"Pokemon LeafGreen Is pretty Great"

Pokemon LeafGreen

Story:
The story starts off with a young boy in the town of Pallet, who goes out into a flocky meadow and begins to prance around. When mean old Professor Oak-face comes and drags you back to his lab where you are made to think he wants to bad-touch you. But turns out, he just wants to give you a monster and send you out into the world to collect trinkets from monster trainers who have the stronger monsters. So you, a ten year old child, goes off on a monster-laden journey where, if you were not this he-man of a being, you would easily be killed by the many gigantic beasts you encounter along the way. This is the story of: Pokemon Leafgreen.

Graphics:
Though there is an obvious amount of uniquecity that went into the creation of the three-hundred-thirteen-thousand monsters that are in the game, it feels lacking in the graphics of the battle system. When Bulbasaur uses Surf, the creators should have been good enough to include a picture of the monster on a surf-board, trouncing the enemy. Instead, there is the equivalent to a blue thing hitting your enemy. The game also feels lacking in the fact that everything other than the monsters themselves, are just palette swapped, with a few changes in the pixels here and there.

Gameplay:
Monster battles are fun and all, but there is nothing in this game that was not in Final Fantasy VII. But if you liked that game, this game is a safe bet for you.

Sound:
Turns out the sound needs to be on to be able to hear the game. After realizing this, the sound is okay! Each monster makes the same noise every time they speak. It isn't even really speaking, either. It is more like a satanic chant used in evil rituals to summon the lord of darkness. But there is a place in the game for that sort of thing, that's where the game really utilizes the potential of the satanic monsters: Lavender Town.

Overall:
The game is really something that should played with a family member or a friend. As it is not really a single player game to begin with. However, if friends are not available, anybody can just link their GBA up to a wireless router and race their friends online with their monsters. Also, badge exchanging is available in this title, which is a selling point for most people. I say buy this game, you won't get another chance, as it is limited edition.
