Yoshi Topsy-Turvy

"Another great Yoshi game."

Welcome to my review of Yoshi Topsy-Turvy where Yoshi is on a quest to save the island from bowser by gaining help by the spirits of the island. So the king spirit was very angry of Bowser and sealed him in the book and unfortunately he also sealed Yoshi's island in it and now Yoshi is trapped inside. The only way to save the island is to do the spirit's missions and then they will aid Yoshi to get rid of Bowser and claim peace on the island.

Graphics: 6/10
The graphics were designed by Artoon which they let the fans down. It is too much cartoon and has a hint of Yoshi's story in it. I'm very annoyed by the graphics Artoon could've done much better.

Sound 10/10
Now here is where a 10/10 comes. The sound and audio was spectacular, I really loved it and maybe just improve Yoshi's voice a bit better. the levels have catchy tunes that get stuck in you're head which can be annoying but at least it is really good with the game and all.

Game Play 7/10
The game play is quite good and is fun. In story mode Yoshi must go through each level and do the spirit's mission to complete the whole stage. getting 100% only takes a week or two.

One of the spirits is the power one. Yoshi is to pummel enemies and prove his strength to the spirit so he can be worthy. Another Spirit is the Kind spirit which will help Yoshi by only passing the levels but not defeating any enemies. so Yoshi can get a gold medal for it. This is one of the worsted spirit there is it is really hard!

Gold medal and silver medals help getting the game 100% and they have bonuses. Each time Yoshi gets a medal a roulette will appear if it lands on a Yoshi's picture you enter a bonus stage if you complete it you will get lives.

Now here is the cool part. this game has a tilt sensor, which when you turn you're GBA the stage will turn as well. For example if Yoshi need to unroll a bridge turn the GBA and the bridge will unfold another is climbing up walls. If you turn you're GBA Yoshi can climb up walls to get to higher places.

Controls
The controls aren't used much except for eating and jumping. Most of the game is to use the tilt sensor.

Rent or buy:
I recommend you buy the game because this game can easily get boring so you don't waste much money buying it. It took me a week to get bored of it but if you like it then buy it.

Overall 8/10
I think this game is great and the characters were magnificent but Artoon should have done better. Well I enjoyed the game so you should too but remember this can get easily boring so be careful choosing to buy or renting it.
