"Not quite the sequal I've been hoping for."

Super Dodgeball for the NES was one of the funnest games I have ever played (well I was around 5 at the time) so I hoped alot out of this game. Well it didnt really meet my expectations....

Graphics - 7
Pretty good. Theres very little slow down, the backgrounds look very good, especially the one where it shows a city in the night time with all of the big buildings and such. The actual people though look kinda kiddy though, but thats just a minor grip. My major gripe is lag. Yes this game has lag, when your playing multiplayer that is. The game literaly freezes momentarily from time to time. But that happens only once in a while, so itll be a rarity to happen at all unless you've been playing the multiplayer non stop (like me ^_^).

Sound/Music - 7
Gets the job done, no annoying sounds. But the music gets pretty monotonous after a while. Just turn on the radio or the tv.

Gameplay - 5
Here is where it goes all downhill. The game is too easy. You can easily beat it for the first time within a hour, which ruins the whole game. A little diversity would have been nice like minigames or something. This game only has 1 mode, which is the Dodge Ball mode. In the NES version, you had that and a Bean Ball mode, where its practically every man for himself, and the surviver wins. For some reason the GBA version lacks this mode. A four player mode with just one cartridge would have been nice, considering it probably wouldnt be that hard to do.

Replay Value - 5
This game will probably been fun for a couple of days, then it'll get just down right boring. The multiplayer mode is actually pretty entertainy, but that doesnt make up for the lack of Replay Value in the one player mode.

Best Feature - Multiplayer mode
Worst Feature - Single player very easy

Overall - 6
They could have done better. If they including the Bean Ball mode I could of raised the score drastically, but alas they didnt. It just wont hold your interest for a while compared to other games. Like Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, that game easily requires 30+ hours of gameplay if you want to get all of the modes with 100%. But this game will probably last you at most 5 hours, then it'll just stay in your closet for a loooong time.
