Donkey Kong Country

"Donkey Kong is back, this time on the GBA"

Welcome to my review of Donkey Kong Country. This is the game where it all happens, the first ever Donkey Kong game to have different characters. The storyline is about 2 monkeys on a quest, to save their bananas and defeat K.Rool. The Kremlings are his henchman so DK better watch out. His brother side-kick Diddy is also going with DK.

Graphics 6/10
The Graphics looked terrible really. Nintendo could have done much better. The graphics of the enemies and the Monkeys are okay but, the level and its background just does not look good and it does not fit the level.

Sound/Audio 7/10
The sound was great but the monkeys and the Kremlings do not talk at all. They make cheerful sounds, grunts and cries but still, it is loud and clear. The audio was in every level so you can hear it loud and clearly. It fitted the level because of its theme E.g. It if was an Egyptian level it would have an Egyptian song.

Game play 9/10
The game play was really fantastic. The length of this game is about a day because it has around 7 levels and 7 stages in them. In the SNES version, you do not collect camera pieces but in this one you can. The Kongs are Cranky, (Advisor) Funky (Rentals) and Candy (Dancer.) In each world, it has hard bosses so you got to be a pro to defeat them.

Donkey Kong is a tough Kong because he has muscles and can defeat buff enemies. His attacks are rolling and slapping the ground.

Diddy Kong is Donkey Kong's brother, he is kind of strong and he can cartwheel. He can jump high and jump long distances.

Candy Kong is a woman monkey and she teaches dancing. DK must go to her in every world to get the camera piece and to learn dancing.

Funky Kong is a monkey who has boats and planes. DK must go to him in each world and do his mission of collecting fish. Also to travel to each world, you must go to him so you can hire his plane.

Cranky Kong is an old Kong who gives advice to everyone. So when you need help in this game, go to him, and he will help you on the levels.

K.Rool is the foe in this game. He is in the last world and he has stolen all the bananas from DK. His attacks are stomping, boomerang, throw cannonballs and run.

In each world there are stages; inside these stages have Bonuses which you have to collect. If you want to get 100% than I suggest you should collect every one of these. To tell if you have collected them all, look at the stage name and see if there is an! Next to the stage name, that means you have collected every bonus in that stage.

Controls
The controls are simple all you have to do is run attack and jump. It is really easy to learn and should only take 10 minutes.

Rent or Buy
I recommend you buy this fabulous game. It should not be a problem at all but if you want to test it then I suppose you should rent it.

Overall 9/10
This game is magnificent and cool. It entertains for the day and the worlds are really challenging. Even the stages are hard so you really need to be an expert to accomplish this game.
