Mario Tennis: Power Tour

As I said. This is a good game, but not without flaws. There is one thing that angers me. This games story has almost nothing to do with Mario! There is one Mario themed court in the whole game. Other then that, this game is fun. Well on to the review!

Story 6/10: Average

Not much. You play as a kid at a tennis school. You soon find out that your friend Alex lost to some tennis bandits. So you must work your way to the top to defeat those bandits after the island open. You work your way up from the juniors to the seniors. You work your way up the ranks so you can get to the island open.

Difficulty 4/10: Pretty easy

Not to hard. Singles is harder then doubles and the higher the ranks (obviously) the opponents get harder and harder. Overall once you get the hang of it it is pretty easy.

Learning Curve: 20 minutes

Not to long. You can get the hang of the shots and defencive maneuvers pretty quickly.

Graphics 6/10: Average

The Game Boy's graphics are never that good but as for this game as far as GBA games go this falls in to the Average range but remember graphics do not make a game. Game play 9/10: Outstanding!

There is a mixed bag for game play here. You can play singles or doubles. In doubles your partner helps you but your opponent has a partner too. Singles are one on one games which are slightly harder. You can also play mini games to gain EXP. The mini games are outstanding and fun but sometimes hard. You gain EXP to level up you and your partner. You get EXP by winning mini games and matches. In the matches you can power shoot the ball or just defend and volley it. The game play is Outstanding!

Buy? Rent? Avoid?

I'd say buy. You will have fun with this game tennis fan or not.
