Disney's Peter Pan in Return to Neverland

"Don't make the same mistake I did..."

I actually bought this game. BIG mistake. It uses passwords, which I do not like. (When will that be a thing of the past?) Peter Pan looked awesome on the box so I thought this would be a pretty cool game. Let me tell you why it was just the opposite.

The Graphics
They are awesome. Really, I thought the graphics in the game were beautiful! Colorful and lively, and just plain gorgeous. There are movie clips to watch, if you find the little movie icons that unlock the clips and they look pretty good.

The Story Line
*Yawn* The story is so-So. Your classic Peter Pan story, Tinkerbell is kidnapped and Peter has to save her, so on and so forth. Nothing extremely engrossing, it's pretty much what you'd expect from ''Pan''.

The Sound
Pretty good. The music was nice, not nerve-racking in the least. There's not a whole lot of variety in the music and sound department, but I thought it to be fairly decent. Now for the ugly part...

The Game Play
Mama-Mia! The control is terrible. When you're flying, it's very hard to control as well as when you're walking and jumping. You think you're gonna land somewhere and then you fall into abyss. You're trying to fly but by the time you almost get where you want to go, your flying meter runs out and you fall back down. You have a knife for your weapon, you can either stab with it or throw it like a boomerang. I didn't care for that either because you have to get too close to the enemy to attack them. There is no challenge at all, no adventure to speak of, and you will not want to replay it ever again.

Rent or buy?
Neither. Do not even borrow it. If someone offers you this game for free, do not accept it. So certainly I would tell you not to spend your hard-earned money on it. If you are only interested in beautiful graphics and don't care about the actual gameplay, then I guess you could go ahead and get it. But don't expect to get your money's worth.

I think they could have taken these good graphics and sound and made a good game out of it. Because, unfortunately, it all went to waste. Just like the money I spent on it. Consider yourself warned.
