Fire Pro Wrestling
Review by j.j.
"I love my Fire Pro!!"
Fire Pro Wrestling is my first Game Boy Advance game, and it doesn't disappoint...now...I don't want to say too much with my opening sentence...so on with the review!!
Graphics:8
OK, so Fire Pro Wrestling doesn't have the best graphics, but it does have some really good details, like the wrestlers do look detailed, and you can tell which wrestler you're using...a 2D form of graphics, but hey, I'm not complaining!!
Sound:9.5
I like the entrance music the most, I think that it all sounds very cool...and the music in the game's really good...but the only thing is that there should be more...I would have really enjoyed a bit more music...but if they did that, then they probably couldn't put in so many wrestlers...so it's understandable. There's also the normal bone-crunching sounds when a wrestler is in a submission move, and some crowd noises, such as a women shrieking, and there are also little sounds like when there's a low blow, there's a little ''ding'' sounds.
Modes:10
You have an exhibition, which has different modes such as death match and an octagon match, you have a league, which has up to 66 wrestlers in it and try to go for a belt that you create, an audience match, where you play 3 different matches to try and win over the fan's response in the different styles of play such as luchadore and King of the Road, and if you get a high enough percent from the three matches, you can move up to the next level of that rank, and there are also some other really great modes, but there's not much of a season mode in it.
Create A Wrestler: 10++++++++++++++++++++++++
Um...doesn't the rating say enough?? Seriously though, it's a really good feature, probably the BEST in the game...tons of options etc.
Gameplay:10
I like the gameplay, personally, I think that it's a change from the normal ''button masher'' or the ''acclaim style'' of the grappling system. When you're close to the other wrestler, you get in a grapple, and sort of press a button and something happens, as simple as that. It may take a bit to get your timing right, but once you do, you'll love it!!
Replay Value:10
With all of the stuff jam-packed into this one, you'll definitely find it hard to put down.
Buy Or Rent:If you're a fan of Fire Pro Wrestling, or even a serious wrestling fan, then it's a buy, but if you're just a ''casual fan'', then you might want to think about it first.
