or FE1 then you were probably looking at either Marth or Roy but mistook one charecter for another.
