Asked on: 11/4 8:02PMYeaaa. I lost Surf. I was an idiot and tried to go into Lightening Field, right? So I go in and I noticed that I didn't have an escape orb with me. So I panicked and turned off the game then turned it BACK on to, hoping to be able to be able to get my Escape orb from my storage so I Can 'port out without having to worry.
EVERYTHING was gone. >=( Including my HM Surf and my nifty X-ray specs. (I didn't make Blastoise learn it just yet cause I at the time thought that other moves were more important then that. ) So I brought the HM Surf in with me.
If I go back in Solar cave, will I be able to find another copy of Surf there? Or am I stuck forever not being able to even recruit the legendary dogs/whoever else needs surf to get to?

Note: Always bring a Escape Orb with you. <_<' and make sure you have everything you need.
HMs reappear in the dungeons if you lose them, so don't fret if you happen to lose your HMs again. Thank the Dev Team for considering this possibility.
In most dungeons, resetting the game would do exactly what you hoped it would do, but dungeons that force you to save before entering, like Lightning Field (and all the other quests on that island) and a few others, don't work that way; instead, it's treated like you got KO'd in the dungeon, and you restart at base with no money and no items.
Finally, in many dungeons you can find Escape Orbs; in Lightning Field, they're practically endemic. So don't panic if you find you forgot to bring one.
