Ed, Edd n Eddy: The Mis-Edventures
Review by Crankenstein1
"DISAPPOINTED!!! No, really, disappointed..."
This game, based of the series created by AKA Studios, is the sequel to Jawbreakers, that just didn't live to my expectations... Neither did this. If you read this rewiew, you'll understand.
Story: 8/10: Something as cliched as a normal episode, Eddy tries to do a scam, along with his best buddies, Ed and Edd, AKA Double-Dee. But, sadly, every scam they try today, dosen't pay off. Eddy grows more desperate, since there's a HUGE jawbreaker-dispenser at the Cul-de-Sac...
Controls: 7/10: Easy as making sludge pie. You jump with A, and attack with B. R switches Eds, while L makes you use that Eds "Formation-Ed", as I call it. With Start, you pause the game and with Select, you can move the camera. However, the controls can be confusing at times...
Gameplay: 6/10: Each level, named scams(which, not suprising at all, follow the tradition of removing a keyword and replace it with Ed) pits you and EEnE against dogs, death-holes, signs that give you hints and, last but not least, cash. Yes, there are pennies scattered all over the levels. Get a hundred (a dollar), and you can buy jawbreakers at the beforementioned dispenser. You must also use the Eds weapons and formations to progress. Ed's "Batter-Ed" can be used to destroy walls you can't jump over. Edd's "Trampol-Edd" is used to jump onto platforms unreachable by a normal jump. And Eddy's "Tower of Eddy" is used to reach for objects so you can throw them at buttons or dogs. There is also odd-tasting jawbreakers scattered around the scams, that you MUST collect if you want to get 100%.
Music: 7/10: Now we are talking! There is music designed for EVERY area of the game that fits perfectly, speaking of the Cul-de-Sac, the backyard, the trash hill and the trailer park. Even the final part of the final level!
Sound: 7/10: Effects are well sounded, speaking of dogs barking, bees summing and car-crushers slamming into the ground.
Lifespan: 4/10: Here comes the games main flaw: IT'S SHORT. There is only six levels. Just six. No more. End of story. The end! GOODBYE!
Humor: 7/10: It's pretty fun whatching the final scene, the faces of the Eds when damaged, or when they smash into the ground for falling from above.
Overall: 7/10: Don't get me wrong, it's not BAD, just... Not what I expected.
