Fire Pro Wrestling
Review by Punker69
"WWF, WCW, ECW, Fire Pro has them all, with all of the custumization you ever dreamed of..."
Fire Pro Wrestling is a very well known name in Japan and to some, people in the US. The series has only had two games ever come from across the boarder to the Good ol' US of A. HAL Wrestling (Game Boy)is the other game that came across. Fire Pro Wrestling is a huge improvement from this classic wrestling game.
- Gameplay -
Fire Pro Wrestling has a very complicated grappling system. I have had the game for about three week's now and on a difficulty setting from 1 - 10, I am still on 1 and not doing so well. It is a very hard game and I would like to congratulate anyone who gets up to level 10.
The game is very similar in a way to WM2K or No Mercy. As much as I love SD2, it is nothing like that. I have a Playstation and always play SD2. When I started to play FPW I lost constantly, because I ran all over the place, making my wrestler very tired and out of breath. Yes, you heard me correctly out of breath, you have to breathe in FPW. If you don't you will become very tied and open to your enemy(s) specials.
Now that I think about it FPW is really more of a strategy game were you most think out each of your maneuver's before you do them. One wrong move could cost you thr match.

- Sound -
The music for this game is very good. Most people hate BGM, but the one's in this game are done very well. They actually have ''Stone Cold'' Steve Austin's theme music in the game. The background music start's to get annoying after a little bit, but when you play a game for 5 hour's it start's to do that for any game.

- Option's -
This game has they best Edit Mode. Now by Edit Mode this does not mean you can edit the wrestler's that already in the game. You can rename the wrestler's and move them around in the organizations that they are in, but you can't edit there appearance. The Edit Mode is great because you can make any body. I have made several American wrestler's very easily in this mode. With 73 slot's to save your wrestlers you can make a whole roster of a Fed.
The game also has a Edit Organization mode. In this you can make your own Federation or stable. The customization of this game is just great.

- Multiplayer -
I have played for so many hour's against my friend's in Tag Team match's, survival match's, and Deathmatch's most of the time I get my *ss kicked, but it still is great.
Grade: 8/10
- Replay Value -
I have been playing this game since I got it. The match option don't pare up to those of SD2 (No Mercy's match option's blow hard) but is does have a deathmatch ( Mick Foley participated in this in Japan along with Terry Funk) and hardcore match's. The Audience match is very addictive. You most fight a certain style and the crowd rate's it to see how you did. If you are approved then you go to the next level. They have survival match, were you see how long you can go agianst the CPU. League is were you make a title and decided who will fight for it. Tournament mode explains itself (King of the Ring). When you think you have mastered the game try to do it agian with one of the 152 wrestler's.
Grade: 10/10
This game is great it comes with so many mode's and I have barely played all of them yet.
