"Super Circuit, super cool!!!!"

Mario Kart: Super Circuit is a great game, except for a few minor problems, including drift, and items. I'll elaborate more throughout the review. But, on the other hand, the best part is the races themselves. They are awesome, unique, and more awesome!

Story: ? / 10

There basically is no story to any Mario Kart game, and if you've seen my other Mario Kart reviews, you've seen my example of what the story seems to be. "Mario Kart: Super Circuit's main storyline is that Mario has challenged his friends (and enemies) to a racing championship. Who will come out on top?" Not the best idea, but it's in the ballpark. Mario Kart: Super Circuit is a very fun game, even without any apparent story.

Graphics: 7 / 10

The graphics of this game aren't that great, but I had to give them credit because, after all, it's only a GameBoy game. Anyway, I think the graphics are pretty good, except for the speed boosts. They're a little cheesy in my opinion, and the drift boost doesn't seem to really give you any boost. Other than those problems, the graphics are great, for a GameBoy game.

General Gameplay: 8 / 10

The races themselves are excellently designed, especially Yoshi Desert and Rainbow Road. I really like the background in both of those races. But, what I don't like is how everything is flat. If Nintendo really tried, they could have made it a little hilly. Other than that, and how the bananas look fairly dumb, the gameplay is great, and especially the races themselves. Normally, on a Mario Kart game, I find one or two races I dislike, but here I don't.

Amusement: 8 / 10

Mario Kart games are typically very fun, and so is this one. In fact, all Mario Kart games are fun to play. Anyway, this game sticks out in amusement because it doesn't have any stupid blue spiny shells. Those are always a pain, and this game doesn't have any! That makes this game a lot more amusing than the other Mario Kart games.

Overall Rating: 8 / 10

Overall, I give this game are good rating, eight to be exact. My personal favorite part is Rainbow Road and Yoshi Desert. What I really don't like is the speed boost's "cheesy-ness" and how the bananas look stupid. So, all in all, I enjoy this game a lot. Eight out of ten is what this game deserves.
