Fire Pro Wrestling
Review by HomeGrownKid
"The most under-rated wrestling game...EVER"
Intro
Wrestling has always been a hobby of mine, watching it and/or playing a game about it. When I decided to purchase a wrestling game for my GBA, I turned to WWF: Road To WrestleMania, due to its WWF license and its appeal to me. I got online to see reviews about RtW, and in everyone I would see, I saw a quote saying, ''WWF: Road to WrestleMania is well made, but not as good as FirePro Wrestling''. I was curious, because of the fact that FirePro Wrestling did not seem as good, and did not appeal to me. When I went to my local Best Buy(c), I chose FPW, and went home to open the best wrestling game I have ever played in my life..
Graphics
One of the strong points in FPW. The graphics can match any wrestler, of anytime. When I turned on this game, and began creating wrestlers, I saw how identical the wrestlers are to wrestlers on TV. Main wrestlers are already created for you,(IE, Stone Cold, The Rock, Hulk Hogan) and all you have to do is recolor them, which is pretty simple. The ring itself is beautifully created, and has a great angle. You can see the crowd come alive, as they cheer and wave.
Sound
The background music puts you in a great mood. You can choose from over 10 songs to play during a match, which is pretty nice. The sound effects are in-depth, making everything sound unique. When you bust someone up, you hear a lady scream, or when a ''heel'' does a move, you hear a boo. Little things like that make this whole package nice.
Gameplay
This is where the game really shines. The gameplay is so simple, you'll get it down in a few matches. I could go on and on about the gameplay, but I don't want this to go on and on. I'll let you figure this one out on your own.
Features
This game has so many features to choose from, to keep you busy for a long time. The game includes:
Tag Team Matches
Hardcore
Hell in a Cell
4-Way Dance
Audience Match
Much More!
With all of those above, this game should last a while.
Final Words
This game is a must. Even if your a wrestling fan or not, you have to have this in your GBA library. Don't rent this game, buy it(for 30 bucks its a steal). You'll have months of gameplay with this. Even without a WWF license, this game kicks, and is one of the most under-rated games for the GBA.
