"Addictive but not a long game"

Although this is one of the better release titles it's still not that great.

Graphics 9/10: Very smooth and nice to look at. You may find yourself seeing two people joined or something because they are standing right next to each other so you don't know how many players are left but it's nothing big. The graphics are really cartoony and very funny at times. (i.e. when someone gets hit with the ball their eyes bulge out)

Control 7/10: Control is like always but there are two things I really dislike. First, you push forwards or backward twice to run but they keep on running unless you push the opposite direction. So sometimes you run a little too far and you go to the opponents side or out of bounds so you lose the ball. The other is jumping. You have to press A and B to jump and sometimes you press one of them before so you throw or pass the ball. That hardly happens though and the control is basically solid.

Sound 6/10: There is some terrible music in this game. You hardly notice it but on some levels it's obvious and annoying. The characters don't have really any sounds when they die. Otherwise the balls whistle and some music is good but nothing spectacular or anything showing what the GBA can do.

Gameplay 8/10: You throw the ball at the opponent and they throw it back. You have 4 people as throwers on your side and 3 others on the opponents side that catch stray balls. You can change your team player's stats a little for suiting that character or you strategy. What is bad here though is the repetitiveness. The computer is so easy that you hardly need to use any strategy. Plus just regularly throwing a ball is basically useless. It does very little damage and they usually always catch it. You always you your specials. You do those by running three steps and then throwing it or running three, jump and throw it at the peak. Each play has two and that is how you do it. Gameplay is addictive but repeditive.

Replay 10/10: It's defiantly replay ok! Most sports games are. You can up the difficulty and the many other types of options. Like AI, it lets the computer get harder after you play a while. You also have special mode to get the secret teams.

Difficulty 6/10: You could go through championship in no time. I only found one team hard and that was because they had one dude that could catch almost anything.

Longness 1/10: I've rated every other score by my fair rating system but this is just blah so I can't rate it fairly because then it would get a 6 but it deserves a 1. The game is terribly short but replay will fix this problem a little.

Buy/Rent: Buy it...try and get a cheap price though because its a short game and is really worth $30, not $40.

Overall 7/10 (rounded up): It's a great addictive game and is one of the better release dates. It has a few problems but it's a great classic and should be enjoyed by everyone.
