"Just a Digital Monopoly Game"
INTRO
Monopoly the favorite board game of all time and of all generations comes to the game boy advance system. I knew from the start this is a game where you need multiple players. So making this into a hand held game is a mistake right from the start. Good luck trying to find 3-4 other players to play with you. You against the computer just don't quite cut it. This is something you need to play live on-line or on the Internet with many other players.
GAME PLAY
I shouldn't have to explain this to you too much. It is exactly just like the board game, same format, same layout, same tokens, etc. The only thing it is computerized, and it rolls the dice for you and moves your token for you. The only bad thing I didn't like about this was the auction feature. When you land on a property, if you don't want it, you have to auction it. I would rather just leave it as is, and be on my way. Other then that, same rules apply to everything. You know, sell, buy trade properties as you wish. Your goal is to make everyone lose all his or her money, and be declared king.
APPEARANCE
This part I must say is very nice, the monopoly board looks crystal clear and sharp as can be. With zooming in and out of the layout in your managing the properties you own and the board. Game boy advance normally makes all their games with great graphics, so I can't complain about this from this system. Maybe there might be a few with bad graphics and appearances, but I have yet to come across them. This is a simple board game, so the graphics for this and music are not complicated to do.
OVERALL
There has been countless monopoly games made for various game systems. This is the first I have ever played. I can't compare the other ones with this one, cause I have no idea what the format from each other are. I would think it's all the same game play, but sometimes you would be surprised. Ok, so folks this is what we have to go on so far. A basic card board game made electronic and easy to learn and play. You will be bored playing by yourself very fast, so try to find friends to play with you, or other monopoly fans. This way you can enjoy the game, otherwise, it's going to be sitting in your collection collecting dust. By the way, you can't complain about the price of this game. It is cheap, under 10 bucks in most places.
