Review by Colonel Penguin

"Another great addition to the family"

I went through hades and high water to get this game(probelm with amazon.com)but when I finally did, it was worth the one and a half weeks I waited for it after ordering it. I was immediately impressed with the SNES like graphics and plenty of good sound. Let's get to the good stuff, shall we?
Grpahics: 9/10: I found the graphics to be astonishingly good for a GBA game, and unlike most people found no lag during battles. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the people, and some of them didn't match their portraits at all.
Sound: 7/10: Wow. The music in this game samples from previous ogre battle games, so you can recognize and familiarize with it immediately. The hits, the misses, the magic spells, etc. all sound like their Ogre Battle predecessors, and do not get repetitive at all. My favorite is the sound that you hear when someone misses. I want people(theirs and mine) in order to hear it again and again. The down side is that the music tends to be repetitive, and the voices for the characters after they died were horrible.
Gameplay: 9/10: The game slowly and steadily eases you into the gameplay, which reminds me more of FFT than past ogre battle games. Unlike, FFT, though, This game doesn't give you a 5 person limitation, or a relatively small area, for that matter. It gives you a different area for each fight to dispatch your troops, and it lets you have 8! The battles do tend to go on forever, but that gives you more time to enjoy them. The greatest addition to this game is the emblems. They do different things(good and bad)depending on what you did to deserve them(My favorite being Don Quixote, which lowers one's intelligence by 10 points, bad for a wizard). The training mode takes on a nice curve, allowing you to divide your troops into two battalions and let them have at each other! Also a good way to get emblems.
Enjoyability: 9/10: I enjoyed this game from the start. I let my friend play it for a while, and I had a heck of a time getting it back. All in all, this game can be enjoyed by many people for a long time.
Replayability: 9/10: I'm playing through the game a second time, doing everything opposite, and I can't wait to see the different ending to the game.
Ovearll: 8/10: I was really impressed by EVERYTHING about this game. I highly recommend it to EVERYONE.
