Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Review by Starwing89

"...Huh I already beat it?!"

All right right away I want to tell you guys that this game is just too short. I beat it in 2 days flat with a little help from the wonderful world of nintendo. I was holding my breath praying for a nice medium sized decent RPG that involved something more than running around in circles trying to find a stinkin potion ingrediant. But what did I get?! A STINKING ACTION/ADVENTURE!!! DANG I HATE EA!!! With all of that wonderful potential inside all Potter games this game is the worst use of it!

Graphics-7
Decent graphics resembling tony hawk Gba only darker and less animation. The Outdoors is Outdoorsy and the Castle is Castly. However the Corridors just flat out suck! I mean how are you supposed to navigate the place without the lumos spell!!!

Sound-6
They could have really done a better job with the sound. If the movie hadn't come out I might have givin it a higher rating but the sound was over repetitive and annoying. Not to mention Harry Screaming is very annoying and the voice samples stink!

Level Design-4
The only thing that's relitively good in this game level wise is the outdoors which even then is too small. The corridors cause more frustration then any other game on earth and falling down one hole means starting the level over again! Speaking of falling I've Fell more times in this game then any other in my life! I've fell through pixel wide cracks for CRYING OUT LOUD!!!

Plot-9
Though I think that EA could have done a lot better I still thank J.K Rowling for this beautiful story. This is the only high rating probobaly becuase it's the only thing EA didn't have to do with!!

Gameplay-3
With a simply massive arsenal of 5 spells you run around blasting garden gnomes. I found the only thing fun that envolved the spells was seeing what students and teachers say when you hit them with a flipendo. The worst thing about the gameplay is that there just isn't enough of it. Sure this will satisfy Hard-Core Potter fans but any one else should run! You repeat classes only around 2 times at max and potions you just spend all of your time looking for ingrediants!!

Additional comments:
This game is only for hard-core potter addicts! I found the gameboy game more interesing! Rpg Fans Should head for the hills and only loyal EA lovers Should flock to this game. It is a true disapointment to me. You only play Quidditch a couple of times and Quidditch alone would hold my interest longer!
