"Horrible, simply put...."
Welcome to my review of Medabots: Metabee Version. As you may know, I have two reviews posted for other games too, but you simply put are here to hear about this game, aren't you? Another thing before I shoot my mouth off about Medabots: Metabee Version: why am I doing a review of this game? I want the gaming world to know JUST HOW HORRID THIS GAME IS. I mean, the show was great, and it died before its time, but it's four games, Medabots AX: Metabee and Rokusho Versions, and Medabots: Metabee and Rokusho Versions, were badly put together. I can't give an unbiased review here; it's not possible. Now, here is my review.
Game Play - 1/10
Whoa. This game has a difficulty like none other. The Pokemon games are half as hard as this. I can't even begin to explain how hard this game is. This game loves to force you to get Medaparts for the according situation; this isn't as easy as this seems. You get boxed in because you don't have the corresponding Medapart. This was really bad, and I hope if there is another Medabots game, that this gets a complete overhaul.
Story - 7/10
Eh. The game has show characters in it at least. You end up furiously trying to finish this game by dealing with those pointless Rubberobos, which are too easy. You have to deal with other crap too. Why this wasn't an eight; mainly the other game version. Rokusho? WTF? Why? Who knows? Must be for the pointless link battles/trading.
Music - 4/10
The music sounded great, but some are way too overused to be considered great. Many times I have heard GBA music; this was the worst. I really don't have much to say on the music case, just that it needed more life in it. It sounded WAY TOO generic.
Controls - 9/10
Ok, before you ask why this only got a nine; you have to hit B instead of Start or Select for the pause menu. Otherwise, this is the only part of the game that really shined. The button placement was great, but I wish there was a controls configuration menu. That would have gave this a perfect ten. But, it doesn't, so it got a nine.
Replay Value - 5/10
You can replay this game, and it will seemingly get easier every time you play through it over and over again.
Rent or Buy - If you ae a hardcore Medabots fan, buy one of the versions of this game, or both if you can. Fans of the show would be more comfortable with the Metabee version for obvious reasons. If you are just checking out the game, rent it first, and you may or may not like it.
So, there you have it. That is my review of Medabots: Metabee Version. Have fun playing this game if you like it.
