Fire Pro Wrestling
Review by VeNoM
"Not into Pro Wrestling? You will be after this..."
The first wrestling game on Gameboy Advance is a beauty, and has tons of moves, modes, and wrestlers...
Features:
-Tons of moves
-Over 150 wrestlers from WWF, WCW, and ECW
-So much fun =)
Gameplay: (10/10)
Perfect. That's all I can say. There are tons of modes, including Create-A-Wrestler, which is very fun. You can choose the hair, face, etc of a wrestler you always wanted to be/see in the Pro Wrestling world. One-on-one matches are always fun, with so much to do in terms of moves. You'll always have fun with this, and playing each wrestler. There are other interesting aspects, such as different referees, that can count faster or slower compared to the others. There are 3 different game modes, and each one is great and fun. Over all, just spectacular.
Graphics: (7/10)
Not exactly the best graphics. They're 2D, and on a Gameboy Advance, very small. While they do the job, compared to some other games, are not the best. But the graphics are that bad. The detail is very good, and the moves are realistic. The bottom line is that, while they're not the best, they can do the job, and work well enough.
Music: (8/10)
The sound effects and music are one of the great things in the game. All of it is just crisp and clear. There are creative entrance music, and during the match, some tunes play. For the sound effects part, these are great compared to other games on GBA. You can listen to the crowd cheer or boo, or other things such as wrestlers groaning in pain.
Control: (9/10)
With a great selection of moves and submissions to perform, the control section of the game is very good. Some moves are often blocked, but if you can do something like a suplex and get the enemy down, then you can do whatever you feel like, things like stomp, body-slam, etc. Sometimes, you may not do what you wanted to do, but overall, the control is great.
Multiplayer Options: (10/10)
Awesome. Just awesome. I have fun playing my friends in things like one-on-one or tag team, and overall, multiplayer is great. If you ever need someone to practice on or someone who's actually good, you can always get the Link Cable and play your friends. This aspect is just great.
Bottom Line: (9/10)
This game is already one of the best, with amazing sounds and graphics (sort of), a huge library of moves, 150+ wrestlers, and one of the most fun modes: Create-A-Wrestler. While this isn't the best wrestling game, it came pretty close (I think it's already the best wrestling game for a handheld), and just plain fun.
