Madagascar: Operation Penguin
Review by MoeBear
"A Funny Penguin on a Mission"
INTRO
Who would of ever thought they would make a side game from the movie Madagascar, and make that a good one. Never played the Madagascar game but did see the movie, and it was not all that bad. Operation Penguin is a side quest from the movie, which features four crazy penguins trying to escape and get back to Antarctica. The question is can the do it? It's a cute story, and a fun game to play for all ages. Surprised they never made a part two, since the first one was good. Then again, they tried to make lots of spin offs, but all have failed, there is only one original.
GAME PLAY
You guessed it; you play as a penguin threw out this game. You take orders from the top penguin, so you're known as private penguin. This is an action platform game. You have several tasks to perform, so you can move on to a new mission. The missions are not hard, then again not too easy, so this makes it an enjoyable game. You have different objectives in the missions. Like stealth, finding things, using your throwing weapons, or your parachute, or your swimming techniques. What ever you need to do, do it good, your fellow penguins are counting on you. Even after you clear this game you might want to go back to some boards, which is a lot of them, and try to clear it 100 percent. So it does have some type of replay value.
APPEARANCE
Very well done, like most game boy advance games. This is why they invited this game console, so they don't have to worry about putting out good graphics in their video games. They got the technology, all they got to do is use, and it looks like they used very good here. Everything is nice, bright, clear and detailed. From the characters to the different backgrounds of each level. The sound and music is fun too. The penguins voice and sounds so cute, you just got to love it.
OVERALL
This is not a bad hand held game at all. I'm an adult, and it kept me busy for a while. Kids probably will like it even more, cause they can relate to it with the movie and their friends. What we need is more fun games like this to play, with cartoon-ish style graphics. I surprised not too many people have played this game or know about it. So I had to write a review and let the public know how I feel, and give them some kind of idea.
