"Not exactly the best port of a game...."

Earthworm Jim is the old lovable Earthworm from the old generations of the SNES and Genisis. Too bad this sorry excuse of a game is going to ruin that legacy. Well not really.

What is it? What do you need to make a decent Earthworm Jim game? Lets see, first of all you NEED to have some bizzare humor, cows, and good music. Well atleast this game has the humor part. You basically just jump, swing, and blast through enemies trying to reach the princess.

Publisher - Majesco
Developer - Game Titan
Players - 1

Graphics - 5
You can tell the graphics has been tone downed a bit from the SNES version. Which is pretty wierd cuz since the GBA is more powerful thatn the SNES you would expect the graphics would be better than the game released 6 years before this (or something like that).

Sound - 7
Well atleast the sound isnt that bad. It also has been toned down from the SNES version but thats forgivable because this is a handheld machine.

Gameplay - 1
Actually the game is quite fun. Why did I give the gameplay just a 1 then. THERE IS NO SAVE FEATURE!!! Wheres the fun in that? Im pretty sure most people in the world would rather spend 5 straight hours playing a game on a tv raher than a handheld. No save feature basically makes this game useless. Even a password feature would be nice.

Fun Factor - 3
No save feature ruins the game. And add that with bad controls, bad graphics, not-so-good-could-be-better sound, and that equals to a useless and unfun game.

Group Fun Factor - 1
Why in the world would you want to embarrase yourself by showing people that you wasted 35 bucks on this game?

Best Feature - Uhh......It has cows!
Worst Feature - Gotta finish the game in one sitting.

Buy/Rent - Neither. This game just is not worth it. Unless you just want to see how the first level looks like. Believe it or not, this game actually used to be fun on the consoles.

Overall - 4
If you have the patience, determination, and time to finish this game, then it might be worth your money. But if you must try this game out, RENT IT! So all in all, spend your money on a better game, which shouldnt be that hard.
