Asked on: 11/28 11:48PMI have one group by the save point in Phoenix Cave near the lever to make a pathway for the rocks to subside so the other group can get to the boss and the other group near by the room with lava and rocks to jump in order to get to that said pathway that opens up. I have just picked this game up recently so I haven't played in quite a while. Would someone be able to give me a step-by-step method on reuniting them so I can get through this boss easier? The team I have now to face it is Setzer, Edgar, Shadow, and Relm.

But yes, it is possible to reunite both parties. In fact, both parties will eventually (not far from the Red Dragon, in fact) be re-united (you'll need to step on a switch with both parties to get to the end of the Phoenix Cave).
My advice would be to exit the cave, and follow one of the many guides that provide step-by-step instructions on getting to the end.

statusIf what you need from one team is equipment rather than characters, you could always simply remove the equipment from that team, switch to the other team, and give them the equipment. I do this a LOT in the final dungeon.
