"Ruby Madness"

After what seemed like a millennium to Pokemon fans across the globe, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire opened its gates to the hordes and introduced a stunning experience. Taking both aged and fresh alike, the developers introduced several key features that rocked the Pokemon universe. The new nature system, a bountiful selection of held items, and a stunning array of powerful Pokemon capped off some of these features. People were obviously astonished by the immense world that was presented, as well as with the populace that each novel area provided. Pokemon RS unquestionably holds a special place in many a gamer's heart, in many ways like the previous Pokemon games that came before.

Although the visuals in preceding Pokemon titles have been on par with that of the current time period, there was always something missing. It was almost as if vibrancy was just waiting to pour from it, but a limitation of existing technology stopped it coolly in its tracks. Finally, Pokemon fans can rejoice in tranquility. The discharge of Pokemon RS brought forth a new world of vibrancy that truly pushes what countless could have perhaps imagined. In logic, this is possibly the most significant title that could have been released in favor of any system of the Pokemon franchise. By introducing the multihued schemes that abound in this game, the developers of Pokemon permitted the game itself to tell a tale through the graphics, which is strictly unique. Because of that, we can also enjoy some of the other affects that were added to RS. Items such as blustering petals, soothing wind, speckled grass, and tranquil shadowing on water justly make the world animate.

Unfortunately, it is not without burden. In a rather foolish shift, the developers decided to eliminate the animations from the preceding title. In many an opinion, those animations bought a new-fangled sense of realism to the franchise, allowing the player to see what a Pokemon would do in its expected setting. Nevertheless, they did remove it. Thankfully, it was returned in the restructure of this game. Another difficulty that seemed to come up often was the luminosity radius of the move Flash. In prior Pokemon titles, the move would effortlessly light up the entire room if it were obligatory, now it just illuminates a minute radius. In their defense, it does add a minor reality to what you could expect from an authentic environment, it just makes play a good deal more cumbersome. Nonetheless, it does illustrate that they are building an honest endeavor to leisurely thrust the title towards a brighter outlook of authenticity.

Oh where or where has my little dog gone.....oh wait, this is Pokemon.

It's the melody though that truthfully ends up complimenting the graphics flawlessly. Such soothing melodies as a piano solo rupture forth as a glistening petal filled sky slowly drifts to its own merry tune. They truly learned such an imperative lesson with the transition from GS to this, and I was tremendously happy to see it. To be relatively sincere, the music in preceding Pokemon games was rather bland in my eyes. Rarely would there ever be a quiet theme in the backdrop. What they thrived off of however was the fact that the tunes where jolly, and in fact it complimented the games to a tee. As long as that was accomplished, people were content. It started to wear though after a good period of time, and they providentially adjusted to the shifting times.

In fact, I would hazard a guess that the melodies in this game are perhaps the most eloquent that the series has continually offered. They truthfully are exceptional, perfectly complimenting each environment and instant. When you are in the champion bout of your Elite Four run, possibly the utmost music that the game has to present is played. As you go throughout your experience, take a second to pay attention to every atmosphere and what it has to tender, as if you don't you may as well miss one of the prospective ground shakers of the Pokemon progression.

People have always recognized the Pokemon franchise due to the prosperous level of customization that was presented to those who would solemnly seek it. In numerous ways RS takes that characteristic to an entire innovative echelon. On the exterior, Pokemon appears too several like that of a children's pastime. Beneath that coarse peripheral however lies a tremendously multifaceted game, screening that there is always more to something than meets the eye. EVs, IVs, GVs, move sets-each and every one showcase something diverse that eventually adds to the totality occurrence. For a verity, many were tremendously content with the sum of fresh Pokemon that were added to this game, escalating the overall tally to the fabled 358. If that wasn't sufficient, they even supplemented an entire world for you to investigate. Rocky mountains, searing deserts, serene lakes-all obtain residence in the new world of Pokemon.

Don't even want to touch that......

Previously, it was an unpleasant task for a player to survey the planet of Pokemon until one received a bicycle. Following that, one could voyage roughly at a speedy tempo. After what seemed like a millennium, they at last heard the cries of thousands of enthusiastic fans and responded with the running shoes. These shoes, although not as fast as the bicycle, still allow for a much better clip. Thankfully, this speeds up the era in which you encompass to tour the globe. Alongside that, Natures take up habitation for the first time. Natures, although seemingly a waste of time at first, can demonstrate pivotal to a person concerned with competitive battling. In practice, they elevate one stat and demote another, making a Pokemon much more customized than it yet would encompass before.

In my solemn opinion, this game went at a great rapidity, a great deal improved than it had been in preceding entries. This permitted me to spotlight much more on the phase of battling once the game was trampled, making my familiarity a pleasurable one at that. I simply respected the innovative deposit of Pokemon and gym leaders that were introduced, actually for once making the game itself a fit experience.

Possibly the hardest quandary to get past was the latest notion of Pokemon Contests. These were superfluous in my judgment, merely to be used as a diversion from the rest of customary game play. In them, you plainly aim to attain further points than the opposition, taking benefit of moves that can either impairment another or endorse you. This characteristic runs off of the corporeal features of a Pokemon, which can be improved by definite features of berries. They take an elongated epoch of time to complete, and I, if truth be told, found no use whatsoever for them.

In conclusion, this game was unquestionably a breathe of unsullied air for Pokemon fans; it just immediately needs to drop some of the hopeless features such as the Pokemon contests. I personally play the game for the battling only, as that is what truly interests me the most. If you are a Pokemon fan and have yet to pick this or the remake up, then I strappingly advocate that you do at your first expedient time. Not that you probably haven't had the chance already...

Overall, Pokemon Ruby is an excellent game, truly showing that age has no effect on quality. If you need a game that will be great to hold you over until DP, then look no further. Emerald is clearly the better title, but it's also much more expensive. You're choice I guess, both are great games in the end. Still, Ruby brings its own to the table every time you turn it on, which is something that many games can't say they can. Let it be known that Ruby is an excellent game!
