"The second best Gameboy Advance RPG."

Breath of Fire... to my opinion, I really do not like the Breath of Fire series. Ryu, the young little boy who becomes a great swordsman? More like swordSBOY... the fact is, I had played the Playstation version of Breath of Fire III, and to me, it was really annoying and cursed my rpging experiences back in my younger days... but anyway... about Breath of Fire for GAMEBOY ADVANCE...

Like I said, I do not like the Breath of Fire series. Ryu, the young boy who must discover what his life is about, and must become a great swords...boy, along with his newly found friends, and there are quite some interesting things about this game I will admit.

Although I am not fond of the story, and I hate the characters this is without a doubt the second best Gameboy Advance RPG... due to there being no real other competition... and you all must agree with me on that. But, it still without a doubt earns #2 ''CURRENT'' best rpg on the Gameboy Advance system.

Graphics: 61%
Words: Although to me it looked a LOT like the Breath of Fire series from the NES, and I mean that, it was slightly freshened up a bit, but to my opinion... although supposed to be a remake and all... looks just like the NES graphics... crappy sort of.

Sound: 70%
Words: Well to me, I liked the sounds and music tunes the most due to the hard core battle type of system since it felt like a true battle with the hyper rock music and so on, very interesting sound to my opinions and knowledge...

Replay: 0%
Words: Absolutely, positively, completely, undoubtfully no replay value. Once you even PLAY this game, or even if you, god forbid, BEAT this tough game, you will not play it... again...

Gameplay: 50%
Words: This is where it falls a bit more, due to Ryu always going in the wrong direction you tell him to go, they should have made the system like Golden Sun where you could move Ryu anywhere you want in all eight directions... no wonder its not #1!

Story: 3%
Words: Terrible story,

Characters: 6%
Words: Without a doubt in my mind, the WORST characters in an RPG I have EVER played. I mean that, Ryu the little sword boy, the little princess, a TIGER who is a MAN who uses a KNIFE? It just seems very difficult to grasp such a storyline with such odd characters... in this game...

Final Words: Well, if you like odd characters and enjoyed the old Breath of Fire games and just want an RPG for your Gameboy Advance, well if you want an RPG buy Golden Sun, but if you just want ANOTHER RPG or do not like Golden Sun, buy Breath of Fire. Not taking away from Breath of Fire of it's very low and bad replay, gameplay, and story value... it is still a VERY good game that will always be remembered, and I mean that, but to me, it could have been quite better. But still without a doubt, the #2 best RPG on Gameboy Advance and probably will remain to be on the top ten for the rest of Nintendo's days... which are many!
