Iridion 3D

"Warning: Bad game alert!"

I got Iridion 3-D about a week after I got my Gameboy Advance. I wanted to do a review on the game to express my ideas on it because I think that this game is not too good.

Graphics: There are great graphics. This game has probably some of the best graphics of all of the games that came out in the summer of 2001, besides Rayman. I give it an 8.

Control: The control is good, although only two buttons are used, so there isn’t really that much too control. I give it a 7.

Sound: The sound is pretty good, but to get the maximum sound performance, plug in headphones to the headphone jack on the Gameboy Advance. I give the sound a 6.

Features: This is where Iridion 3D lacks big time. There are no bombs, no turbo, and nothing to unlock. Another reason I don’t like the features is that the game gives you passwords that you have to remember to get back to the level you last completed. Most games by now automatically save, unlike this game. It is very annoying to remember all the passwords, and takes a lot of fun out of the game. You can’t just turn it on and go. Yet the few features I do like are that there are a few different styles of lasers and bullets. I give the features a 3.

Fun Factor: When I first started to play Iridion 3D, it was very hard and boring. After you play the game for a while and become more experienced at it, it does become sort of fun. I give the fun factor a 6.

Difficulty: At first, the game was extremely difficult. Although, after a few hours of dieing and losing, you get the hang of it. The difficulty is a 5.

Replay-ability: It is a wonder if anyone could beat this game because it is so difficult, so you will probably be playing it until: a.) you beat it .
b.) you get rid of it
I give the replay-ability a 5.

Buy/Rent: I would definitely rent this game before I buy it. If you like it enough and don’t find it too boring, then I would buy it. But don’t buy it unless you see it for $20 or less because I think that it isn’t really worth $40.

Overall this game gets a 5. If there were some features added such as bombs and a turbo feature, maybe it would have been a better game.
